Hey Dave! Watch this video and let me know if you have any more questions about the spacing. ua-cam.com/video/3jMnYjE-dd8/v-deo.htmlsi=4MvXRK5WpRK_7Wz8
Yes, you can use NCP as an over wrap, but I would pay close attention to what it will look like when you apply the finish, especially if it is a light colored thread. If you get a little sloppy with the overwrap it will be visible. That’s why I tend to lean towards regular nylon thread for my over wraps, but I have done it which NCP as well.
I like the nylon over wrap also. As you say it is more forgiving with the finish. My 70 + eyes sometimes can't see that well when I'm wrapping even with the magnifying glasses. I like the added gold thread, makes it pop a little more.
Hey John didn't get to join you live earlier. Thanks for rehashing this technique. Been doing a lot of fade wraps lately that don't require an overwrap. But the one I'm getting ready to start will require it so it was good to see this. I think with a tie off wrap it is good to be careful but confident.
Try using a sharp razon blade and nippers.
Yes Dale, it’s a fault of mine. I use razors longer than I should for some reason. Thank you for watching and commenting.
How much purchase area would you recommend? Are you able to do less?
You can do a short amount as well.
love your video im from PUERTO RICO
Thank you Dary and I’m glad you like them. Happy New Years.
How far apart were those marks you started with?

Happy holidays!
@@mastrsk8 - Happy Holidays to you as well.
Nice video John. Will NCP work for an over wrap or do you have to use plain nylon?
