    Keep on keeping on, collegue!
    I got told off by my previous employer that i "was in the garage an awful lot" .... told 'm i like to keep my office in perfect working order, even though sometimes its a collegue's office... if something is broken, i go to the workshop, they fix it, i go back to work with a "perfect" truck.... never heard a word since... and yeah, the mechanics love ya for it.

    I’m so glad you made another video. I just wanted to take my time to say your videos inspire me to make movies and really put the action to it. And Garbage Trucks is one of those things that help me put passion into making movies. Thank you for your time and stay safe out there.

    Good to see you're still working man. I've been on furlough for about a month now. New guy at a new company with the smallest route, first to let go. I keep holding on cause I have that new Autocar ACX w/ Heil Half Pack waiting.
    Def appreciate the motivation, especially sharing the success of those that give you inspiration. We all really need that right now.
    You talking about the guy you dumped in your hopper made me think of my old supervisor's experience. Dude wearing a black hoodie and pink shorts, waving like his life depended on it from the top of the hopper. Saw him from the spot mirror. I agree the hopper cams should be mandatory after having one. BUT- thankfully, he wasn't hurt; all he cared about was his wallet that he claimed had $2k in it and offered my supervisor a piece if he helped him find it. They never did.
    Stay safe out there brother. Thanks for doing what you do, as always. I've got my new GoPro ready for when I go back to work. You've always given me great motivation for the love you have for the job. I feel the same.

      Hey brother! Always a pleasure to hear from you. I'm praying that you will return to work soon. Can't wait to see your ACX 😁
      Yessir, those cameras help out tremendously especially in this case. That's an interesting story about your old supervisor too.
      Yep, with all of the uncertainty and negative things going on right now, we all need a positive outlet. I hope you stay safe and blessed brother. I'll be on the lookout for your videos when you make it back.

    Hey man I was wondering if I could ask you some questions. I drive a side load right now and I'm considering throwing my name on the next front loader route to open. I've been watching your videos trying to get the idea of how a front load route is

    • @CoolHandMacc
      @CoolHandMacc  4 роки тому

      Sure thing brother, ask away.

    • @brianwillie9848
      @brianwillie9848 4 роки тому +1

      Cool thanks for replying! I'd ask our front load guys but I never see em they're gone when I get in and gone when I get back. All I've heard is people complaining about it but your videos make it look worth it. Do you have to get out a bunch and wrestle with getting the truck in super small spots? Do you drive a decent amount and how many hours do you work? Right now I'm doing about 10 hours 700-800 stops and not much driving

    • @CoolHandMacc
      @CoolHandMacc  4 роки тому

      @@brianwillie9848 well, it's not for everyone that's for sure. I work for a large municipality so all of our stops are pretty much driveway to driveway. Usually average about 120 or so stops on my heavier days, Monday, Wednesday & Friday, with about 130 -150 lifts. There are some tight spots and a few that I have to back out onto main roads. I would say if possible, ride along with an fel driver so you see firsthand what we go through. For me, it is definitely worth it, I've had a passion for these trucks since I was a little boy.😎

    • @brianwillie9848

      Sweet thanks for responding! I think im gonna try for it next time a route opens up. Worst case scenario I'd know for sure. I love your videos that's actually how I got into driving a garbage truck was ride along videos then I saw yours for front load and thought it'd be a better fit for me. Hope you got another one coming out soon!

    Did you start off driving a tractor trailer before being a refuse collector? Was looking to get into the same industry as you but for ASL.

    • @CoolHandMacc
      @CoolHandMacc  4 роки тому

      Hey, yep, I drove for Werner and US XpressMusic before finding a home in the refuse biz. ASL operation isn't much different from front end. I think you'll like it once you find the right company for you.

    What's the best way to learn to use the joystick ?

    • @CoolHandMacc
      @CoolHandMacc  3 роки тому

      Look at this way, the joystick is an extension of your hand. The more pressure you apply to it, the faster it will move. Also, you have to learn the personality of each truck you may drive. They are like people, no two will operate exactly the same.

      ThaThunderStorm thanks for the response, sorta had a hard time hearing in the video, love your content btw! With your truck fully loaded, when you dump do you know how much was in the truck if that makes sense? Like 4-5 tons? I don’t have any idea myself but am curious.

    ThaThunderstorm I have to rewrite or copy and paste every story I have written on my own blog, now onto my NEW blog because sorry assed, repressive and oppressive social media is trying to get rid of my content! So.....this is why I need you to assist me in creating a video that features you pulling up to a daycare, as seen from the hopper view, then cut to the in-cab view for the time when you hit the packer button and tirn to watch the packer start before cutting to the hopper view of the packer starting. Man! I wish....we could diaper a Mannequin and put it into the daycare dumpster then film it as it gets packed.
