Could be Yes' most excellent song .. next to The Remembering , and
like that song , never easy to pull off live ...
This version is very well done .. except for the flubs in the lyrics ( which seems
to be so common .. Anderson did it quite often ) and the keys seemed to be
too low . With all the complaints this lineup has garnered ... this is refreshing .
It's obvious Steve loves this song and admittedly I was swept away at this
version kind of like never before .

I am a high school student in Japan and I love YES. I can't see the members who are already gone, such as Chris Squire, or Yes what it used to in person. But I am happy enough to see them live.♪🎸
What is so difficult to have Jon Anderson back in the team? For Christ's sake.

I swear last time I saw them, probably late 90s, MSG in NY,
they did this and when he did the outro bit where he kind of ends it alone with that exquisite cadence, he hit that last run and looked up at all of us like he was surprised and delighted. On a side note first time was Going For The One at MSG. It was utterly astounding seeing Siberian Khatru and Close To The Edge played live for the first time. Not to mention Awaken.
I saw Tormato twice, imho an underrated work. Drama, 90125 (both MSG), Union and ABWH wrapped it up for me. So that's 7 I think. Genesis was 8. I can name every album and venue.
@@RaelNYC I was lucky to see them live once, around 2005. It was great , especialy Minddrive. Not much played I believe...

Nice. Jon sounds a little out of key at times. Steve seems frustrated with the sound management in live performances. He's always gesticulating at someone off stage. But, that's a perfectionist for you. Great guitarist, and I'm glad to see these guys still at it after all of these years, keeping the music alive.
Jon Davison has a great vocal timbre and very close to the original sound. But yeah, pitch control not nearly as good as the original Jon. I think people underestimate how much skill it takes to be as on pitch as Jon Anderson live. Few can match him.

Of the two official covers of Yes, Band of Geeks is far more convincing. Jon Anderson still sings, and well, and the band rocks. Howe was a great guitar player,and Davidson fails IMHO as Anderson copycat. Would be better to sing with his own voice.

I don' t understand how musicians of band Yes can play their music with grumpy and unhappy Steve Howe all the time something demanding with his gesticulations, face expressions and anger. It seems it s regular thing on Yes concerts when there are some mistakes done just because of that unrelaxed way of playing music. I follow Yes since 1976 but this is not so pleasant to see on stage.
More like its staged. I've seen this set twice. The year before squire passed and then in 16 when White was sick. Jon couldn't carry it then and he still has vocal issues. Anderson needs to return as well as Wakeman or his son.
@@cmichaelanthonyimages2197 : No. There are more concerts i saw about S.Howe epics. He want to control the band to perfectionism. I know on one concert the drummer ( Not Alan White) started playing the song "Onward" too fast. Steve was out of his mind and very upset.
@@TheBluesman511 Thats Jay Schellen. Saw them in 16 and he was sitting in for White. They played Ritual and he was just so off. Thats when I said no more Yes concerts. Thank good for my Yes lib and Spotify.

As a life long Yes fan I find this very depressing. This is like a bad tribute band. I have much respect for Steve Howe but if this is best they can offer dont bother.
The singer is off. Flat in many places.
This is not YES. Easy to manage because the members don't say anything except yes sir. It can't be YES without Jon Anderson, YES isn't only Howe. He should be more honest and don't use the group name but another like Steve Howe's Band

It was Jons choice for a long time that he don't wann to make concerts. The other members are not amused about that. He is a very dificult Charakter.
Sorry to be the one to break this to you but there have been a myriad of lineups that have performed under the band named YES. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Yes_band_members Jon Anderson wouldn't deny the facts he wasn't on every YES album ever recorded nor in every incarnation of the band. On the other hand, Chris Squire was the only player in every incarnation of YES up until his passing so that change was unavoidable out of necessary reality. But good luck with your notions about monolithic band lineups and getting Steve Howe, Jon Davison, Geoff Downes, et al, to conform to your thoughts on how their professional career should proceed.
@@HasinaiManIt is not necessary for you to come and compile statistics on former YES members. The reality is that for almost all of the band's followers, without Jon there is no YES. We don't like clones ha ha ha
