Lovely work John. I have not long started my first ever wood build ship (Constructo HMS Bounty), I am really enjoying it so far but watching loads of video's about the planking of hulls, (not worked up the courage to do that yet. I really love your videos and this build in particular. One last thing we call that kind of clip you used on the stern a Bulldog Clip.
Thank you very much!!! I have to do the build step by step and now the steps are for the decks. Thank for the info, i did not knew the name of it even in my own language! :)
Hi John, You mentioned in this video that you didn't know what "this little black piece is called." So I thought I would help by telling you it is called " a large paper clip" or "a bulldog clip", your choice. I have watched this video three times now and decided on the third viewing to send this comment. Great series so far. Bill G Linwood Kansas USA
Hi John, why is it every time I get ready to go to bed you post a video that I must watch? Great work on the decks by the way, have you ever considered doing the chalk lines in between the decks planks? I am thinking of doing it on mine and would love you thoughts on this. I'll send you some questions after Formula 1 tomorrow morning. Great video as usual.
@@JohnsWoodenShips no I mean to color 1 side of each plank maybe with a pencil or maybe a pen or even pant. Not sure yet, I know it means tons of extra work but do you think about it. Just the top deck though.
Great work on the hull decking - Montanes is a beautiful ship for sure!.
Thank you very much Christopher!!!
Wonderful job, John!
Thank you very much!!!

Thank you very much my friend!!! It can be done, but it would be very difficult to have in every two strip the same void between them.:)

@@4englishlies875 I've done chalk lines with 2B pencil. After varnishing the deck looks very good.
