A favorite of mine is the "Not Empty" plugin. It flat out removes the "empty" options from potions so you never accidentally empty one when managing your potions.
Citizens is a really fun one. Just adds npcs throughout the world doing immersive little things: Sitting on a bench that usually empty, sweeping falador, training firemaking at the GE
The time Tracking plugin is just so good, not only does it track the time of your bird nests and farming stuff, it even reminds you where they are and the status of them.
I've just recently started the game and Runelite and the wiki are awesome. I've been wanting some of the functionality mentioned here and didn't know they existed. Thanks! - Menu Entry Swapper - Spam Filter - Loot Table - Tile Indicators - Roof Removal There's some others I already had but these are a great find! Can't believe RuneLite is only 5 years old. The qol from it is immense. Awesome list dude! From the comments, some I'll try as well are - Instant Inventory - Citizens Other great ones not mentioned: - Shortest Path - Inventory Setups
Try "117HD" - THE best graphical mod! Just don't forget to disable other graphical mods or there could be problems ;-) Or "Quest Helper". Be careful! It makes any quest easy by showing you where and what to do. Very helpful with some annoying quests tho.
I really like the "Normal Ancient Teleports" plugin. Very useful for me because I cba to remember names like "Kharyll" or "Ghorrock." Much easier when the teleports say "Canifis" or whatever other teleports the ancient spellbook has on it
Inventory Setups is definitely a plugin that deserves a mention, especially for players like me that don't like taking the time to constantly reorganize my bank. It lets you save loadouts of both warn equipment and items in your inventory, and then when you open your bank it will have everything that loadout all in one place. You can save the loadouts either by just simply saving what you currently have on you, or by manually going in and changing each slot. I have a ton of different loadouts for different things like specific slayer tasks, different raids, and my different farming runs. Its really worth checking out.
i thought i knew every plugin but still found some useful ones with this vid. i think my favorite one that you didnt mention is 'shortest path'. it shows you the quickest path to whatever area you set, including teleports etc. useful for zeah or other areas you dont go much. that or the c engineer plugin
Someone recently introduced me to the "Runecrafting Utilities" plugin... Absolutely HUGE for training runecrafting! One click drink single dose stams from bank, empty and fill pouches based on where you are (altar or otherwise)... makes things so much more relaxed!
0:25 - Please remember that part of the protection of the bank pin being something you must click on is that if you were to have a keylogger on your machine it wouldn't be observable since the pin entry screen is random layout. Granted if an attacker is already on your machine keylogger is probably the least of your worries.
Side note. If you’re an Ironman and have collapse ground items on, if there’s a drop that’s not yours stacked over the drop you have (E.g bones X2, with yours not on top) you can’t left click to pickup until there’s despawns.
That’s why I use the option under the ‘Ground Items’ plugin called ‘Only Show Loot’. Lets you only see items from NPCs or players you’ve gotten. Obviously an iron won’t see items from players in PVP but it gets rid of all ground items from other people.
World hopper plugin also allows you to use hotkeys (I recommend changing it to shift+left/right arrow, or even to single key when non-stop world hopping) to hop backwards and forward without needing to open up the worlds menu
the Item Charges plugin changed my life. Seeing the charges on things from within your inventory or even your bank is huge. as a trident user and a proud slayer dart master, I like to know how much charges my stuff has before I go out.
Bank tags & Bank Tag Layouts are absolutely essential plugins. Make a tab for any piece of content e.g. minigame, boss, skill then you can put your relevant gear and any items in it and incredibly easily regear or resupply for the piece of content you're doing without having to remember/look up e.g. each individual boss that needs antipoison, or ranged def gear when you're meleeing, how many stam pots you need etc. You can have as many tags on each item as you want and you can even duplicate items in layouts so you can have exact quantities without having to remember a thing.
Fixed Mode Hide Chat - I love the benefits of fixed mode, but sometimes the chat is just too big and in the way. After discovering the plugin, i can't live without
Wow I’ve seen a lot of “best plugin” videos and they are all good plugins but they never talk about the quality of life plugins. This video was fantastic so many good plugins I didn’t even know existed and have been needing
I've always been a fan of the more modern UI, where the whole screen is open with UI overlaid, rather than the fixed mode. I can see the pull of the fixed mode, never accidentally clicking a UI element instead of the play area, but getting 20-40% more real estate on screen is just too good for me to pass up.
The reason people prefer fixed mode is because you don't have to move your mouse as far across the screen for pvm and stuff. I do agree with you that the modern ui increase in play area is king, but it's not the "best"
Anti Drag has likely saved my more times than I can count, letting you customize for how long you have to hold an item for it to drag. So when you frantically dash down to dose a brew, you dont just drag it in place and plank. Or when you're spam fletching, making you actually fletch instead of just swapping the feathers and bolts around for 10 minutes
It's not really an 'essential' plugin that I can't live without. But Fashion Scape is a plugin that lets you look like you're wearing your fanciest fashion, while you're actually wearing real gear. Kinda like a transmog/glamor system from other MMOs. I also really love the Banked xp plugin and Wasted Bank Space plugin. and last honorable mention, 'Bot Detector' because sometimes your own eyes aren't keen enough, and it can feel a bit gratifying if you suspect someone of being a bot, and have the plugin tell you that you might be onto something.
As an og rs player that hasn't played since EOC, it's interesting to see how the clients and plugins are evolving in ways we could never have imagined back in the early 2000/2010's, for a game that was always "browser based" and accessible to everyone without cd drive or gaming pc
These are nutty it brings alot of the convenience to rs2 from rs3 but without any of the having to learn things or the increased difficulty or more better design of rs3.
This was an awesome video I just got back into RS few months back because of Gilenor games and Settleds content and always wondered how people were doing some of these things
Tears of Guthix crowdsourcing makes Tears of Guthix even better. You can get the ideal formation where all the blues are grouped after the greens so you have better chance of blues appearing after yours runs out and no chance of a green
I installed a ton of these plugins as they were all super useful sounding and I went to hop worlds clicked where the world switcher was before and logged out by accident. I love large logout.
It takes quite a bit more of your pc's resources, but if yours can handle it definitely get 117 HD. It's similar to the GPU and skybox plugins but adds fancy textures and lighting to make the game look pretty. But the models are unchanged so it's still old school! There's also 3D Weather if you want some extra ambience.
I initially created the TOG and Daily Indicators plugins and it was nice to see them listed. Although I don't play much these days it's nice to see I was able to help add some QoL to people's experience in the game. RuneLite has to be the best thing to have happened to RuneScape apart from bringing back free trade and release OSRS
When you learn to use the menu entry swapper functions, for world objects, npcs, inventory, some spells. The game just becomes so much easier. You can also use the bank tabs, inventory tags and bank bank layout generator plugins to quickly set and load any setup for any occassion. I have a tab for vorkath, a tab for sepulchre, you name it. Each has my worn equipment and inventory set up ready to withdraw, equip and go.
one really underrated one is custom menu swaps. theres a few things i like to use it for. first is to prioritize certain npcs over others, for example if youre doing commander zilyana you can make it so you will always left click her, even if starlight is right on top of her. under custom swaps you would type this attack, commander zilyana *,attack, starlight* the other thing i use it for is to remove certain menu options. As an avid clue scroll enjoyer its very annoying misclicking on things like trees when trying to click on the tile i need to dig at. under custom hides you would type things like this Chop down,Tree Chop down,Oak tree Pick,Flax Pick,Onion Swim,River
If this is the same one i use you can just shift right click the items like an npc you want to click through and select right click options and walk here
I would recommend for anyone who is interested in plugins to take 1 day off and look at every single plugin there is. Tbh it won't take a whole day to look at all of them but I can ensure you that you will find the perfect plugins for you. (I use over 100 plugins because of this xD)
My favorite is Loot Console Log. Nice to know what your last drops were when afk training. Gives you peace of mind that you did/didnt let a good drop time out.
for the stretched mode thing I just use resizable classic layout, yes tehre's more mouse dragging, but I feel like I see much more of the game. The classic fixed layout even in stretched mode makes the game too small for me, and makes it way more pixelated which hurts my eyes
No clue why this is a plugin Soup "would die for". The benefit of fixed mode is less distance for your cursor to travel. By making it fullscreen that benefit is gone, and you have absolutely no reason to not use the resizeable fullscreen mode, which doesn't have the map/inv/chat taking up 50% of your screen. Perfect example of "old habits die hard".
@@n0steeze I used to agree and play solely on resizeable fullscreen, but after recently swapping back and forth I found that fullscreen stretched fixed mode has a definite benefit. The icons in your interface scale to become larger, making clicking much easier throughout the UI. Sure the cursor has to travel farther but on a larger monitor it's less distance than on resizable. On fixed I found it easier to swap prayers or do gear swaps since the icons are huge, and just requires you to move your mouse to the right of the game screen, rather than to the bottom right corner towards a smaller interface.
Just changed fixed mode. The only thing was that my inventory and my chat box was distorted. I changed the UI scaling to bicubic (catmull-rom) and it made it perfect. Thanks for the tip.
Everyone talking about plugins, but what I found essential are multiple "profiles". Also not having everything turned on helps with performance, so I have skilling profile and combat profile.
A ton of these are useful but another one that I've used for a long time now. It's call "Don't eat it" and it sets all items to use only so you don't accidently eat, drink, or wear anything that you don't mean to. It can be very useful for quests that require you to turn in a food item to an npc and you are worried about misclicking it or something if you don't trust yourself enough.
Another extremely useful feature of the world hopper plugin is you can press "ctrl+shift+left or right" to instantly hop to the previous or next world. It's super useful when looking for an open world.
Becareful of the Idle Notifier plugin! It also adds a notification if you're at low hp, like 30hp, which sounds nice, but the notification makes it impossible to click the 1-click emergency teleport! It could cost a HCIM life, I've been close to dying several times because of this.
this is such a niche video that probably won't perform too well but it's also just like... so good. I've used runelite for well over ten thousand hours and still learned stuff here
TTS is underrated for questing and following along with the story. rare and niech plugin because everyone smashes space bar but its a gem for sure and also very hilarious if u mess with the tts voices and make them all different
Stretched mode really unlocked the game for me. I was so bad at prayer/gear switches because I just couldn't click accurately enough. With stretched mode it all just clicked.
sounds dumb, but i didnt realise the daily task was a runelite plugin, thankyou , ive been deliberity ignoring my zaffs battlestaves for months if not years
A favorite of mine is the "Not Empty" plugin. It flat out removes the "empty" options from potions so you never accidentally empty one when managing your potions.
