    Time Stamps in the description.
    Episode 6 of Roze was pretty good.
    It had great moments with Ash and Narah.
    And of course some interesting fanservice.
    Let me know what your thoughts of the episode.

      @@spikmaster18 according to the pamphlet was due to the amount of casualties it was projected to take to retake the Hokkaido block.
      But this seems like a skill issue to me since you have ace pilots, brilliant leaders, and the smartest scientists in the world.
      Somehow I think they can find a way to take over the area with a small amount of casualties.
      This explanation is cap.

      @MyMediaChops I mean... During Lelouch's leadership, he always throws a lot of soldiers into the meat grinder.
      Guess you're right, and I've seen the Rozé PV that Layla & Gino will join the fight on Hokkaido (a bit late is okay I think)

    Based on earlier translation, they're referring to discarded data on Geass. Not necessarily from the Geass Order specifically, so that's a phrasing problem. It's more open to interpretation.

    • @MyMediaChops
      @MyMediaChops  Місяць тому +1

      I wish they would specify what data on Geass then.
      Because the only data on Geass that I am aware of is the data C.C. removed from the Geass Order and whatever the OSI had.

    • @bluespaceman7937
      @bluespaceman7937 Місяць тому

      @@MyMediaChops Britannia technically had a few sources of such data, possibility-wise. Bartley and the other scientists from the Code R project under Clovis (if I recall correctly, Schneizel had access to some of that in the movie-verse? It's been a while since I watched the recaps), the Geass Order itself, and the OSI as you've stated. Maybe more, but those are the ones that come to mind.

    • @MyMediaChops
      @MyMediaChops  Місяць тому

      @@bluespaceman7937 Bartley's data was lost in the Geass Order raid. Yeah Schneizel had something but I don't think that would have helped here.
      That was more on Code R C.C.
      I think Barley's data was used here because of the obvious Jeremiah and Arnold connection

      It is reasonable that in 5 years things still need to be changed. I know the ending of the original show and the movie was pretty happy, but it's perfectly plausible, even in real life, that the world is still feeling the repercussions of the war and pre war time. Moreover, the Black Knights and the UFN are still subject to the bureaucracy of laws and treaties. They are no longer an extrajudicial force. This is especially true against a nation that is able to cut themselves from the rest of the world, such as Hokkaido in this setting.

    Why do you find it weird that there was bigotry against Britannia's? Everybody hated them! A ruler can't actually stop the whole populace from doing what they want, especially not one who's trying to be benevolent. As long as that orphanage was in an area of mixed nationalities, the resentful ppl would have had plenty of chances to take wrongful revenge on any Britannia orphans. And considering how Britannia colonized many Areas, there's plenty of ways to have an orphanage with many Britannian kids off Britannia soil. Also, data recovery is a thing IRL, and there are plenty of ways in which Data could be considered 'destroyed', but still be recoverable.

    • @MyMediaChops
      @MyMediaChops  Місяць тому

      I already explained the bigotry issue in the video.
      In terms of recovering the data, they don't give any details on it which is why I press X to doubt.

    I don't know why they are trying to do the SAZ thing again. It has been done 2 times at this point and it made sense within the original series. Euphy and Nunally could pull this off because they were princesses, but Natalia just seems like a secretary to me that basically all of the knights could easily oppose. Also since the rest of Japan isn't occupied and most of the world is part of the UFN wouldn't it be easier to just try and get them out of Hokkaido? Japan is also a recognized nation now right?

    • @bluespaceman7937
      @bluespaceman7937 Місяць тому

      Well, in this case it's more of a ghetto from the practical standpoint.

      It's a little hard to say whether the UNF can send in a force. It is pretty clear that the UNF is meant to be the Code Geass historical version of the UN in our world. If the charter is anything at all similar to the UN, the UNF and the Black Knights, as they are no longer and extrajudicial force but a legitimate party associated with the UNF, may have their hands tied. One possible explanation, of which there are many more is:
      Depending on when Neo Britannia was formed, they may be recognized as a legitimate nation as they meet many of the requirements. If they formed their nation early enough after the fall of the 'Holy Empire of Britannia' where all of the territories of former Japan were still up in the air so to speak, they may be recognized as a legitimate state. And since they are not trying to colonize other places...yet... the UNF cannot mobilize their force due to their charter.
      That is just one possible explanation off the top of my head, of course may have to change a bit depending on if we get more about the lore of Code Geass in later episodes.
      All this to say that while the UNF, and the UN in our world for that matter, may be a good thing on paper and in instances where a world war is happening, like in Code Geass R1 and R2, there is a lot of legal red tape and charter bureaucracy holding them back from doing anything major. The UN doesn't even do well will coup d'etats, which could also be an explanation of why the Code Geass counterpart also doesn't do well here.

      @KapayaSiame Місяць тому +4

      Lelouch’s plan worked for the most part, but it still doesn’t erase the past actions of Britannia and wont completely stop some people to continue harboring deep hatred for them. Like in Narah situation. The whole point of Zero Requirem isn’t to bring about eternal peace but to create a new era and future past the old one. Which he succeeded.

    • @MyMediaChops
      @MyMediaChops  Місяць тому +5

      The problem for me is not that people still didn't like Britanians after the Zero Requiem but rather that enough people were legally allowed to take revenge against them.

      @KapayaSiame Місяць тому

      @@MyMediaChops Britannia had terrorized the world. Some governments would overlook it due to how terrible Britannia was. The grudges against Britannia won’t disappear and now that it’s fallen, some people will want to take their revenge. I don’t think this was legally done . It could have been happening behind closed doors like in Narah’s case. From her point of view at least .

    • @kotaindah2
      @kotaindah2 Місяць тому

      Yeah because some of japanese people still hate britania so they bully britania people. That why neo britania is form. But their action is harsh to and repeat same mistake in past. Sadly lelouch peace didn't stand long. Where the hell schneizel and nunaly to help the peace?

    • @Mairilik
      @Mairilik Місяць тому

      @@MyMediaChops The bulk of the prejudice against the Britanians in Hokkaido, which Narah Vaughn experienced and is trying to fight against, likely occurred right after or shortly after the Zero Requiem occurred. As much as it was a plan that the audience was privy to, to the rest of the world for all intents and purposes they just believed that Britanian lost and wanted revenge for their years of subjugation. While the power was transitioning from a fleeing Britanian back to the Japanese government, it is plausible and likely that a lot of people's hate crimes fell through the cracks. Moreover, the national resentment that remained probably resulted in civil servants 'turning a blind eye' to these events. It's something you see a lot in the history of previously colonized nations.
