@@theotakufangirl It's not really a spoiler since Sakuya said in the first episode her mother's name is Sherry me Britannia which makes her related to Lelouch.
also a reminder that she is also related to the people who took care of him during his exile in Japan and one of the people who were the main backer his black knights which is the Sumeragi clan. He owes them a lot.
This is just like that L.L. did at the start. Hiding ones true face behind a mask and keeping their true identity a secret from everyone. Lelouch - As Zero, behind a mask & his commanding Geass power. Sakuya - As Roze, wearing a wig, a voice changer, eye color disguise, dressing as a boy and using a similar Geass to Lelouch.
@@theotakufangirl yes. But it’s just like what Lelouch did. Hid himself behind a mask, kept it secret & has a special power (and they are 2 steps ahead. Intellect).
Honestly i didn't like episode 1 so much, but ironically first viewing i didn't confirm that liked code geass until episode 4 (which broke the 3 episode rule, i was running off of at the time) but I'm a little worried this one is rushing the plot points too quickly, since it did its equivalents of episodes 1+2 in one episode, including the "Britannians are born evil" over the top villainy. But I'm beryond willing to let it cook, I'll wait until the final episode if they're going to claim there's going to be multiple seasons of this. And any other nitpicks are definitely going to be sidelined for now besides that worry about them speed running the plot. Otherwise the disguise was cool, and honestly I am hoping, because it would make for a awesome twist, that her Geass is actually artificial and thus why there isn't the symbols in her eyes. I mean we already had the geass god thing in Akito, but it would be more interesting if V.V. or Clovis' experiments had lead to people being able to make a Geass Mimicry which could then also help explain Jeramiah's Geass canceller.
Idk I didn’t feel like the plot is rushed personally. But as for artificial geass maybe? But I really want her to have been given the geass by Lelouch because well yeah we know he’s in here somewhere it’s just WHERE is he since this is the resurrection timeline.
@@theotakufangirl well again Code Geass in general in the first two episodes has that feel and idk how many episodes this is approved for or if it might be planned to suggest that there could be or hopefully actually have multiple seasons... Or even a cliff hanger ending like CG season 1. And episodes 1 and 2 of OG Code Geass certainly felt like they were rushing through plot points at break neck speed on first viewing, I remember complaining to a friend all those years ago. But obviously it was well worth it. Like while I'm certainly not one who cares about spoilers (much) my family typically tries to avoid trailers and go into watching a show or movie blind, unless it's from a book... Then it gets real divisive among us. My mom and I are still bickering over Rings of Power since I read the Similarion and she didn't, so I hate Rings of Power with a passion since they stripped my girl of everything that actually made her powerful, and replaced her with "I swing sword good" and my mom sees a character whose a decent action protagonist. I think the only movie there where we all agreed, book and non-book alike was the eragon movie. And I read all the Code Geass Mangas that are likely to possibly be cannon, so of course my view is tainted by that nonsense. Britannian Princess/Empress disguised as a Japanese Shinobi, Knights called knightmares who all have very Shonen style special abilities, Sakuradite being used for special Shinobi abilities...C.C. making a contract that gives a kid some sort of demon arm. Marrybelle and her nonsense.
@@codyraugh6599 WAIT SAKURADITE ISNT JUST A THING FROM THE GACHA GAME LOL and well I legit just watched the first few eps of OG code geass with friends and I still dont feel like those are rushed either. Idk Ive seen rushed episodes of anime before, those def dont feel like it to me.
@@theotakufangirl yeah Sakuradite is the purple stuff that they had in containers on ships and in the batteries for the Knightmares, and was the "official" reason Britannian invaded Japan. And the bulk of it was in Mt Fuji, which makes the whole Hokkaido thing about this plot kinda odd. Other than exploring another part of Japan in relation to all of Code Geass, I can't see much in universe reason for why Neo-Britannia to be on that island in particular, like it shouldn't be of military importance enough to justify the wall being built in the first place, and it doesn't have the main Sakuradite mines, but then again maybe those underground veins shifted after Lelouch blew up Mt Fuji. Like I'm trying to wrack my mind for an in universe reason for the wall and any other reason for why invade Hokkaido rather than anywhere else in Japan. But it's episode 2 so who knows maybe all the Japanese islands have the wall and no one ever thought the walls could be used against them. (Again my point of Lelouch's Geass screwing over his dream, which is very in line with his character)
But I’m just not buying this. That Sakura is Sakuya’s ”friend”, when they look 100% identical (except: voice & personality) to each other. This is my though/theory: Sakuya & Sakura are… secret twin sisters. That they for some reason was separated and was not told they were not sisters, even though they look from head-to-feet identical. They can’t be of 2 different families and look so identical.
Fun Fact: Sakuya is Lelouch’s niece since her mother is from the royal family.
