There actually is a Silly Symphony short like this. I can’t remember what it’s called, but it involves a mouse that wants to have wings and fly. Although it involves the mouse rescuing a fairy, not a bird
@Epic Sword We could lift you up in a chair, that has wings, we could even put a holder for your drink within the chair, so you can enjoy a good flight 🕊🌸

Have you seen Burrow? I don't even bring it up to claim that one is better than the other, but they are similar and are both stunning in their own ways. I don't get the modern day assertion that the entirety of Disney is somehow artistically bereft.
It's primarily due to Disney's current obsessiveness over political pandering. This is both absolutely adorable and extremely pretty! The characters are so cute and you gave them so much expression and life! I love how you kept the whole animal thing with the bird cocking it’s head but also the scarf and book. The animation is so smooth and the backgrounds are beautiful. I adore this so much ❤️ it came out AMAZING
This short film is ADORABLE! I love the characters and it's such a cute happy story. It's the exact thing I like too. It's simple but beautiful and gives off happy vibes.
I can't find the happy here. His home looked so cozy and warm in the winter. Does this friendship will last forever? It is a cute story, but the reality is not here
@@otilialefey8514 then what were you watching? It's about courage, bravery, kindness, friendship, gratitude, wishing, joy and happiness. You must be very young and nieve. Don't know if you ever heard the Aesop's story about "The Lion & the Mouse". The animation's overall concept is like that Aesop's story. As for friendships lasting forever is an extremely rare thing. As you age the friends you made makes new friends and so do you. This process is always ongoing which is a part of life. In the animation I'm sure their friendship will last until something ends it like no food for one of them so one has to leave to find food or water. Distance is usually a real killer to end friendships and relationships. The other variable to end a friendship is death. So the reality here is very real.
This would be a beautiful children’s book, as it is a gorgeous animation. Short and simple. But it is very expressive and you can tell EXACTLY what is going on within the film without a single word being spoken. Absolutely stunning.
The level of detail and depth in this film is astounding! Combined with beautiful animations and a heartwarming story, this is the best film I’ve seen in a while!
I love that the robin's voice was actually the calls and sounds of an American Robin and not just generic "bird". In particular, the alarmed chirping when the mouse jumps on the wing to remove the string. That's actually the sound a robin makes when something has spooked it.
This is adorable! The story isn't really original or surprising, but it's cute and works. What I like most about this is that you understand everything without a word being said. Recently I heard when the viewer understands what's going one and the emotions while watching an animation without sound it's a sign that it's pretty good. That works well here. I like the drawings, too. Reminds me of old cartoons. Feels warm
@@Jroobelucios They mean that it's a story that's been done quite a lot and doesn't deviate from that kind of story in any noticeable way. You pretty much know beat for beat what's going to happen in the story. That's not to say it's bad by any means and I highly doubt that's what Akefia is suggesting. Things do not have to be original to be good.
@@Jroobelucios It's the classic "one good turn deserves another" story. One character does something kind to the other, and the other character returns the kindness. It's a simple moral, but a good one.

Aside from the art being beautiful in its own right, this is the kind of down-to-earth nature theming that helps me appreciate the real world's beauty in a new way. The power of animation, man. Keep up the wonderful work, and may you never be interpolated by AI at 60 fps! :)
Beautiful animated, good story and more intertesting things to say: 1 ) have a happy ending and both are friends now. 2 ) it's emotional and made me cry. ( Not a Bad thing ) 3 ) the texture of animation is very rich. 4 ) characters are moving very awesome. 5 ) teaches kids a lesson: be good with others and others will be good with you. 6 ) lets hope the people who disliked the video dont know how to use the phone. 9\10. Nothing is Perfect but this is Incredible.
This is so emotional and sweet. The animation is so animal like, it captures the characters the way they're real self would move. Friendship is such a great thing, and I bet nobody would expect a mouse and a bird to become friends! ❤

This is a really well made, cute film. Funny thing though: Despite most of the people in the comments mentioning Disney I got more of a Ghibli-vibe from some of the animations. Would be interesting to know if and where the animators took inspirations from.
Oh my Gaho True, but it‘s also the way they animated the rain drops and some of the mouse‘s expressions remind me of Jiji from Kiki‘s Delivery Service.
The way they animated the characters doesn’t look anything like the Disney or Ghibli style of doing characters, but the contrast between stylized characters and painted backgrounds may be what is reminding people of both studios. The inside of the mouse’s house is a bit like the inside of Arrietty’s house from one ghibli movie though.
i'm not one to cry often, but this had me BAWLING. something about the art style, the plot.. just everything about this animation made me shed real tears. you did an absolutely wonderful job!! i'm surprised Disney hasn't hired you yet!
This is such a sweet short! And what a great ending; the robin rewards the kind-hearted mouse by giving him the flying experience he's dreamed about. I also love the music. Everybody who took part in making this short oughta take a bow. It's brilliant! 👏🏻

@@dawnstorm2795 Yes but it doesn't have to make sense, to be good. And that's not what I really said. But it's just that this person, or you idk, sounded really rude with the way they were talking about the animation that could've taken this person years. I just thought they deserved some praise.
This was fantastic. The watercolor backgrounds are especially beautiful, and make this feel so friendly and inviting. Combined with the slightly sketchbook look of the characters, I could easily see this being adapted from a beloved children's classic. I don't know what more I can say, this is absolutely lovely, and my eyes feel pretty wet after watching it. Happy trails!
I like the very mild anime undertones. The way the birds mouth gets all squiggly, many of the gestures and moments, the whole aesthetics of the characters. It's just got those small quirks you see in Japanese animation that's great for conveying small cute moments and stuff. Very pleasing to the eye.
I have a HUGE soft spot for animals (hope everyone has) so when I saw the bird stuck , injured, and his other bird friends ignore them I just.... teared up, going "awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww , noooo, someone help, Mouse dude, help them"
Let me tell you that birds do help their companions as much as they can but the true fact is that once a bird damages its wing there's almost zero possibilities he will sur vive. But let me tell you something el se. When a bird is caught by an animal all kind of birds go down and put their life in danger to help him. The next day they will still be angry and sad and you can observe how they keep yelling at the predator or stay nearby maybe waiting for their friend to show up. They' ll keep doing this for who knows how much time. The whole scene is heartbreaking.

As someone who keeps mice, this is a wonderful portrayal of their little mannerisms and movements. The style of the characters are so cute and I love the story! Great work!!
I've kept about 13 mice in my life and I didn't really see how the mouse's movements were similar to a real ones. If anything, the robin's was way more accurate and interesting.
Actually this reminds me more of a work from Miyazaki than Disney. It has a calm mood and is very touching. It has a soft look and smooth but still rough animation, like you are used to know from hand drawn animation. The soundwork is amazingly well done and the background music fits in just right. There is nothing to complain about. Very well done!
This is legitimately so good and pure!!! I love the style that you went for with watercolor-like backgrounds. The friendship that the two developed is adorable and well portrayed.

Yea that is rlly neat
Thanks for the info. I didn't know. Cool!
I loved that part, too! Sounded just like the robin I accidentally spooked yesterday!

Feels warm
Took the words right out of my mouth.
How is it not original?!?!
@@Jroobelucios They mean that it's a story that's been done quite a lot and doesn't deviate from that kind of story in any noticeable way. that was so freaking ADORABLE! I loved the mouse's scarf! I love animals wearing scarves! The animation was super fluid!
This is a really well made, cute film. Funny thing though: Despite most of the people in the comments mentioning Disney I got more of a Ghibli-vibe from some of the animations. Would be interesting to know if and where the animators took inspirations from.
I think it's the music, right when they fly it reminds me of My Neighbor Totoro
Oh my Gaho True, but it‘s also the way they animated the rain drops and some of the mouse‘s expressions remind me of Jiji from Kiki‘s Delivery Service.
YES!! the first time i watched it i thought thats this could be a ghibli movie,,, its simple yet heartwarming, just like ghibli movies
Reminds me of despereaux

I like the very mild anime undertones. The way the birds mouth gets all squiggly, many of the gestures and moments, the whole aesthetics of the characters.
