Agreed, that’s what I’m primarily listening for. The other stuff they do is great, but as fans of the show we love knowing about the process and stuff that happened behind the scenes.
13:10 - YES! Came here to say that we creatives like hearing about the process of your creations...or how happy accidents in production turned into hilarious moments. Please keep indulging us in your "self-indulgence"! Edit: Added quotation marks, as "self-indulgence" was referenced in this conversation by the gang as it relates to sharing these delectable tidbits.
3:30 Dennis needs to have his own "remote" (wireless, of course, bring the tech to the 21st century) with multiple buttons that can open, close, and lock doors all over his and Mac's apartment. INCLUDING Mac's room. Maybe there's a moment where Dennis locks Mac in his room?
Dennis becoming obsessed with the power of buttons is an episode I absolutely want to see. Maybe he gets an app on his phone and installs stuff around the bar so he can control everything.
I personally love you guys talking about the episodes. All the backstory and memories and reflecting on the episodes is so great to listen to. I've actually been a little disappointed that there hasn't been as much talk of the episodes lately. But either way, the podcast is still great, just my preference.
I think theres a lot of fans like me that would watch you guys just fuck around for an hour. Talk about the show, kick doors, talk about nothing. I dont really care. Just love ya guys
I love hearing about the episodes. I find it really interesting when you reflect on what you've created, how you feel about it now, how the show is written / produced and the people involved behind the scenes that have had a big impact. But I also enjoy hearing you all argue and rant about whatevers on your mind. The podcasts where you do a bit of both are great.
I just started watching the show BECAUSE of this podcast. I love hearing behind the scenes information about the realities of producing a show like this and to hear personal stories from your lives. If you maintain this format while continuing with the shenanigans in between, this podcast will be entertaining as long as you yourselves don't become bored.
Rob trust me when I say the fans absolutely love hearing you guys talk about the episode, also I think you’d be surprised just how much of the fan base love the more touchy subject and crazy evil episodes lol. It’s always interesting to see you guys cringe at the older episodes that are fan faves as well as thinking what you’re doing is boring.
Now just imagine how sweet that kick would’ve been if he had on the short shorts where he would’ve had full extension and it didnt restrict his leg movement! That totally would’ve been badass
haha That line about "it limits restriction of leg movement" will never not make me laugh. Just so, ... philosophical in a way. Using two negatives to get to a positive in the most convoluted way. lol
When I first started watching the podcast, I thought it would be exciting to hear the process of making a television and hear stories. What I quickly learned is that you guys are just funny and hearing you guys talk is a good podcast in itself. I think watching the episode and talking about the show is a good thing to fall back on, but it’s really funny when you listen to a podcast and realize “they never talked about the episode at all”. Keep it up!
For what it's worth, I love that this podcast has morphed into a mix of the gang just chatting, and the odd bit about an episode. It's my favourite podcast now by far. Making me rewatching episodes for the millionth time too
i love how off the rails this pod is, but i also love hearing behind the scenes, in the writers room experiences. i’m also a theatre kid, so it could just be me. The Office Ladies podcast does that super well, but this is just as much of an experience. thanks for making the podcast and giving us entertainment as well as tidbits into your experiences!
There was an anthology series back in the 80’s & 90’s called Creepshow. One of the short films involved a guy (Leslie Nielsen) burying his wife and her lover up to their necks on his private beach, with high tide coming in. The ending was cheesy (zombies) but that always seemed more diabolical to me than quicksand.
Binged Mythic Quest this past weekend. What an underrated show! I wondered why I never heard about it... Then I saw the release date: February 2020. Super glad to hear about seasons 3 and 4! People will appreciate it by then, guaranteed.
I haven't watched it yet but I plan to. AP Bio was excellent! What an amazing cast of people having a great time! Also gotta recommend The Mic. It took me a couple viewings, but it's really great. bit like Dee if she had a heart and kids to take care of/influence. :)
I very specifically love when you all recap the episode and share all of the nuances from each. The perspective of it now, the behind the scene details, the scenes you still love today. Best part of the podcast imo.
The Gang Destroys the Studio and I love it. I was also innocently eating my hot fries and I looked up to see Rob pointing directly at my eyes and calling me a creep, and I love that too.
I love how in kicking in the door and karate chopping the wood they’re basically making their own real life Project Badass footage. Bless this podcast!!
I find the process and backstory about the episodes to be very interesting because I like to reflect on those old episodes that brought me so much joy. Though I do also love just hanging and kicking in doors. All about balance I guess
They key to the show for me is: going for the intent of talking about the show; The crew then getting bored and slowly following strange tangents till we get to some golden moments such as where we find out that rob's mother abused him by making him where tiny underwear and covering him in vinegar and baking him in the sun all day.
I agree. Essentially that process led to the conversation they had about coffee/tea eggs and how Glenn compartmentalizes his food in his mouth while he is chewing/eating. I'm not sure I have laughed that hard in the last couple decades of my life.
So glad I got to see one of Glenn's dreams come true in front of my eyes.. What great friends he has (Rob and Charlie) to make this happen..... again better and better every week!!! The highlight of my Monday
I could watch these guys talk about the slowly degrading quality of paperclips and i would still tune in every single week. I think the less restrictions on what you talk about, the better. But i do really love the talk about the episodes, honestly the whole podcast is just perfect as things are. My only wish is that it were longer
I like watching them talk about the show. I also like watching them having fun and doing stuff like this where they just start walking around and breaking stuff or messing with people.
The exchange between Glenn and Rob over '"the hangover cure" is so funny to me! In my head all I can hear is Glenn screaming "This is why noone should be going off my system!" Glenn is genuinely upset about it, yet Rob totally understands that the whole "system" is nothing more than not drinking too much and staying hydrated...oh and the clear liquor part LOL So much so that Glenn has to say can we move past this; these are the type of hilarious arguments that I envision in the writers room/editing room.I totally relate to all the little things that upset Glenn all the time. Even funnier Charlie is not really all that interseted in the whole thing.
😂😂😂 this is why nobody should be off my hangover system!!! “Your system? Everyone knows about hydrating” “It’s not just hydrating, you SAVAGE, you forgot about the pure clean alcohol, IDIOT!!!😡”
I just watched the last episode of the last season and fuck man, Charlies performance was REAL. Really hit me in a new way for always sunny. My boy deserves all good things :(
Please don’t stop talking about the episodes. I do love when you go off topic and talk about other things but the podcast wouldn’t be the same without you talking about the episodes. And thank you Megan for pointing out that it’s the point of the podcast.
When Rob said he's bored of talking about the episode and let's move on I was like ffs lol. I love their random chats but also hearing about the episode and the process.
I think as long as there’s some behind the scenes story we get to hear, like the sunglasses one Rob told, talking about the episodes is valuable, even if it’s only for a few minutes!
I genuinely appreciate discussing the behind-the-scenes of Always Sunny. You all share great first-hand accounts of filmmaking, and it's interesting to see/hear you guys reflect upon it.
You guys talking about the episodes in depth is my favourite part! Especially when you give us little bits of info that we would have never known. And it always gives me great joy when I can see that you enjoyed an episode as well. It's almost as fun as watching the actual show. Keep it up gang!!
Really enjoy the podcasts guys, always gets me laughing. Don't need to change the format, like the behind the scenes stuff and the random topics. The occasional random topic episode works as well. Of course some things are hit and miss, but that's what success away from mainstream is, willing to do something different.
I actually love when the podcast goes off the rails and it turns into the guys fuckin' around and breaking shit and talking about coffee eggs and lathering yourself in vinegar. Not to say I don't enjoy when they reminisce on episodes, though. It's all so great. Truly the one thing I look forward to every week. Y'all are what's keeping me going right now and I think I speak for everyone here when I say I really, really appreciate this podcast and the wonderful people behind it; on and off camera.
The thing I love about the door marked private, is that you know Charlie isn't thinking of a modern day Somali pirate, or even a Jack Sparrow pirate...he's not even thinking of a Captain Hook pirate. He's thinking of a Scooby-Doo ghost pirate.
I appreciate how reflective the cast members are about how they depicted certain issues throughout the early seasons and how they may have been insensitive but if people can’t understand the show is about ignorant people with extremely limited worldviews who do dumb stuff and ultimately are eventually held accountable for most of those choices, then they shouldn’t be watching tv. Edit: I posted this before they addressed this in the podcast lol

This podcast brightens up every Monday of mine. I'm so glad that you guys have decided to this. I've been enjoying every podcast episode. 🙂🙌❤️
Agreed 👍 Nice to see them just having fun and talking about whatever 😉
Same!!
Could not agree more! I also listen to Bad Friends today. Mondays no longer suck!
+1
This and Smartless!
I personally love you guys talking about the show, and it isn't boring to me. You could talk about anything though, and I would listen / watch. I am a creep, and I love crepes.
Amen! CREEP SOLIDARITY FOREVER!✊🏾😜
Agreed, that’s what I’m primarily listening for. The other stuff they do is great, but as fans of the show we love knowing about the process and stuff that happened behind the scenes.
@@johnbod Exactly! I watch these to get the missing insight we used to get from them doing episode commentary on all the physical media releases.
It’s like the old DVD commentaries. Absolutely love knowing what they were thinking while making this show
@@Mitch-M Yes! You know what is up!👍🏾😜
The way Charlie keeps bringing up Ninja's & Glenn keeps telling him Ninja's dont do that 😂
13:53 Glenn's dead stare at Rob is gold.
you mean 14:03?
The mic in the face as Dennis is trying to explain how he's feeling after the kick seems very show like lol. Had me dying.
Glenn getting angry about Charlie putting the mic in his face makes me laugh hard.
Do you have a time stamp?
Nvm i saw it
literally something dennis would be mad about too lol
@@juiicex2 18:19 for others
Robs face at the end had me dying and then the last line of Glenn saying, "I just decided I'm not gonna pay for the door." Lol
Whenever you three argue it’s legit entertaining asf! Lol you can tell y’all are for real buds.
I never realized that the way they interact naturally is the way they interact on the show. Which makes me laugh even more
This podcast consistently dropping new episodes at like 3am has made me appreciate my insomnia for the first time ever
Feeling very seen right now. Even if they just have it scheduled to drop at midnight pacific, it feels like a gift.
ikr
Guess am lucky that in Australia episode drops at 5pm. Perfect Monday after work wind down.
I enjoy the alone time, you don't get that during the day
13:10 - YES!
Yessss! THIS
Any true fan(atic) of any art form loves to here the creative process. It is not self-indulgent, it's fan service, and that is exactly what we want.
And Frank finds his way to the electricals in the building and unknowingly causes chaos in their apartment
I think they know that and its kind of selfless of them to try and talk about the episodes anyway
Using two negatives to get to a positive in the most convoluted way. lol
I love the running gag of Charlie explaining the visual components to the listener 😂😂😂
well it's more like proper podcast/radio etiquette than a running gag lol
the describing of visuals and the filling in of long silences
Gag?
@@williamgass9242 as in bit, joke, etc
@@ThatGuysLucky I don't think it's a gag.
Making me rewatching episodes for the millionth time too
YES WE LOVE YOU GUYS TALKING ABOUT IT. Hearing the behind the scenes stuff is amazing. And the process.
i love how off the rails this pod is, but i also love hearing behind the scenes, in the writers room experiences. i’m also a theatre kid, so it could just be me.
That last episode was amazing. Like a whole movie
The whole Apple TV thing didn't help
I haven't watched it yet but I plan to. AP Bio was excellent! What an amazing cast of people having a great time! Also gotta recommend The Mic. It took me a couple viewings, but it's really great. bit like Dee if she had a heart and kids to take care of/influence. :)
@@joseph-zoramcbride4029spoiler alert: Mythic Quest goes downhill fast in season 3. They should've quit while they were ahead!
I very specifically love when you all recap the episode and share all of the nuances from each. The perspective of it now, the behind the scene details, the scenes you still love today. Best part of the podcast imo.
18:20 Glenn's reaction to the microphone is pure Dennis lmao
The Gang Destroys the Studio and I love it. I was also innocently eating my hot fries and I looked up to see Rob pointing directly at my eyes and calling me a creep, and I love that too.
I love how in kicking in the door and karate chopping the wood they’re basically making their own real life Project Badass footage. Bless this podcast!!
I find the process and backstory about the episodes to be very interesting because I like to reflect on those old episodes that brought me so much joy. Though I do also love just hanging and kicking in doors. All about balance I guess
I agree, I wish they talked about the episodes more, but I also love all the other stuff
I greatly enjoy the sneaker selection of the gang
Can I get an ID on those NBs?!
I could watch these guys talk about the slowly degrading quality of paperclips and i would still tune in every single week. I think the less restrictions on what you talk about, the better. But i do really love the talk about the episodes, honestly the whole podcast is just perfect as things are. My only wish is that it were longer
The gang solves the Monday blues situation! Love you guys (:
Lmao this is so true
I like watching them talk about the show. I also like watching them having fun and doing stuff like this where they just start walking around and breaking stuff or messing with people.
I think you guys don’t talk about the episodes enough! It’s interesting hearing what you guys remember about filming the episodes!
Everyone knows about hydrating”
“It’s not just hydrating, you SAVAGE, you forgot about the pure clean alcohol, IDIOT!!!😡”
I love that you guys do something different often. Keeps me coming back for sure. The context on your episodes is the best
The line definitely should've been "yippee kie yay, Mr. Falcon"
OMG YESSS😂😂😂😂
The episode talk is why I tune in. Could listen forever to you talking about writing, filming, casting, editing etc
I love how this podcast, just like the Sunny episodes, has quickly digressed into total absurdity😂
Thanks Megan for keeping the gang talking about the episode even though they find it boring :)
Or the vinegar at the beach story 😂
I genuinely appreciate discussing the behind-the-scenes of Always Sunny. You all share great first-hand accounts of filmmaking, and it's interesting to see/hear you guys reflect upon it.
15:59 Felt straight out of the show.. 😂👌 The dynamic is second to none.. 😂
You guys talking about the episodes in depth is my favourite part! Especially when you give us little bits of info that we would have never known. And it always gives me great joy when I can see that you enjoyed an episode as well. It's almost as fun as watching the actual show. Keep it up gang!!
it's my favorite part too!
Really enjoy the podcasts guys, always gets me laughing. Don't need to change the format, like the behind the scenes stuff and the random topics. The occasional random topic episode works as well. Of course some things are hit and miss, but that's what success away from mainstream is, willing to do something different.
Watching these episodes again with the gang is great cause they always point out a few things I would have never noticed
Yeah same ! Even tho I’ve seen them all repeatedly!
I’m Ron Burgundy?
"Making it far more choppable" Dude you are killing me 😂
Amazing! The line between the characters and real life is getting more and more blurred... I love it 🤩
Them doing the fence chopping all giddy reminded me of doing that sort of random stuff as a kid 🤣
Him talking about his mom spraying him in vinegar made me laugh until I cried.
The thing I love about the door marked private, is that you know Charlie isn't thinking of a modern day Somali pirate, or even a Jack Sparrow pirate...he's not even thinking of a Captain Hook pirate. He's thinking of a Scooby-Doo ghost pirate.
20:09 Ninjas don't do that is the new mantra
I appreciate how reflective the cast members are about how they depicted certain issues throughout the early seasons and how they may have been insensitive but if people can’t understand the show is about ignorant people with extremely limited worldviews who do dumb stuff and ultimately are eventually held accountable for most of those choices, then they shouldn’t be watching tv.
Edit: I posted this before they addressed this in the podcast lol
