Yo on some real . I use to watch you r vids under another name . I think it was blackj16 . U literally trained me on how to use the trucks . I think it was 07 or 08 . This was waaay b4 I got into a trash truck and I drove tractor trailers . The only reason why I wanted to drive a truck is because of a front loader . Then I looked on UA-cam and saw your vids brotha . Thx for putting up vids . U gave me a lot of insight on the career I wanted to have using my cdl 💯
Man that’s a nice truck! I start with advanced disposal in a couple weeks here..I may eventually try and work my way into front load as that’s what I prefer..but damn getting up before 4am will be an adjustment lol
The newway beds are working out good so far with only minor issues . We are a little less than 3 years into the front load system and we are about 6 years into the side arm can trucks ..lol the ole rearload trucks was a good thing back in the day. I have a lot of good memories riding the rear step. Bless you and stay safe.
I like the cab layout of the controls, the sound of the Cummins Westport ISX12 G cng engine backed by an Allison RDS 4500 (5 or 6 speed auto with transmission retarder?), the lethal sound of the transmission PTO, the fact that you got some hopper footage & that it’s over an hour long!!!!!
realtv01 lol, you and me both. I had to break off from the route and go to the dump to find it. Thankfully I found it, unharmed. GoPro makes a tough little camera.
There goes the camera again lol but hey man things happens all time it's not like how one of my managers at Wal-Mart who accidentally threw a lock in the compactor I've been told that by my buddy/coworker Tre.
Alexander Coppage lol yep. At first, I was going to delete that clip, but thought I'd show what I go through sometimes in order to get hopper footage. Lol hope the manager didn't get in any trouble for that.
Glad you got assigned this truck! Sounds awesome for a CNG! Lol when your Go Pro fell in the hopper! Glad you got it outa there though. :) Aren't you going to do that 1 hour startup/driving video I requested on this truck a while back? Or have you forgotten about it?
I'm the guy who jams 70 yards into a 10 yard can then stands back and laughs at you while you bang away for an hour and then squeeze it for another hour!!!!!!
How do you like the truck? Just got a 2018 Pete 520 with a Labrie. Like the truck, but not so sure on the bed yet. Just curious, what was the dish soap in the passenger cup holder about?
Autocar front end suspension sucks. But I do like the visibility and leg room. I'm glad to see they redesign the cab layout but there's still some questionable control buttons placements lol.
Man you aren't kidding. I drive a '15 Autocar Xpeditor automated and that truck will rattle your brain going over almost everything. Love the short turn wheel base on it tho, I can turn that truck on a dime.
Joe Leonard that autocar front end leave a lot to be desire along with their steering gearbox. yeah that's why I pick the Pete over the Autocar. And CCC over all of them, mainly for the low entry.
Antione Stokes yeah my steering gearbox has started leaking recently. The visibility is great in it but have you ever driven a Condor ? The windows and dash are about at knee level when you sit, the visibility is crazy. I'm finally moving to front load full time. Been driving a Pete with a Herc packer on Saturday routes the last two months. I really love the truck.
Antione Stokes my experience with Autocar is limited, but I have heard that same thing about them. Yep, some of the buttons are still in weird spots, but I do like it better than the newer 320s. I loved how well Autocars turn, and Crane Carrier is just awesome in my book for low entry.
Dang Dejuan! Seems like a nice truck. Hows it doing for ya? Interior looks real nice. Also has a decent sound to it. Great job! Man I remember the 2nd being so damn rainy. Waiting for the bus to come through my neighborhood, I got pretty wet.
Every route and day is different. The route I have isn't that big, my lightest day is Thursday, around 60 lifts, which I can squeeze into one load. The biggest day of course is Monday, around 130 lifts, most of which are apartments near the end, which takes two and a half loads. 523 packs pretty decent, which helps a lot.
Andre williamson as far as bodies, the Heil Odyssey Commercial version. McNeilus is cool in my opinion too. I have operated New Way Mammoths, EZ Pack Hercules and a Wayne Titan in the past. But out of those Heil & McNeilus are my favs. Chassis wise, I love the CCC LET2, Mack MR, and now, the Peterbilt 520. I had bad experiences with the Mack MRU, so I'm not a big fan of them.
When I worked at the county, our stops were pretty much driveway to driveway, very dense routes. If I am riding for lengthy periods of time, or in an area where there are low wires or trees, I keep them tucked.
CRAZY DRIVER. YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO GO OVER 5 MILES PER HOUR WHEN YOU HOLDING A DUMPSTER IN THE TRUCK. THIS GUY MAKES AT LEAST 20 MILES PER HOUR IN A PARKING LOT!! THAT SUICIDE.
The yard I used to work at before I transferred got a few new petterbelts just like this and i loved them
Thanks for the guide, I applied for the front loader position, and watching u do the maneuvering and your hand control really help me out , yes 💯💯

Whew.. I stop breathing when that camera fell into the hopper I thought it was gone for sure.

@@gamwam unfortunately no

Been few months, how you liking it? Boss wants to update one front loader, I've been pushing Labrie but this mcneilus seems fast
It's a decent body for sure. I've always heard though that Labrie makes one of the best.
Wow look at father
How do you like the truck? Just got a 2018 Pete 520 with a Labrie. Like the truck, but not so sure on the bed yet. Just curious, what was the dish soap in the passenger cup holder about?
It keep you window from not fogging up
Andre williamson thanks! Never heard that before.
Dawn dish soap cut grease in case you have hydraulic leak for clean mirrors and windows
Torrey so far I really like it, and yep, Andre and Brian hit it on the head about the Dawn.
Adding this to my fav. Do it still have that new truck smell?
Trainsandtrucks that's what's up 😎 and yes, yes she does lol
Trains are you doing today sexy lady how are you doing today sexy lady how
Trainsandtrucks LoL
As a kid who like garbage trucks and wants to be one, how do you know where your normal route is without going to some place else?
You are smashing the camera
Kym Ann lol it survived.
Autocar front end suspension sucks. But I do like the visibility and leg room. I'm glad to see they redesign the cab layout but there's still some questionable control buttons placements lol.

Joe Leonard every Condor driver I met loved them, when they were running.
Does this truck auto-throttle up when you're dumping cans?
legodude24652 no, only when packing or operating the tailgate.
Dang Dejuan! Seems like a nice truck. Hows it doing for ya? Interior looks real nice. Also has a decent sound to it. Great job! Man I remember the 2nd being so damn rainy. Waiting for the bus to come through my neighborhood, I got pretty wet.
willthetrashman she is so far, I can't complain. Thanks Will, stay dry out there, looks like rain is in the forecast again this week.

How many windshield have u had break or crack on u?
How many stops you guys do each day

What company you work for
In this particular video I was working for a municipal operation, DeKalb County Public Works/ Commercial Sanitation Division.
What's you favorite
Andre williamson as far as bodies, the Heil Odyssey Commercial version. McNeilus is cool in my opinion too. I have operated New Way Mammoths, EZ Pack Hercules and a Wayne Titan in the past. Why do you keep your forks out like that
When I worked at the county, our stops were pretty much driveway to driveway, very dense routes. If I am riding for lengthy periods of time, or in an area where there are low wires or trees, I keep them tucked.
How much weight can you pack on?
Andre williamson so far, 18.32 tons wet, and averaging about 14-15 dry.
Do you guys run curotto cans
No, they demonstrated a couple during the automated pilot program, but decided against them in favor of the m/asl trucks.
1:13 why’d u leave the dumpster over there?
I had to have space to turn around so the empty compactors go to the left. Plus, it made it easy for the staff to take them back inside the building.
