I don,'t know if it,s relevant but a big issue with J D in the USA was the access to the tractor computer system was restricted to JD only so any mods or repairs to the programme were not possible by anyone but JD .This could be a big problem if you don,'t want the big cost of JD dealers, maybe worth checking out befor you buy one. Nice to see your run along the road i still recognize the area after all these years .My father worked on East and Mains of Cultmalundie in the middel to late 1950,s but i still remember the area.Keep up the good and entertaining videos.Greetings from Amsterdam!
@@CrawfordsFarm1 My fathers name was FRED COLVILLE , We were a family of 8 children,I remember my brothers and I helping him clear up the grounds of the big house at the Mains for one of the bosses sons who was getting married.I think that would be 1956 or 7.I recognized the drive entrance when you drive past in the JD.
So...was the demo John Deere made in the USA??..I was watching a guy videoing a train with about 50 John Deere tractors a few New Hollands, heading for the port of Baltimore, USA, to be shipped overseas...Very impressive, all Deere in a row..😁...thanks, Crawford, for the good video...👍
The new holland lights will come on you pull the main mainbeem stick backwards when you switch it off and each time you pull it its a timer for the lights
John Deeres are more expensive but they will hold their value better. It was a nice tractor, you are going to have a difficult decision to make when the time comes.........good luck with that.
On the topic of the 155 our one is nice to drive but suspension rougher than the claas and fendt although still good, feels massive and isn't very good for manurerves in comparison to the claas and fendt and 6930 tbh and seems bigger than it needs to be for 155 hp. One thing is the vario in the deere we find the best of them all so simple and easy to use computer screen bit complicated though. Worst part of a john deere is definitely the price
Great video Crawford. You sen to really like the JD. Like you said price is expensive might be worth looking at ex hire or demo! Have you looked at a Case Puma
I think I would be buying an x hire tractor and put the rest of the money towards some more stock, it’s mind boggling the price of new tractors, and remember the days it’s delivered it’s second hand, must admit the John Dear dose look nice, I had a brand new 6900 back in the day, lovely tractor but not as nice as the magnum 7210 it was swapped for.
Wicked money! Probably ex hire JD with command pro etc or JCB fastrac would be my choice. Its much more than a road tractor I tried one back in the summer and was seriously impressed but I can't warrant it.
@@CrawfordsFarm1 didn't get that far or I'd never be rid of the salesmen 🤣 Be a bit more than the 155 I'd think but wouldn't hurt to try one. Cab is amazing! So big and comfortable.
the deere top of the list still ? Apart from the colour I think the valtra is the smartest looks a right mean thing with the black rims too ! Seen a new massey 8s passing through the village a while back towing the header for a big black massey ideal combine. Some rig the 8s was mint ! Where is your ploughing match? Rakes of old yokes with ploughs on passing through gateside the other day 😂 another good video mate. 🤘
Loving the vitra …. Send me the crawford farms logo
Them Valtras are beauties 👌🏻

The Deere looks a very smart fit into your place! I reckon there could be a green machine in the yard soon!
👀👀
Your lucky you get a demo. I've been waiting for few yrs on a demo with the vario gearbox!!! Currently run 5 deeres!!
You’re lucky you’ve got 5 deeres!
2 modern ones....3 classic older ones though!!😂
What modern ones? Happy with them?
6130r, 6430p yip been good tractors. Been green long time. Older ones 3650, 2 x 2650
John Deere’s seem to hold there value really well so you spend more to get into a John Deere but once you have one it isn’t much to change 👍
True

Good to know
Does he think the 195 matches up better?
Try a fastrac for the fun of thing
What if i love it

Not sure about the Valtra’s liked the old School ones but think the new ones looked too pimped. Class topping the list so far?
Jd top but imagine the price is too
I’d like to see the dogs bollocks edition John Deere, be a fair thing
