Such an informative video! Who doesn't love popsicles or ice cream 😊? I didn't get lost or bored at all, you created a sew-a-long that went straight to the point of things! Going through my stash to find more remnants to use. TFS!
I love watching the process. I would love to recreate some shorts I have, but was always hesitant. THIS shows me how easy it is. Never thought about laying the paper on top to trace parts of it. Thank You!
Lovely video as always. I love using fold over elastic for leg seams and wider lace elastic for waistband. I usually do a gusset with a burittoiton method, so it's closed on both sides. Need to try leaving it open at back Thanks for great tutorial
Thanks for this video. I've been thinking about making my own underwear right after I finish this little project that I'm doing. I'm making one of those Japanese cross back aprons today. I bought some underwear that are just terrible. What's popular here is they just fold over the top with no elastic which are fine when you first put them on but after wearing them a few hours they begin to stretch out and get loose and I'm afraid they are going to fall off when I'm at the store for example. So making my own is a better choice for me.
You should make your own underwear you won't regret it. I did about 2 years ago and I prefer the ones I made more than store bought. I have all control over the fabric and the fit. I have health problems which makes wearing anything above my navel very uncomfortable. So I make low rise full coverage underwear out of 100% cotton jersey as I prefer it over cotton blends or viscose jersey. I find viscose jersey isn't absorbent and I live in a hot climate and work as a chef.
@@manhurter Thanks, I have everything I need to make myself several pairs. I also prefer cotton knit because I live in a very cold climate, those little viscose or satin thing the wind and cold goes right through and makes you even more cold.
Yep :) it of course depends on how the undies are cut/constructed, but you can always examine your current undergarments and see how those were made :)
I would like to sew some underpants for my son. Since men's briefs are constructed differently I am a bit lost how to copy the pattern etc. Could you explain the boy's version too, please?
My daughter is very picky of her underwear just like me, she has her favorite that she likes that's comfortable and does cut into her legs and this is a good idea to making some for her, thanks 👍

Thanks Alisa. A great video. The video to make the pattern bigger is not showing. Anything wrong in my browser🤔
I have the same comments. Great video, but I too don't see the video link . 🤷♀️

Nice video. You showed how to sew one side of the gusset but what about the other side? Did you sew it or leave it unsewn?
