Definitely worth confronting the problems and disagreements in your life head-on. Better to spend half an hour arguing and then have a weight off your shoulders for the rest of your life, than to just carry that weight around with you everywhere you go for the sake of comfort. People who never give anyone a chance to disagree with them never learn when they're wrong. And nobody is always right.

These three men communicate and empathize better than anyone I’ve ever seen. It’s no wonder they seem so happy in their family life and personal life outside of work. It’s amazing
I agree. You can see the admiration they have for each other too. They obviously have such a great relationship between the 3 considering they have been working on the same show for almost 20 years and it’s rare in that business something like that last this long.
I like that Glenn & Rob trust each other enough to be straight to their face. I would much rather have conflict & sort out an issue with a close friend than have someone hold it in or say it behind my back. Love that Charlie is the peace maker ❤
Why am I sobbing over these long time friends smiling and talking about movies and jokes that didn't make it in and idk. Its magic. They still have it. They still respect each other. They are still IN it. They still got the jokes. Their hearts are all in it. Still. This literally brought a tear to my eye watching this podcast for the 397th time. Thats why we love it. Doesn't matter if you talk about Anne Wilson or the episode. We just like the inside baseball of it all and watching friends hang. We feel like we've always been a part of the gang.
They are literally saving face like half this episode because of the stupid ass shit they talked about last episode. Well glen and Rob’s anyways, Charlie stayed clear of their bills hit antics.
This episode is another reason why season 5 is the best in the series. There are so many iconic moments; Frank’s toe knife, Charlie’s explanation of cat physics, Dennis’ outburst about the apple-as Glenn said, it’s all laughs from start to finish.
This has been the one I've been waiting for. Mac and Dennis Break Up is one of my favourite episodes, it's such a perfect distillation of what the show is with the classic dynamics. This is the episode I recommend to people if they've never seen the show before.
It was more so they subject matter than how they handled themselves I’m calling it now - they’re going to find themselves in a controversy regarding pseudoscientific nonsense. The mad smoothie thing, Glenn was sucking off is genuinely bad for your health. Even with their sponsors, Better Help is predatory. I know they’re expected to sponsor shit but they do it in such a “snake oily” type of way
Then I think they should probably make a separate episode about that, not piggyback on the podcast about the actual show's episode. But whatever I'm just a savage and an idiot
i feel like it’s really rare to get to see people organically work through conflict like this in such a healthy way… sharing convos like this with people is so generous & offers such a lovely model of what productive and friendly conflict can look like!! great pod
"Mac and Dennis Break Up" Is definitely in my top 5 episodes of all time, i'm glad the guys agree that its an absolute banger. "Peel this apple for me" might be my favorite comedic moment in the whole series.
Can't speak on behalf of the rest of the fans, but I tune in for the gang. Same with watching Always Sunny. Getting to hang out with you guys doing your thing is all that matters, you don't need too much structure.
I love this podcast so much, it’s genuinely the only one where they can change something every week and I’m on board with it. Usually I’m so adverse to change but with these guys, I trust it. I trust they can make an amazing podcast regardless of anything that happens to it. Love you guys, stay hot.
People keep saying Charlie is the glue but man lemme tell ya.. That cool chick from the other podcasts leaves for like 1 episode and all hell breaks lose.
As someone attempting to address possible ND, do you mean Rob's ability to naviagte conflict and passing that to Glenn, or Glenn learning how to navigate from Rob? Or maybe something else intiretly?
@@CH1K3N99As someone who is also trying to address possible ND, I took it as Rob was the one who wanted to have the upfront conversation and sort out the problems, because problems need solutions. The most direct route may be conflict, but I would say for the most part it’s just passionate communication. I related to his perspective thoroughly.
I think people avoid conflict not just because it's uncomfortable but because it can be exhausting. Even if you are as good at conflict resolution as these guys just hearing the constant debates sounds exhausting; I imagine that's why they enjoy filming so much more than writing.
It’s hilarious that Rob is more pragmatic about health, diet, and science, and Glenn is more holistic crunchy pseudoscience-prone considering that their characters are the EXACT opposite.
I love how they subtly say lines from the show in the pod, such as “And then it just kind of ‘ends’” And Glenn saying “then the internet ruined everything” the same tone as Frank says “then AIDS ruined everything” Nice touches for the fans
I don't think it's on purpose. They often wrote those lines or improvised them. Sometimes the might be aware of it, but I'm sure they often say things that they forget are quotes from the show.
Shoutout to Mara for boldly stepping up to fill Megs shoes. Tough role to take, but she did well despite the gangs best efforts 😂 Love everything about this podcast.

I'm so glad they did the Video store clerk guy reread from the episode, I laughed at the exact sametime Glenn and Charlie did at Rob's line delivery 😂 Gold
Y’all really do have such a healthy view on conflict. I’d say Rob is one of the most emotionally intelligent people on the planet. Constantly learning from him!
I was in a dark head space this morning, thank you guys so much for pulling me out of it. You guys are the brothers I miss. I grew up wth 2 brothers, man today's pod hit me, in a good way. Rob and Glenn getting into it really felt like home. Charlie trying to be the voice of reason, again comforting. Thanks for these, even when you get off track, WE LOVE IT! ❤️
I appreciate this. I finally get Robs perspective, and it’s beautiful. Back on the aftershow I thought he was genuinely pissed, but now I get he has a different relationship with conflict than most people and it really is a positive thing if people are able to hash things out and be honest.
What makes comedians brilliantly funny is their ability to understand truths. Listening to your guys' conversation was absolutely brilliant and we thank you for it
It was pretty amazing to see Robs mind blown. Just watching you guys be yourselves and navigate each other in a mature and grown manner is such a pleasure. I appreciate the time yall set aside to do this. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, thank you; to everyone involved in making this possible, highly entertaining.
I think it’s not uncomfortable for you guys bc you’re friends. While a listener might *feel* like they know you parasocially, they don’t actually know where your limits are. Basically the viewer doesn’t know if they’re witnessing a real fight or not lol.
I love seeing the conflict and I find it super interesting to watch you guys hash it out. I think an episode of you all debating the best episode would be brilliant.
One of my favorite lines is in this episode. "This little lady is a calico cat. All calico cats are female." I thought it was one of Charlie's crazy Charlieisms that couldn't possibly be true. Then I come to find out thats for the most part, true.
This episode was fantastic. First, “Comedy Voltron” might be my favorite line from the entire podcast series. 😂 But Glenn’s description of conflict not being conflated with negative outcome was so spot on. That really resonated. I’m going to borrow that in future conversations.
If anything you guys did a great job showing how to handle conflict resolution. The moment it went from slightly contentious to everyone understanding the reason for the contention and moving on as friends was pretty neat to watch.

110% here for more episodes of the guys talking freely about life and conflict and who they are etc!!!
Love that Charlie is the peacemaker of the trio lol
the puke sounds dennis did after eating the seeds in this episode is the best thing I ever heard
“In body mass alone” 😂😂😂😂😂 the fact mac is fixated on the movie with mens bodies and thy need to keep watching it still gets me
People probably comment this on every video… but I just want Kaitlin to be part of this more often
She's as involved as she wants to be
These three men communicate and empathize better than anyone I’ve ever seen.
Literally I aspire for this level of healthy relationships
It’s so great to see three friends understand each other so well. Love seeing them push each others buttons.
Their chat about the last talk and conflict, holy shit that was fascinating and healing. Five star men. Mara... "this is riveting."
I like that Glenn & Rob trust each other enough to be straight to their face. I would much rather have conflict & sort out an issue with a close friend than have someone hold it in or say it behind my back. Love that Charlie is the peace maker ❤
I jumped ahead like 7 times and still heard the words "master cleanse" each time
Hey...
Master Cleanse™️
I like how Mara tries to segue back into discussing the episode but they totally ignore it and go back to arguing lol
Shes also just very bad at her job here
@@TheRealMarcgiwell she’s not used to it
@@TheRealMarcgi bad how? She asks solid questions and helps push the conversation forward
These guys are great friends cause a lot of ppl couldn’t have a conversation like this productively
Macs cadence in this scene is comedic genius. Still makes me laugh out loud.
Rob, Glen and Charlie are putting on a communication and relationship seminar. These guys are giving it away for free!
literally 😄
They are literally saving face like half this episode because of the stupid ass shit they talked about last episode. Well glen and Rob’s anyways, Charlie stayed clear of their bills hit antics.
Chumps.
Great writing in Mac and Dennis break up…..Predator is incredibly homoerotic …right up mac’s alley-pun intended 💪🏻
The body mass alone...
My mom took me to see predator in the theater and I tried to get her to explain the joke about the house and the pussy
As Charlie would say, " I mean, what's more masculine than that?".
If you wanted it to be a bicep it needs more veins on it.
Honestly, I just like hearing the guys banter and talk for hours. They can talk about the episode or anything for that matter.
Last weeks podcast may not have been a successful conversation but it was hella entertaining
With all due respect, you only need the three of them shooting breeze to make a good podcast
yeah i much prefer the free form
I vote to throw her out. REASON WILL PREVAIL
Are we saying "hella" now?
@@kylemartin7871 "we" are not doing anything. One person used the word. You are not obligated to. Fight me. (I like conflict too)
I loved last weeks episode, felt natural. like hangin out with the gang
It was garbage.
whatever jabroni
It was more so they subject matter than how they handled themselves I’m calling it now - they’re going to find themselves in a controversy regarding pseudoscientific nonsense.
The mad smoothie thing, Glenn was sucking off is genuinely bad for your health. Even with their sponsors, Better Help is predatory.
I know they’re expected to sponsor shit but they do it in such a “snake oily” type of way
Then I think they should probably make a separate episode about that, not piggyback on the podcast about the actual show's episode. But whatever I'm just a savage and an idiot
@@keithriley6597Can't like it if I don't
i feel like it’s really rare to get to see people organically work through conflict like this in such a healthy way… sharing convos like this with people is so generous & offers such a lovely model of what productive and friendly conflict can look like!!
Love you guys, stay hot.
megan not being here for this specific episode, we lost 😭😭
The way these three communicate with each other is just brilliant, i think a lot of men and people in general could learn a lot from them.
I love their real conversations. It’s both funny and thought provoking.
People keep saying Charlie is the glue but man lemme tell ya.. That cool chick from the other podcasts leaves for like 1 episode and all hell breaks lose.
The line up with “Mac and Dennis Break Up” and the beginning of this is incredible 😂
14:18 onwards, Rob and Glenn getting to the heart of autistic interactions. Very relatable
I love how they subtly say lines from the show in the pod, such as
“And then it just kind of ‘ends’”
And Glenn saying “then the internet ruined everything” the same tone as Frank says “then AIDS ruined everything”
Nice touches for the fans
I don't think it's on purpose. They often wrote those lines or improvised them. Sometimes the might be aware of it, but I'm sure they often say things that they forget are quotes from the show.
@@droughdough they know exactly what they’re doing
@@droughdough they absolutely are doing it on purpose lol Jesus Christ
Charlie is the glue holding this show together
Edit: 47:30 best delivery from Rob in a long time 😂
Charlie sniffs glue
@@kazmiller7195 In conclusion, Charlie sniffs himself.
@@MamadNobari I’d sniff him
@@MamadNobariCharlie is a metaphor for Charlie
Charlie Day or Charlie Kelly?
Shoutout to Mara for boldly stepping up to fill Megs shoes. Tough role to take, but she did well despite the gangs best efforts 😂
Love everything about this podcast.
The beginning of this was lovely where the guys respectfully clarified each others’ perspectives and intentions with some of their discussion from the last episode. This should be watched by all friend groups and couples. 😀🙌🏼
Robs laugh is so infectious his entire face lights up when he laughs hahah ☺️😂 this and last weeks podcast made me laugh so much they were rly tapping into their characters 😂😂
THE NEW SEASON IS SO FUNNY!!!! I think the podcast has inspired them for this season
This was the very first episode of sunny I ever watched and I still maintain it’s the best one. I’ve been waiting for this podcast forever
Glenn’s smirk that Charlie was talking about was soooooo funny
The last podcast was great. I love a fiery debate
Hell ya!
Definitely a top tier episode of the Pod because of the raw emotions. KEEP IT UP GUYS, you guys are the best
I think it’s not uncomfortable for you guys bc you’re friends. While a listener might *feel* like they know you parasocially, they don’t actually know where your limits are. Basically the viewer doesn’t know if they’re witnessing a real fight or not lol.
Exactly. This episode and the previous didn't feel as fun as any other episodes.
What? i know it wasnt a real fight it was pretty easy to see that it was just banter 😂
I dont feel like i know these people, theyre just actors i admire on a show i love.
@@dumb525 the man shouted "he's fucking gaslighting me!!"
That doesn't feel to me like banter.
@@itmeurdad It did to me.
I love seeing the conflict and I find it super interesting to watch you guys hash it out. I think an episode of you all debating the best episode would be brilliant.
Charlie's look and little nod at 9:20 just made me laugh and appreciate the context so much
This is awesome. I hope I can find the kind of friendships they have because the communication between them is really beautiful
This podcast hasn’t even begun to peak
Im totally on Mac's side here...
You can see the rage boiling up inside dennis... I mean Glenn.
But Glenn’s description of conflict not being conflated with negative outcome was so spot on. That really resonated. I’m going to borrow that in future conversations.
If anything you guys did a great job showing how to handle conflict resolution. The moment it went from slightly contentious to everyone understanding the reason for the contention and moving on as friends was pretty neat to watch.
