But it was Jar Jar's that almost destroyed the entire franchise.
The most interesting thing about Nihilus was that he wasn't in complete control of his famed ability. Eventually, he got so powerful that his Force Drain was ALWAYS active, to a relatively minor degree. It's funny really, arguably to single most powerful character in Star Wars, was nothing more than a victim of his own power, there's a lesson in there.
If he never was stopped, he would have eaten the entire force, then himself.
He didnt have full control wich explains in that he slowly passively sucked out the life of the beings around him.

The Old Republic, KOTOR, BioWare, and all that other Legends lore based before the prequels was different from the rest of the EU though, as companies were actually hired to the making for these stories.
I like a lot of the EU, but some of it is really just contradicting and in times seems ridiculously fan made, as it doesn’t respect source material.

One of my favorite SW charecters for sure. Between his terrifying voice, menacing mask and robe, insanely powerful force drain and the fact that he's basically a force ghost and can only be killed by another wound in the force... There is just no one like him in the franchise. Truly a terrifying and unique charecter!!! He would definitely play an amazing role in a Star Wars movie o.o
And there is definitely a chance of it now and he better be since there will be a Knights of the Old Republic movie trilogy.

toad 2 Sidious is canonically the most powerful sith. By his later years he mastered force storm, the strongest force ability ever. It could wipe out life on planets, destroy entire fleets and open holes in reality to teleport others like he did Luke. Go look it up, Sidious in legends was also able to drain the life of billions on Byss, not just millions like Nihilus and Vitiate did. Add on to the fact that he was the most devious sith ever, Kreia or Nihilus don’t stand a chance.
Darth Nihilus is awesome, he is one of my favorite characters in Star Wars, I hope he could have his own movie, or even return to canon, along Revan
Darth Nihilus truly was a powerful Force User. He wasn't even a Sith, because he didn't believe in their principles, he was an Entity of extreme power who's only existance was to consume.. No Jedi or Force User could stand in his way, all would be fuel to sate his unending hunger and with each being, lifeform or planet he consumed his power would increase but so would his thirst.
His goal was to consume everything the Galaxy had to offer... If he got his own way, nobody knows how powerful he would truly be, only that he would be unstoppable.
Luckly their was One... One single Jedi who could stop the darkness that was to come, this Jedi saved the entirety of Republic and The Jedi Order.. Without him/her there was nothing to stop him.
They called him/her The Exile... and The Exile might just be the most Important Force User in the history of the Galaxy.. But that's a video for another time.
If Darth Nihlus lived in the time of the Galactic Empire then Palpatine would have used Nihlus instead of the Death Star

I would also like to point just how much control Nihilus had over the force. His ship is just a bunch of parts of of a star destroyer type ship held together by his will, his crew is slowing being fed on by him but he leaves just enough life so that they may function and operate. He is also constantly looking for planets and people he may feed on. Nihilus most likely saw all life as food for him to feed on, I like to imagine that perhaps he would not have joined the Sith Empire when it reemerged.
He wouldn't join. Him and the sith emperor would of duked it out. Though I would give the victory to Darth nihilus.

Actually Nihilus was created from a wound in the force itself, not from him creating a wound in the force itself.
Is there any book that describes Darth Nihilus? I want to learn about him more. All I do know is he's the most powerful Sith in his era, maybe could have rivalled the ones if at his fullest potential.

In the EU I think Sidious has shown force drain on a planetary scale, he was slowly draining all the inhabitants of Byss to sustain himself and dark acolytes. I assume if he wanted he could kill everyone as quickly but that planet was more to lure people to it thus he did the drain slowly so he will always have an extra power source. I think it is for the best that they toned down the power levels in canon because it will be much harder to believe beings of such power being realistically defeated.
Also their wouldn’t be a point for the Death Star if that was canon, also no one palpatine would of been defeated by Vader, also no way the rebels would have survived that long,

@@unlimitedpower8960 Palpatine hadn't mastered his use of Force storms until after his first death. Plus, he virtually eliminated open use of the Force across the galaxy, with people even forgetting the Jedi really existed. People wouldn't be able to comprehend how devastating the Force could be on such a large scale, so a more physical embodiment of the Empire's power (Death Star) would be able to convey their message of might more effectively, at least until Palpatine grew more in power

He was more powerful than any other Sith before and after him considering there wasn't many Sith Lords that's rarely perfected an single special Force ability to the point where they can use it on an unparalleled level
Like a vampire the thirst controls him, even though he thought he controlled the force and the powers it granted him. The force must balance itself and this was needed to do so.
Honestly these type of powers make the Sith too OP. its really just ridiculous at that point. Also makes Yoda's claim that the dark side is not more powerfull seem like hes just in denial
He's not a "Sith" though he's just an Entity who consumes everything, his goal is to decimate everything in the Galaxy to feed his hunger.
He has this power because he's a Wound in the Force, an anomaly that was created when a Superweapon was used to destory a planet, killing millions of sentients.
Also I can't remember that quote from Yoda but if it's from the OT or PT it's going to age badly because their is just so much different lore in Star Wars and some of it contradicts each other.

Totally understand the sponsorship. Just hope it's condensed going forward. I've never been able to understand Nihilus, and maybe it's because I kicked his ass so easily in KOTOR 2, but how is a being with such a power defeatable? If he could drain whole planets he could drain whole fleets, and no one would be able to get close enoght to him to kill him.
But there was one other who might have Used Force Drain in a similar way, Sith Emperor Vititate, he became immortal by using the most complex Force Ritual in history to absorb all life on his Planet at the Cellular Level
He became unaging, but can't feel and became insane enough to eventually betray the Sith and try repeat ritual to absorb all life in the Galaxy and become a God
The Sith Emperor only absorbed one world abd became immortal while Darth Nihlus absorbed multiple planets and became a near ethereal Force Entity, still makes one wonder why Vititate was apparently stronger when he absorbed only one world and part of another at his return
Nihilus was the opposite version of a dark side nexus. One brings out the dark side and gives it strength while he take it all away
I understand darth sidious was extremely powerful, but just in shear power would Nihilus be more powerful then he because he was so in touch with the force?

Can you do the Gray Paladins from coruscant nights? They're a Jedi faction that used blasters and other weapons one was so good that she was able to send one of her own bolts straight up an enemy's blaster barrel. They also believed in using the force as little as possible so they focused on other skills like martial arts and military tactics like guerrilla warfare, urban tactics, espionage, and infiltration.
