THE FINAL TRACTOR? | VALTRA CAB TOUR | CLEARING BLOCKED ROADS |

- Today im clearing damage from the wind, reviewing the demo Valtra and assessing the ammonia treated straw
My name is Crawford and I’m a farmer.
Being a farmer is more than a job; it’s a way of life. The good days can involve bringing new life onto the farm or sunny days outdoors whilst on others it's dealing with machinery breakdowns and on the worst days, sometimes animal deaths.
Farming can be isolating at times - away from the busy streets and city life - so this platform brings you closer to the inner workings showing the highs and lows and everything in between.
I hope to bring some context to how the food ends up on your plate, from your Sunday roasts to morning porridge and even the tulips on your kitchen table. Hopefully a bit of agricultural education along the way.
This video captures the latest goings on including crop management and our efforts to increase sustainability and reducing our carbon footprint.

The joys of winter farming lol
Great video 👍
Cheers Gary
Another good video 👍
Cheers 👌🏽
Great video ,👍🚜
Cheers Kevin
Great Vlog as always. The new Massey 8s is an awesome piece of kit, unreal visibility and comfort. As for the Claas, the Axion 800 would probably be similar size to the New Holland's you have. It really like seeing the animals, the cows are lookin well. Thanks and Stay safe
Cheers John 👌🏽
You'd get use to the gearbox in time. Took me a while to get use to it now i'd never have another vario. By far the best half and half gearbox on the market.
👀
Chain saw oil is to lubricate the chain and has an antifling additive in it so it sticks to the chain, it is pumped onto the chain as it runs. Two stroke oil is different and is mixed with the petrol.
The quality of support from the dealership is an important factor when buying a new tractor.
Yep
Happy retirement Doug 👍
Dunc 👌🏽
@@CrawfordsFarm1 lol sorry my bad
We have a Valtra and it is a lovely tractor drive but it has had numerous transmission problems and it even ended up back in Finland for a few months. It’s now on its 3rd transmission but our 4cyclinder t6.160 auto command still out pulls it up the hills.
What model is it?
@@CrawfordsFarm1 t234 it was an ex demo after our t214 burnt down. It’s got the direct transmission in it, same as the 214 but that one went a lot better.
You need to get a demo in the Fendt if it is priced comparably with the JD. If you don't you will always wonder what if!
👀👀
I used to be the hen feed man a few years ago when you were just a youngster 😁
👌🏽 im bad with names so everyone is ‘the job’ man
Did you do it here?
Yeah I did the mixing at Gloagburn every 3 weeks but that's going back a few years used to be a green mixer with a cream cab 👍
👌🏽 miss getting reversed into that shed??
Lol like a Sunday hangover 😄😄
Great video Crawford I heard John Deere are actually more expensive than fendt don’t know about the massey a big potato man beside changed from all New Holland to Massey some of them ok but the s models have his heart broke with electric problems
😬 the worst type of problem
Great video once again Crawford. The bull and cows are looking in great condition. The Valtra looks a nice colour tbf however, cab looks a bit cramped like you said especially width wise. Also, that joystick looks far too bulky I bet you could get some cramp in your hand using that. It’s not curved to the shape of your hand like JDs. Have you thought about trying the Massey 7/8s? Also, you get some corker sun rises and sun sets. Keep up the great work buddy!
Cheers Kai
Massey coming soon
Ah I made last comment before end of video 🙌
Should be with us soon
Go Massey mate old jimmy
Get a T7.225 or higher with the heavy duty back end.The 210 feels restricted compared to the higher models
Got t7.210s don’t need the extra power at the moment
@@CrawfordsFarm1 not so much about the power than it's delivery and pretty sure they're std with 42" rims so better foot print in the ground to deliver the grip
Ah ok, Yeh speccing all options with 42 650s
I guess you don't have a Case IH dealer near you? Because you really are missing out on a game changer with the"new" Puma and Optum as for the Magnum series Wow just Wow!
Nah too far away
If you can afford a new Claas combine, you can afford a Fendt! 😀 In my experience they will be same price as John Deere. I've got Fendt, NH, JD of different sizes and they are all great tractors for the jobs they are aimed at.
What are they aimed at? Ours will need to be a multi tasker, drilling, ploughing, fert, carting etc
@@CrawfordsFarm1 our Fendts are aimed at arable type work and multi-tasking. Vario box is great for ploughing, drilling, baling, etc. The new Fendt One system is mind boggling and light years ahead of everyone else. It’s worth a demo at least if you have tried the rest! It will come down to price and preference at the end of the day. I don’t think there are any bad tractors these days.
Cheers
Wind , snow , sleet that must have been Saturday night or Friday
Quite possibly
tough doing handbrake turns with the electric brake hey
True
Hahaha sorry but that was gold when u fell over keep the good videos up
😡😅
I bet Kev is getting confused with these tractor controls all been different, am I right in thinking you liked the John Deere best Crawford ?.
Probably
You love clearing trees 😂 Come on the dealer get a Massey up to you .
👀
The cows and pigs looking great do you keep sheep too
Only a handful
I’m not a farmer but people I know who are seem to prefer the MF as a value for money tractor if you can find the correct model to meet your needs. I always think the two points to bear in mind are that will it do the work you’ve got in mind is it reliable and are the dealers friendly and helpful. But as I said I’m not a farmer I just like tractors and machinery in general!! 🚜
👌🏽
What about a up date on the time of the tractor challenge
👍🏼 coming soon
Hi, is there not a risk they choke on spuds? I seem to recall from years ago they are best chopped - probably wrong but just interested.
Cows are pretty safe at that size, wouldn’t feed to the calfs
Convince the boss to get a Fendt, even if it’s only on demo..
Dealer want to put one on the farm!
@@CrawfordsFarm1 great 👍
Fendt were coming in cheaper with exchange rate
👀 yeh
I’d try a fendt
👀
@@CrawfordsFarm1 It might look complicated but after you get the just of it I wouldn’t think you would look back
Regen farmers graze their whea
Wonder how the combine wud do on grain flat on the ground lol
What do you mean
@@CrawfordsFarm1 the robot combine if the barley r wat ever lodges a don’t no how the robots wud work who gets to clean the head if ther clay on it lol
Oh aye forgot about that, yeh cant imagine its too refined yet
Fendt all day long
👀
Spruce or Pine
👌🏽
Is the Valtras joystick made by Fisher Prices from their range for toddlers? Looks horrible plastic!!!!
🤣
VALTRA NEXT BEST THING TO FENDT WHERES THE MASSEY DEMO
MASSEY COMING SOON
I say new Holland class or valtra because the John Deere’s screen will give trouble and get slow after 3 4 years
You think 🤔
@@CrawfordsFarm1 well look at ollys farm his 6155rs screen is really blurry
@@ajb542 I’m just saying my opinion
Oh aye and the speaker will stop working. And it doesn't have car play, whatever that is!!!
@@grahamkerr7436 ye that’s why I wouldn’t go with it Crawford farms
