This is the demo I've been waiting for! 99% of the existing demos for this unit only have people playing slide. I was always curious what this would sound like for non-slide guitar. Two 1176's stacked sounds like a very cool idea. I expected it would sound good, because Origin Effects pedals generally sound great, but this is the first demo that dives deeper into the unit while playing non-slide guitar . Thanks, it sounds fantastic!
Kv Dyk To be honest, I would love to try them side by side, but there's no way to do that without buying them. This one does sound really great while Shawn plays in non slide mode. I may take the chance and buy this one so I can play either style. I love the idea of cascading compressors built into one unit.
What an absolutely fantastic guitar player you are, Shawn. The way you play those steel guitar lines are breathtaking (as all your demos are) Hope you consider doing some instructional videos / lessons on day. Thanks for the inspiration.
Absolutely beautiful intro piece, and amazing playing as always (those volume swells with the harmonics - wow!!). Really wish I could have this intro piece and many of the others you've done over the years on a CD I could listen to in my car! One can only hope...
Awesome fx, just got the Cali 76 cd today and am over the moon, now I want a slide rig too. I was expecting these pedals to be good but they’re outstanding, much better than I expected. Superb playing and musicianship too.
My gosh, that intro song contains the most gorgeous sounds I've heard from a guitar. It is so inspiring! Shawn if you make an album, please oh please put this tune on it.
Great demo amigo. Been using their 6 knob deluxe pedal for a few years on my board and it's been great in all sorts of situations. It can be a little finicky with adverse temperatures or crappy power but it always seems to sort itself out come showtime.
I don't care for compressors in my stage set up, so actually I should have skipped this one. Glad I didn't. That intro was one of the best in demo-land!
Thanks for that. A lot of what this pedal does is mimic the volume pedal that a steel player would use. I play steel, and a big challenge is learning to use the VP as a compressor and as an 'emotion' pedal.
Hi Shawn, Great review as always. I'd love to see a comparison between this and the new Jackson Audio Bloom pedal. It seems both may have some similarities.
Hey Shawn, great demo as always. I live up in the Mother Lode area of Ca. and there's nowhere within several hours drive that would carry the Cali76 stacked edition. Since this demo have you tried the 76 stacked ? If so, demo ??
I'm quite sure someone would have asked this already, but here goes: You wear a lot of bike shirts. What do you ride? And what do you prefer doing (off-road mountain bike, trails, or speeding)? That is, assuming you do ride!
Hey Andre, yes I do ride and have been for about ten years now. I primarily road cycle about 120 miles a week or so and I'm thinking about getting back into mountain trail riding in the winter. I love it! I've got an old steel frame Serotta Colorado from 86' with all original Campagnolo C record comps and a 2017 Felt F3 carbon with Dura-ace comps.

And would you prefer it over the cali for non-slide?

That opener was beautiful!

Fantastic demo, fantastic playing. So musical. Thank you so much!

Love it Shawn! Love those pedal steel licks.
Stunningly beautiful playing brother. Those swollen harmonic teardrops!
Thanks very much!
one of the best demos ever
I always take a Tums before watching any of your videos, I know I’ll be getting a serious case of GAS
What??? Someone finally designed a pedal steel in a pedal? This is the most innovative pedal possibly ever!
My gosh, that intro song contains the most gorgeous sounds I've heard from a guitar. It is so inspiring! Shawn if you make an album, please oh please put this tune on it.
Great playing as usual, and a sweet demo
All kinds of beautiful Shawn.
Loving your style
Fantastic stuff Shawn!
Your coming to our town Shawn, Cant wait ! (Mpls)

Great Demo,,,just ordered one today!!!!!
Only you could nail the Lanois thing without a pedal steel. Great work, as always, Shawn!
Right!?
So much good stuff in this video.
Dang this is so cool I want one!!

CD CD CD we want CD!
And a tour :D

Thought it would be cool to learn slide, excellent alternative!
So interesting! Thanks a lot!
Bro.....Insane
Your playing and tone is just nuts...
Beautiful, Shawn! And I now have gas for the slide rig! Should I swap out my Xotic SP Compressor for this????? Dilemma...
Would love to see another slideless demo of new sliderig compact deluxe mk2
Shawn you could make me want to buy anything. It’s not fair😂
I want one!
I wish it had a 2nd or remote switch to activate (or disable) that 2nd compression circuit...

Dr/\gonfly copycat jackson audio
Fantastic 👍👍🍺🍺🇺🇸😁
Could you make a video lesson on how to setup a strat and play these sort of "slide/pedal steel" sounds?
Just gotta hear that intro one more time.... ok, one more time.....

Sorry, Bob, the only comp I've ever tried from Origin is the Slide Rig.
I sure wouldn't mind seeing a short instructional video about how you pull off that great slide sound. (e.g., a guitar lesson.)
Very nifty video.
If I might be so rude:
is there a “Cali 76 Compact Deluxe” on the horizon?
Keep up the great work!
-Scott
Thanks so much! We'll see if Origin will send one out.
David Gilmour would love this !!
Mr Gilmour actually has a SlideRIG Compact Deluxe!
It would be awesome to know the chords you’re playing during the beginning of the demo.I know you’re in A but the rest is Greek to me lol
Why is no one here playing SLIDE with this pedal? This pedal was created for slide guitarists to emulate Lowell George's slide tone.
Honestly you could just put together a compilation of all your demo intros, and I, and probably 10,000 other people would buy it. Just saying........
Definitely! So many of Shawn's demo intros are mini masterpieces!
I'm quite sure someone would have asked this already, but here goes:

Sweet!
Let's talk about that BASS TONE THOUGH--Did you also use the sliderig for that? Sounds like it might be?
I actually didn't. I used a Sansamp plug-in and an 1176 comp plug-in.
Mr. Tubbs, I love your videos, but you could really use a vocal mic.
Floating bridge on the strat? Beautiful
Thanks so much! Yes the bridge pulls back just about one full step.
Any information on the release time on stage 1?
Not sure. I would reach out to Origin Effects via the website.
Would you say it is long or kind of medium?
@@vhollund I would lean toward medium.
Thanks!
Blablabla
Sounds like you are using a volume pedal
I'm absolutely using a volume pedal.
Yêah.... that's what I meant
Counterclockwise turned upside down! ;)
