Do I get my special Phase V printing on my helmet?
Wait how was this pinned 1 day ago? THIS RELEASED 1 HOUR AGO LIKE WHAT THE! Was there a time skip?
Hey, hey, I thought Phase II armor was weaker than Phase I armor, which is why Captain Rex welded his Phase I armor and his Phase II armor together.
The Phase 3 could've been kept around for the Clones under the Empire, whereas the regular Stormtrooper look we all know of could've been for the enlisted conscripts only.
If they kept their existing clone troopers
@@Voltar_99they did
@@a_random_person_lol_bruh not
As seen in the Bad Batch, most of them are forced retirement and were sent of wandering around the galaxy.
@@LOUIZZZ2003 thank you
Actually the closest thing to the Phase III helmet in canon is Hunters helmet.
It’s also basically a phase two clone commando helmet
Hunter’s helmet is a modified clone commando helmet…
So not a Phase 3.
Isn’t Hunter’s helmet more like a death trooper helmet?
Hunters helmet does look half between clone and stormtrooper and I love it for that
Phase II armour was just more anatomical and lighter than Phase I, not stronger. It was easier to wear. That is why Rex chose to weld the old Phase I plates into the new Phase II armour he wore from a certain point in time onwards. He also continued to use a rangefinder on a stalk on his Phase II helmet. Most likely because that old targeting system was in some was better than the new one.
Not necessarily, it's been said in multiple Star Wars encyclopedias and the old Visual Dictionaries that the Phase 2 was not only more comfortable but also more protective against ballistic/shrapnel and a little more blast/heat resistence. As for Rex merging his helmet, that was the stupidest thing. It's also been said several times (at least in the EU) that the visor on Phase 1 was so difficult to see out of - it would cut their view in half right at the lower part of the sclera. That's why it was a lot easier to see through Phase 2. Rex was kinda dumb for doing that but I guess he wanted to "honor his Mando heritage". Aside from the elegant look (personally I do prefer Phase 1 over Phase 2), Phase 2 it is a complete step up in every way.
@@cycy287you just said star wars encyclopedias… bro nobody trusts those, they literally lie and don’t get half the stuff right. Dictionaries are okay, but never trust anything else.
Also in the movies don’t they say that the phase II was weaker? Plus, clones with PII get one shot, while phase I get like 3 shot.
@@gavindelgado3560 There's barely any screen time of clones in episode 2 so I'm not sure what you are talking about them getting shot three times and surviving. If you want to go down that route, you can argue the Super Battle Droids blasters got more powerful.
@SandraOrtmann1976
"In addition to providing its wearer with better vision, the armor plates were lighter and stronger than that of Phase I"
From the actual encyclopedias that George Lucas (or at least LucasArts) released. Phase 1 was shit
I was the guy who commissioned Mandalorian Business to make that Phase 3 render used in your thumbnail. Always nice to see Phase 3.
Nah that was me
@@shamusbob7969 I spent 200 or 300 dollars for him to make that model.
@@CameronKiesser They just did for me cause I was a cool guy.
i looked at your channel, you really like it, it seems 👍
@@jebusglatze1285very based guy. I mean rexs armor is still the most superior version but i respect the love for phase 3
phase 3 was mostly experimental and was used when human soldiers started getting introduced into the early army of the empire but there was a clone arf armor varient that resembled this very closely
The Phase 1 is my favorite design, but I like the modular nature of the Phase 2.
The Phase 3 is very interesting too, and I like it more than the TK armor we have nowadays.
i think everyone does if they seen it
@@Mr.Claw8737not to me
nowadays?
I still say the Phase 1 armor looks the coolest. It's way more distinctive than Phase 2, and doesn't look like remixed Stormtrooper armor.
0:55 Calling the Roman Legionary Helmet a "Roman Gladiator Helmet" really hurt lol
yep i just commented on that too XD
Triton Squad reporting for duty
Those weren't Gladiator helmets. That became standard issue for legionnaires within the Roman empire when it was at its height. The Crest was also standard issue for parade ceremonies and the elite guard.
Pertorian Gaurd
Krome's TFU Phase III Clone Stormtrooper armor is far better than the Lucasarts version.
Lucasarts:
- Standard Stormtrooper armor with standard Stormtrooper helmet combined with PII helmet cheeks and connected visor.
Krome:
- Chest/Back, arms, legs: Clone Trooper armor;
- Shoulders, crotch/glutes, belt, tigh ammo strap: Stormtrooper armor;
- Helmet: Clone/Stormtrooper mix.
Agreed
@@CameronKiesser I don't know if you know this but BF2 Remaster Project is going to have Phase III armors as well. Standard white and 501st.
@@MarsiB013 Yeah I didn't know at all. Nice to know that Phase 3 is getting more recognition.
@@CameronKiesser If you watch their latest video, they are listed as skins on the Fake Console at the beginning of the video.
I've been telling them for a while now that it would be great if they included Phase III. So it's nice to see they're listening. I can't wait to play as them in the Early Empire Campaign.
In the Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, The Visual Dictionary, it states that on worlds other than Kamino they're growimg clones from other templates. So you could have different looking clones. Maybe female as well.
It's funny how in Attack of the Clones a different actor portrays the Clones in their red romper suits when they're in the mess hall. It's explained in AOTC vis dictionary that " accelerated growth, shapes the clone face slightly differently from the clone source. Yet Cody looks just like Jango, and in the Clone Wars series, they all look like Jango.
As for the armour. Aside fromel the obvious changes to the helmets. The Phase 1 & 2 body armour on the standard trooper looks the same. So I don't see how it's more comfortable to sit, run etc.
I always assumed it's because they're a slightly younger clone, not full adults yet, therefore a different face to show youth.
It’s because it’s a younger clone, you also see it during episode 3 when obi wan and the 212th are briefing on the venator before he goes to utapa
We already have the answer to that question. It was the Spaarti Clones featured in the Thrawn trilogy.
I love the phase two armor because they look epic on the clones, especially the phase 2 clone helmets and the phase 2 clone armor and phase 2 clone helmet looks so awesome on Rex, Jesse, Wolffe, Cody, and other clones too.
This gives a new meaning to one size fits all
Which Clone Trooper armor phase is your favorite?
2
Also you spelt armour wrong 🤓☝️🇬🇧
My play favorite is phase 2
Phase II. Their designs look cool.
Phase 1 armour had better protection from blasters than Phase 2, this was mentioned by Rex in Rebels.
Bonus fact: according to canon to stormtrooper helmets are actually repurposed phase 3 clone trooper helmets
Never knew about phase three
8:14 Hunter use the same helmet, so yeah, at least Phase 3 helmet is canon
I prefer how uniform phase 1 looks but at the same time I do like the variety that comes with phase 2
I love clone trooper armor My favorite clone trooper is phase 1 phase 2 and phase 3 stormtrooper armor and TK troopers
Purple because it means you have a light and dark side. Red is the dark and blue is one of the light side colors
you should make a podcast id listen to that sm. a star wars podcast would be amazing
I like the 1.5 armor most. Blitz, Havoc and Colt were Badasse and they looked badass in this armor. Tho it is really cool that 2 of them died by defending their home planet Kamino it still sucks that we never saw them again after this episode.
Personally i kind of wish the blue phase 3 armor was the official uniform of 501st Vaders Fist.
As it would have been a very fitting update to the new armor the Empire adopted while still paying homage to the legacy of the 501st which their namesake came from.
Can you do one with mandalorian armor types?
Nice use of the 187th paint job for the phase 2 clones👍
The TK in TK Troopers is for Team Kill
i did not know about phase 3 😮
What you are seeing is the Clone armors becoming more cheaper and slowly transform from Armored to Environmental suit by Era.
The Purpose of the Clones in general, their weapons, their equipment and armor was, to literally bankrupt the Galactic Republic for how expensive they are. The Clones armored despite their ineffectiveness against the Droids Blasters which are either so powerful, they broke after a few battles (but are so cheap to replace) or they can't be equips by flesh and blood soldiers, because it's would melt their skin off.
The Republic or rather Palpatine forces down any suggestion to replaces the Clone Tactics with more mobiles infantry since the armors were, quite obvious, bulky, and isn't suits for the styles of combat where most Infantry engage in.
Phase 1 and 2 are for combat, the latter became less armor and lighter, more adaptive to changing location. The Clone are mobiles while the majority of the CIS army are slows simple formation walking units, better to get to good positions and dwindle the droids numbers than trying to compete in who armors last longer. Phase 3 was different, it's took Phase 2, make it's slightly lighter, but modified the gears to serves as partial Environmental suits, for occupation in different types of planets, plus it is now cheaper, less armor with the package.
Stormtroopers armor, are, however quite inexpensive, compare to the Clone Phase 1 and 2. However, they are more or less equally as expensive, because of the sizes of the Empire Stormtroopers army. It was massive, in Legend, it is said that the Clone army are 6 millions, while the Empire Stormtroopers core alone are around 200 millions. This isn't some Elite forces, these are forces for Occupations, numbers so larges, they can occupied anywhere.
The goals had change, Now, it isn't for wars, the Stormtroopers armor are good enough at reducing the damages of light to medium blaster to some degree, in exchange, it is an outstanding Environmental suits (for it's prices) in most conditions that would kills a soldiers without it. The Helmet, the strongest parts of the packages came with Optics that allows soldier to see through smokes, Debre and obstacle messing with the lights (Clone Armor mostly can't do that, premium model doesn't count).
But the main purpose, was not for combat, it was to be ready, easily modified to fit any environment, in massive quantities, readily replaceable as the soldiers whom wore it. It was the Armor of a Colonial Occupational Forces, good enough to do the jobs, backing by sheer numbers of endless faceless skulls, emotionlessly abide the bidding of their emperor, aids the colonial process of the Galaxy.
The Stormtrooper cores, directly participate in the population cleanse of many planets, forces the survivors into concentrations camps, where they are slaves to producing for the Empire, both for the army, and civilians Item, with no worker rights, no pays, and no freedom. But since H&M are doing it, Sweden get cheap clothing, so the populations of the Imperial Cores are cools with Slavery.
As for these planets themselves, they are splits and sold to the wealthiest Elite or the Core worlds. If any of these sound like what Great Britain did to all it's colonies, that is because this is the most prominent parts of Colonialism and Imperial Expansion.
PS2 version had the badass blue 501st armor, I like it the best
I would like to see a video about an evolution all Republic trooper armors the Old Republic all the way to the First Order
I wish you can make a video of all First Order troopers types
6:35 This is Better Armor
For once I finally see a video including the phase 3 clone armor. Personally, the clones in The Bad Batch should have been for the clones & for non-clone recruits, give them TK Trooper armor.
do you have new mic? the sound is bit dull
but nice video as allways
Rex was asked to put on stormtrooper armor due to covert mission.
Rex: Oh HELL NO!
9:09 This is plainly unloreful. Rex expresses disdain for the new armour, but he doesn't actually prove it is bad and he claims that the armour is too tight when the issue is clearly that he has put on weight, not the armour. Not only that, but you even mentioned earlier that he preferred Phase 1 over Phase 2 even though the vast majority of clones disagreed with that, so it is clear his opinion really isn't worth much.
Wookiepedia clearly states that these are simply their opinions, not that they are somehow correct opinions. Besides, Kanan had never worn battle armour before, so him being a clone war veteran was equally worthless.
Hope you will also make a video about the old republic trooper and the sith trooper(not the red one).
Phase 3 Gang
what are those clone commando armor in bad batch?? they look kinda different from phase 2 and phase 3 armor
Phase 2 is my fav but I like phase 1.5 arc trooper armour over phase 2 arc trooper armour
I can understand Rex and Caleb(Kanan) and later Luke in A New Hope. I do have a Stormtrooper helmet, and it's almost impossible to see anything. No wonder they missed so much. I prefer Phase 1 armor over any other armor types, but that's only because i'm a Prequels OG, as i were born just in time for the Phantom Menace to come out on cinema.
I mostly prefer the phase 1 armor because i honestly think it looks better than the other phases of Clone trooper and later Stormtrooper armors of the Empire, First Order and Final Order. I prefer simplicity and ease of use, even if it's more bulky and uncomfortable to use and wear. I mean, if it keeps you alive, it clearly works, so why change
I love your videos
Phase lll from the force unleashed looks so much better than bad batches scuffed armor. I get they did it based on the old concept art but that trope got played to death in rebels. We get it. Just because it was the original doesn't mean it was good. That's why it wasn't the final choice Dave.
Rex is also a main character like Anakin, Obi-Wan or Ahsoka. So of couse he has to stand out a little.
Ima break this down differently Phase one armor was uncomfortable because Kaminowans didn’t know much about human anatomy or didn’t understand it well so they made clunky uncomfortable armor but it had good visibility. Whereas phase 2 armor was made by the Jedi for the clones so they could customize their gear while also being comfortable and breathable in the heat of battle, but the helmets had worse visibility. “Phase 3” wouldn’t be the empire, but would actually be the stage where some clones would take the phase 1-2 armor and combine the helmets to make the ultimate armor in battle.
The colors I don’t know much about, but I always thought the color was meant to reflect the Jedi they were used to following.
Which light saber color did Anakin Skywalker deserve as the prophesied chosen one Destin, to bring balance to the force yellow, purple or white, excluding blue, blue and green
Red five white light saber color meaning it’s a mix combination of purple and yellow balance of both sides of the force light, dark and neutrality of Jedi, sith right
I don't think it'd make sense that the Kaminoans would know how to clone, modify, train, and create equipment for humans but somehow fail to create comfortable armor for them. Kaminoans themselves are humanoid, just slimmer, I assume they can just make measurements of a human body and create fine-fitting armor like any clothing-designer today. Additionally there are existing armors in the galaxy to use as reference (Mandalorian) and companies to use for manufacturing expertise or production (you can't tell me no company in Star Wars existence has ever tried to create armor for humans).
If there's some deeper in-lore reason for why the Phase I armor didn't meet expectations I'd like to know. But "They just weren't used to human bodies" is a poor excuse. It takes 10 years for a clone to grow (nevermind all the research, planning, development, and production before the first batch was even possible), plenty of time to take any human in the galaxy (or trained soldiers or mercenaries) and give them a set of armor and ask "How does that feel?".
Again, terrible reasoning for why Phase I sucked.
Wait what about hunter's helmet it actually was one of the first helmets in the cannon to look very close to the Stormtrooper to the point it was morally uncanny to the phase 3 clone trooper helmet😊
9:12 captain rex is a great clone but I think he age is getting to him see look where his finger is it seems in his old age he forgot the gun safety rules
I think they should have just modified the p1 a bit. Instead of making a whole new armor design, what I mean by this is keep the overall platting and helmet design and just change the lower platting and back platting.
2:33 I never understood how the Kaminoans didn’t human anatomy. So they had the technology to create an army of clones and advanced cities but not a machine that can measure a clone’s body to create a suit of armor that fits properly
Stormtrooper armour is not inferior to Clone armour, it is much different though. Stormtrooper armour focuses much more on the technology aspect whereas Clone armour focused on warfare, this makes it very protective but has generally worse tech.
2 Headless Clones In The Bottom Right!?!? 0:04
if i remember correctly phase one was stronger than two
phase 1.5 is by far my favorite.
Are Stormtroopers clones? Or are stormtroopers mainly just regular humans? Like was there a transition that occurred that there was clones but then the empire didn’t want clones anymore? Thanks!!
Phase two armor was actually weaker, hence Rex splicing together his two suits to get "the best of both worlds."
what's with the weight of the P2 armor?
I played The Force Unleashed on the PlayStation and it had the blue marked 501st and the disc stopped working so I stopped playing that game, years later I rebought it and now suddenly the 501st had white armor and the mission changed to day instead of night. I wondered why it had been changed, didn’t like it.
I really do wonder how it's possible to have an armour with a weight of almost 40kg if full plate armour made of steel weights 15-25 kg.
Not same material, but I thought plastoid would be lighter than steel.
Phase 2 armor is always on top
just a nitpick. gladiators NEVER wore crests. what you showed there was a military helmet of some high ranking soldier.
Phase one helmets are the best looking
You telling me he's Lieutenant Rex?🤨🤔🧐
Crazy to think a clone armor set with magnetic feet, ventilation, speech stuff, only cost 3k credits. Yet Omega, a little girl, could win 10k in a card game.
I prefer phase 1 only due to the helmet looking better in my opinion
Wasn’t phase III just tk armor but a little different?
Phase 2 is the best imo
Hot take: TK armor >>> Stormtrooper armor
Stormtroopers are iconic, no question. But the meaner "faces" and more WWII-inspired helmet design just looks so sleek! They really match with Vader aesthetically! 🤩
Do you have permission to use mandalorianbusiness art for the thumbnail?
there's no phase III, they are just triton squad and kashyyyk troopers
The Force Unleashed games are canon to me! For one thing, George Lucas had a hand and helping the developers in their undertaking.
After all, anything related to Star Wars had to go through the approval of George Lucas before they were made public.
Remember they decommissioned the clones so not happening.
phase 4 is first order i guess?
The phase 2 armor are sexy
my bad i meant ark not arf two different battalions
The phase three in the force unleashed was called kasheyke armor
It's just a phase mom
What’s the point of wearing armor when most clones, storm troopers, rebels, ect just die in one shot to said armor
"phase 3" isn't cannon though
1:44
Idk why I do this
Are the phase III Clone troopers Canon?
Only the helmet, ´cause Hunter use the same helmet
phase I is the best.
Wth there’s no phase 3
The Caminoans not being familiar with human anatomy is friggin' stupid. They're literally cloning them, if anyone had an understanding of human anatomy, it would be the Caminoans.
Why would the race of biological cloners not have a good understanding of human anatomy if 1, they had cloned humans before, and 2, they were raising these clones for years before their armor was made. Thats just an explanation I think is really dumb.
Phase 1 helmets are by far the best looking armor in Star Wars. Phase 2 armor is cool too, like the 327th Star Corps with their skirts and shoulder plates, but the Phase 2 helmets does not look as good as 1.
This right here.
Star Wars Legends is Better
Yes it is not the canon crap that Disney made
I liked my own comment
Nice
😂

"phase 3" its horrible, glad it isnt canon anymore
