DUUUDE, this looks great! I cant wait for the real pilot to come out. In my opinion, you nailed one of the most important points in story-writting. CHARACTERS. Some might say they are a little "carboard cuttout-ish" but i would strongly disagree. I found all of them very enjoyable, and honestly im really looking forward to their development. Victor is a self-sentered ass sometimes, but still very fun to watch. Doh-Li was a pleasant surprize cause at first i expected her to be sort of mother and very calm-collective. Her breakdown when team got lost was just beautiful. Kanikus laugh deserves a special "thank you!" to the voice actor, (seriously great work). Phycopath Melody another perfect cinnamon roll, too pure for this world. Brutus is probably gonna be my favorite character. And finally Kaleb who seem's to be that "simple-guy-who-isnt-very-brave-or-strong-or-smart-but-gosh-darn-he's-trying-his-best-and-he-has-a-heart-of-gold-and-blah-blah" was actually not that bad. I can totally see myself rooting for the guy to succeed and get to his goal. So summing this giant ass comment...*rise and begin slow clap* GOOD LUCK AND BEST OF INSPIRATION GUYS!!! P.S. Also the parts with Kaleb and Brutus are very heartwarming.
Wow this is great. At first I found it off-putting because it was an animatic (of course), but by the end I had forgotten it was an animatic and just got lost in the story. That's some good stuff right there.
You know, now that I see a full episode of something Zachary Rich made without direct influence from another animation...I have two things to say. 1. It's true that people learn from their past. While Double Rainboom was most likely less than what he expected, Zach was able to understand his weak points and make them stronger, either by not focusing on that part of a story as much, or by creating a narrative instead of a lesson. And Zach is definitely able to focus on a narrative. 2. I seriously hope that this show gets all of the support it needs. Sure it'll take forever and a half, but the things that take forever and a half from the same people, they tend to have much more love and care put into it. So if this full-length animation comes out in 2017, I'd be happy with that.
"Do not fear, for Viktor is champion swimmer!" I love the voice acting for all the characters! It's like how I always imagined them! I like how they interact with each other and how there's tension between a few of them. It's quite hard to pick favorites because they are all such good detailed characters. I can't wait to see this completed!

How could Nickelodeon not see the potential in such a concept; and they're giving the greenlight to a show based on Henry Dangerfield and one about an anthropomorphic hotdog in a human high school? YES, THEY'RE LITERALLY PASSING UP AN AMAZING ANIMATED/FANTASY/ADVENTURE/COMEDY/DRAMA FOR A SHOW ABOUT A LIVING HOTDOG IN A HIGH SCHOOL!! In this generation of TV animation, there are just barely any shows that really stir our imagination and thrill us with epic storytelling and great characters. Most shows seem to be more concentrated on humor and simple flash animation. I can understand they're just trying to keep their shows kid-friendly and safe to watch, but I didn't see or hear ANY signs of bad language, sexual themes, rude humor, or any gore whatsoever. Sure the army of living skeletons looked a little scary, and the cute bunny with a dozen knifes might have been a little extreme. But other than that, I just didn't see anything wrong with this pilot. This looks like the perfect show for audiences both young and old. That's the main problem in the business world of entertainment industries, no matter how creative and amazing your idea is, you can't impress everyone. It's the same thing with movie scripts; producers and directors are always messing with the original script and making it completely different from the writer's idea. I do hope and pray that the executives of Nickelodeon will at least be more approving and interested with your lighter and less serious version of True Tail. If they STILL don't like it, forget them! You could always pitch this idea to a publishing company as a graphic novel series; that way you can keep the original concept. You and your team have a GREAT idea here! And, one way or another, you should share this amazing idea and story with the world! Never give up!!!
I freaking love this. The characters are fun and expressive. The music is very catchy. The voices fit the character very well and all perform beautifully. I especially love their interactions. I can't wait to see more.

Cartoon Network's fine, as long as they don't drop it on Boomerang, and Discovery Family or Disney XD are also good candidates for a good home for this show. Even Netflix isn't that bad a choice.

Ok, I am super psyched for this! Instant Sub and Liked! The animatic did a wonderful job in showcasing what's ahead as well as pacing out each scene. Not to mention the characters are pretty diverse and hysterical. I'm eager to see their next journey. Favorite characters so far would have to be Melody and Caleb. They're so cute.
Tanner Walton it won't be finished, as the studio decided to change the whole concept of this project, for a more "kid friendly" setting (a generic school AU) to pitch the idea to TV networks as Nickelodeon and CN.

Squeeeee I am SO EXCITED!! This animatic is so wonderful, I love all the characters and their relationships (so much sass, and how cute is it that brutus always protects the little squire?!) The story is already looking intriguing, unique and fun, AND the voice talents all did an amazing job! This made me smile, laugh, and cheer! Wonderful! I am so excited about it. Oh, so Brutus really talk? I thought that he would be one of those characters that only answers with grunts or some noises, letting him to show his thoughts with expressions and gestures. He would be the most violent of the group, letting his actions speak louder in some situations, but also the most kind person-- uh, bear on all the group however he would not really like to show it clearly. It would be funny though.

I am very impressed with your plot and story telling style and the music and the crazy personalities of each of the characters. I have to admit that when I first heard Viktor's voice in a promo I thought that it was off, but now that I've seen him in action, rather than in a description, there are no other options. Again thank you for putting this out for all your fans, your characters are truly coming to life! P.S. I love the art style you are going with.

Man, this was an awesome treat. Seeing how the episode is going to pan out and the way you did the animatic was very professional. I'm a sucker for this preproduction stuff, because it can teach me a thing or two when it comes to preproduction on my own show. Viewing this animatic as shown me some cool things I should keep in mind when producing an episode and also it was a great way to view a proper animatic in action. Of course I can't wait to see the final piece of production when it finally does come out, and I hope this amazing show gets picked up at some point, and if it already has, will be a success. Im generally interested in Brutus and Kaleb's relationship as Mentor and Apprentice. Or Master and Squire. Im curious whether its the "I want to impress my master" type situation, or "the cold shoulder from the mentor" type situation. I hope there's an episode centered around it and gives more depth to it in the future! Aside from that, I adore the voice acting and the pilot overall. Keep up the great work!
