Lovely stretch of water. Used to keep a small yacht at Seatons. First job onleaving school in ‘72 was working on the construction of the Mountsandel bridge.
Great to see you back on the water buddy, and it looked like you had a great time especially under the bridge. Showing that young girl who had a swim was actually great to see especially for new paddlers because most video were someone has to get back in to the kayak are made by people how have done it hundreds of times and make it look easy. When in fact as you know, it can be difficult the first few times until you get the skill and technique right, good for newer paddlers to see.
Irish branch of the River Rats :) It's a lovely river but, we couldn't use it last year because of blue/green algae. She was brave enough to get back in the water and learn the technique for re-entry.

Really nice to see some relaxed river paddling (albeit with a wee rescue or two!). I see you also seem to enjoy a little bit of paddling through reeds when opportunity arises - and that "indoors" paddling section was particularly nice (paddling under a roof). We have a few spots where this is possible in Stockholm as well, but many paddlers actually don't know about them.
