Lucky driving the combine my dad still won't let me drive the combine.... Also look up Stewie from family guy saying wheat thins that's what you sound like lol. Have a good one
Great days harvest, nice to see you enjoying the combined, I always thought the days passed quickly when on the combined, no rushing round with trailers and trying to find time to push the heap up just steady away up and down, great times.
Great video stay humble, its refreshing. Be interesting to have a dig to look at soil structure and even compare soil tests of the spots where you chop straw against where you carted the straw off
Great video Crawford I drove combines for years but gave up farming the last combine I drove was a lexion 480 a absolute beast of a combine in its day the defender is a brilliant machine
Do you have your own butcher shop and ie you do can we see it Crawford? It would be great to see your other workers if they would agree. How many acres are all your farms and how many are crop fields? Thanks Crawford. Still my favorite youtube channel Crawford!!
There should be a way to correct the moisture to the drier. Ask your Claas person. Also yep 100% all fine until it goes wrong. There are some apps available for optimising combines. I’ll send some on Instagram
Have you had a complete drivetrain upgrade on your defender if not a handbrake turn is not possible as it an old transmission drum brake you can power slide it round on snow and ice but drive shafts and props don’t like it.
Former farm (sheep and arable) worker here. How can a beast be too big? Surely the heavier it is the more its worth? Unless you mean its age as after a certain age they can't enter the human food chain. I can't remember if that was due to BSE or Foot & Mouth.
@@philipgraham6980 Any steak can never be too big but I guess if they're selling to the people who supply ASDA then consideration needs to be given on what their customer base can afford. Now if they were to sell to the people who supply M&S or Waitrose then it could pay to have bigger beats.

The reel will typically go 15% faster than the forward speed of the combine. Helps to flick the barley into the table.
your explanation of what your harvestor does was great, well done
Cracking video bud 👌👌🏴
Cheers
Hi Crawford, I would not recomend pulling the hand brake on a moving land rover as you will smash the gearbox, propshafts, diffs.
Close bottom sieve by 2 mm should solve awn problem as double thrashes it through returns auger
Well done

I wouldnt pull the handbrake on a land rover. They dont pull the breaks on they have a transmission break. Great vid tho keep up the good work

No marks on the combine after you’ve had a shot. In my book that’s classed as successful training day 😀
Not that you can see :)

Gets fattier, also steaks get too big and become to expensive for customers. Want a nice compact steak with not mega fat on the beast
