Thanks for checking out some of the larger machines! It seems like there’s so much 1 series content out there it’s nice to find quality footage on the 3,4,5 series stuff!
So I’m confused he said it does it’s own regen but you Tim said it was gone so is it just a different regen system that you don’t have to stop to do because I don’t have to stop now to regen? Just misunderstood that part sir
Got 100 hours now on my 2024 5075E Premium Cab with 520M loader. It really is an Awesome tractor...comfortable, quiet, smooth, powerful, easy on fuel, the list goes on.... Except for things like checking the engine oil. Try checking the engine oil on the tractor in this video, 23+ 5075E with loader attached. JD made it easy to pull out the big yellow dipstick, but it takes superman x ray vision or yoga master flexibility to get it back in without collecting debris. I ended up sticking a small magnetic tool tray on my loader frame that works perfect as a mirror so I can see the dipstick tube. There are a few other minor issues that have me shaking my head wondering what they were thinking, yet all of them are easy to address at the factory without any added parts or labor $. JD needs to get in touch with me, I would have tested the new 23+ 5E tractors "free of charge" before they went to production to make the tractor perfect so the only thing left for the jd haters to complain about is color.
He has me confused at 7:04 -7:18 about the power reverser…..I shift between forward and reverse all the time with mine without clutching. Also I wonder if the wheelbase is still the same. I noticed the loaders just don’t look right on the 50 series tractors, to much loader sticking out past the front tires. My 5225 has about 4” longer WB.
I have a 18 5075E and I think it’s the best value for the money there is as far as John Deere tractors go. Been a great tractor for me. These new updates are just perfect and Deere is listening to the customers.
Went from a 5085M in 2019 to a 2021 5075E both open stations, the 5085M was a far superior machine in the field but daily tasks barn clean outs etc the 5075 really does well. They should all have up sized tires in my opinion 5075E I was lucky to get one with radials but a great machine for its size
@@TractorTimewithTim For our operation the 5075 does better at getting into tight areas for sure. Each has there advantages and disadvantages neither has done me wrong
I also own an 18 5075E. It's a MFWD, with the convertible option, 12x12, 540M. Good machine. Paid $36,200 for it in April of 18. I wish that was still the price. It's a good hay tractor. Also a good tractor for getting in the woods with ( unless you leave that long ass loader on it) With the loader off it's likely the most nimble machine in its class that I've driven. Excellent visibility off it as well. The fender mounted throttle is the bomb. I didn't think I was going to care less about it, but it's great. Barely ever use the foot throttle with it unless I've doing loader work or am riding one of the kids around. These are some desirable updates. Still my DPF hasn't been an issue for me. I'd rather not have it for sure, but my tractor regens like clockwork every 100 hours. It's never regenned otherwise, and the computer's not going to let it go more than 100 hours without a regen.
It’s interesting that they included the 3rd 4th and 5th hydraulic with the premium cab. It always seemed to me that the hydraulics should be included in a package, and that cab looks nice. Blessings.
Did they change from the racing clutch ? How about moving the light switch up so you don’t hit it with your leg when you’re turning to look behind? Maybe a hand brake instead of the awkward park position.
In 2018 I bought a 5075e and at 100 hrs the computer went out. I just turned 800 hrs on it and it's doing good. The neighbors bought a 5075e in 2018 also, it just turned 200hrs and I use it to mow hay but the regeneration has stopped working. Taking it to the dealership to get it looked at to see what's going on and why it's not working
Nice looking machine. One thing I like is JD puts their exhaust next to the cab post. I don’t like the Hydraulics exposed way out on the side and next to the exhaust. The control layouts are nice in the cab.
Still think it is funny that the right hand door is an "option" on the standard cab! I go in and out of the right hand door on my Kioti as often as the left hand door, can't imagine a tractor bigger than mine NOT having a door on that side🤣, just silly "cost savings"..... (just my opinion of course) That is still a really nice tractor! and good coverage of it TTWT!! Someone needs to design a electrically controlled hydraulic top link that you can adjust from inside AND from behind the cab.........
Greg had some good info there. Reminds me of when you had another Deere person on during your NFMS trips. Hope there was a chance to talk Frontier attachments and what's new on that front.
The hydraulic lines for the loader is on the exhaust stack. There’s a hanger for the lines and wire loom right in from of the exhaust stack hope it don’t melt
The links for the stabilizer bars to mount to the chassis are also different. They also look like they hang farther off the back of the axle than the older mounts did. I wonder if you had to replace damaged old bars, would these newer/beefier bars mount up to the old machine without replacing the chassis mounts for it?
I have the 5075e that uses a lever in the lower left side to put into 4wd. At least, that's what I am told. I can not seem to find it. Any help would be appreciated.
Tim, I just ordered one of these bad boys. The 4066R isn't doing what I need it to do. It seems they have fixed a lot issues I thought my first 5075E had. I don't see a lower dash camera angle in this video. Do you remember if they moved the lights switch so your knee doesn't hit it every time you get out of the tractor? That was one of my pet peeves. That switch could be anywhere design-wise.
Hey Tim, I ordered a 5060e about a month ago. It has the open operator station and 12/12 power reverser tranny. I will have to shorten the exhaust stack a few inches to fit it in my garage. Any other issues I need to be aware of? I appreciate the Bible verses at the end of your videos!
I'd second that the 520M is over-sized for the 5075E. We've got wheel weights and tire ballast, but it's not enough to conformably carry bucket loads of gravel.
I run with ballast at all times anyway using the box blade. I therefore, always have a versatile tool with me at all times. I'd rather have too much power with the loader than not enough like the 3E series. Don't need it all of the time but I do once in a while and sure appreciate it. I have done some strange things for customers that I've needed brute strength for.
I got a problem! I want a 2023 5075E with the premium cab 12F/12R with power reverser and all hydraulics possible. However my wallet only has lint in it !!!!! 😥 It says category two convertible to one. Is that easy to do back and forth or is that kinda a one time thing?
NO my problem is bigger than that! I have over $1 million in John Deere, Ventrc and other equipment picked out with only lint in my wallet!!! At least I get to see them at TTWT!!
Got it this time! This is a standard model, with options, will be a good selling machine 👍 👌 👏 😀 😉, great modifications, this would be for the small farmer that needs a a tractor for making hay bales....... had to review it again.... 👍👍👍👍🤞✌💪
Loving the Farm show coverage!!!!! Another great video Tim! I was actually considering possibly trading off a couple of my current tractors for one of those new 2023 5075Ms, I like several of the improvements, that was till I figured out, just what you had pointed out in your video, that, you can't get any of the 75Hp non DEF machines with command 8 or any of higher end transmission options. I have the 32/16 in my 2014 5115M, I don't really need 115 hp but I do like my high low tap to shift. That Command 8 I believe is even better. I just don't want a machine that I have to feed DEF to, since DEF has a 1-2 year shelf life. Later on, down the road, say if I should start to slow down which we all will someday and say I don't really find enough tractor projects in a given year to go through a full tank of DEF, I don't want to deal with it should it go bad in the tank. That was the main reason I hunted down the two pre-def 5115Ms I have today, one is 2013 model which has the 16 speed trans with optional crawler gear that I never use the crawler BTW, and the other is a 2014 model that has that 32/16 which I do use that hi/lo tap/shuttle feature all the time, both have power reversers on the columns. I sure would love a e-hydro 75Hp machine with full size cab. Basically, a 5075M setup with an e-hydro trans like my 4066R. I would trade one of my 5115Ms and My 4066R for such a tractor in hart beat should they come out with one.
It sure would be nice if john deere put the engine from the 5075e with no regen and the power quad or power 8 transmission together into the 5075M. It seems like they didn't change the 5075M at all.
@@janzadam Yea, I really like the size and capability of the 5 series machines. Thats probably why I have 2 of them. With No regen on the DPF they are CONSTANTLY recirculating massive EGR's and "cokeing" & killing the engine( just like mahindra). Just get an M series & be done with it if you like the "Real brand". "E" Series are for 100 hour a year tractor users.Thank you for the great Video Sir and happy safe tractoring.

None of these upgrades are free, standard or not. Premium cab 3,000 over standard cab = passenger seat, passenger door, and lights, moved around some nobs and radio is what I heard. I just checked premium cab is $5078.00 but in the JD build your tractor you'll need to add a option. Two mechanical stackable SVC for $837.00 , total of $5915.00 over standard cab not 3,000 like the videos said. So that premium cab is very costly 12/16/24
My concern with new system diesel emissions is that there may be some issues like when the regen systems first came out. I would love to hear people's opinions about it .
The way it sounds is that the fuel is more filtered where a DOC is only required. Bobcat has an engine for quite a few years like this, not sure what other companies have been using this.
@@farming4g I appreciate the responses. Always something new to learn. I wish my grandad and uncle could have seen the advances made in small 🚜 Tractors and what we are using on our small properties. Of course they wouldn't have been thrilled about Kubota orange, but perhaps been consoled on our large JD Lawn tractor. LOL
Those tires are still to skinny, they need to offer a 380/420 with 480 rears option. John Deere has always been behind in wider tire options in 6000, 7000 and 8000 series.
I don't know about you guys, but my engine seems to specifically know when I am the most tired after a really long day to kick off a regen just as I'm about to drive it into the tractor barn.
Based on the configuration, this is about $65k if it has three mid SCV’s. Another $10k for the 520M loader assuming the bucket is global heavy duty. Can you do a video for the 5075M? Thanks for sharing!
Sooo… all external features most tractor buyers would construe as basic that should be included in the E Series, can now be procured with an optional Premium Cab… wow JD really nocking it out of the park in 23.
Here what I want to see from JD in 2023. Drop all E series incredibly basic tractors, that gives you virtually nothing for features at a premium tractor price. JDs have gone up double digits in price the past 2 years, with nothing new included to align increased cost to added capabilities. The M Tractor should be the entry level Trim including: MSL/NSL Loader, Quick Disconnect, LED Lighting both front/rear, Telescopic Draft Links, PowerReverser Transmission, Three SCVs Front/Rear, Four Wheel Drive, Electronic Three Point Hitch Raise/Lower fender well, choose of tire types/sizes, Open Operator/Cab, dump all three cylinder engines, and make all engine configurations Series 1-5 inline fours, include snail engine accelerators fixtures all models, and standardize all models look and feel to be the same. The variance today between all model controls layout is staggering. JD needs to provide more valuable feature/benefits in its tractor lineup, where elevated price point is met with increased customer value.
@@igneousc it does not work like that. The amount of emissions put out by a tractor or all of the farm tractors in the world is minute compared to the volume of Earth's atmosphere. Anyway I live in a country where the government did not decide farm tractors needed expensive tin cans that require more fuel to be burned in order to keep emissions down.
@@TractorTimewithTim price of gasoline is $1.65 per litre here. And diesel is $2.11 per litre. So I wonder if the gasoline tractor would be less expensive to operate, even thou it’s not as fuel efficient.
@@noelstractors-firewood57 a petrol powered tractor will consume more fuel to do the same amount of work. Tractors with the PTO running and the implement meeting resistance are doing quite a lot of work. Also Diesel engines will last and be more durable than petrol engines.

No issues, new Holland, Massey, mahindra, Branson all use a doc and no regen
@@DFWrancher all a DOC is
is an fancy catalytic converter
@@farming4g I appreciate the responses. Always something new to learn. I wish my grandad and uncle could have seen the advances made in small 🚜 Tractors and what we are using on our small properties. Of course they wouldn't have been thrilled about Kubota orange, but perhaps been consoled on our large JD Lawn tractor. LOL
What is the cost of that unit?
Like the Bible Verse very much. Good Job
Welcome to our channel.
Does anyone know why the oos has a higher rated power than the cab version?
Thank you in advance for any insight that you Gents. might have.
Presumably, cab a/c takes some power…
@@TractorTimewithTim ahh... makes sense. Thank you, Sir
Is the premium cab available on low hp models?
Yes.
Are the rear tires the same size as the previous models?
Yes…on that machine anyway. 16.9 x 28 (or 32) if I remember correctly.
Do they make fenders for the front wheels ? Otherwise looks good
I dunno.
Yep. Mine too!
Based on the configuration, this is about $65k if it has three mid SCV’s. Another $10k for the 520M loader assuming the bucket is global heavy duty. Can you do a video for the 5075M? Thanks for sharing!
Very nice!
Glad to see Deere getting it together. New Holland and Case IH have way better standard options for the same price. Do better Deere!
Can my John Deere 5075e be upgraded to wider front tires
Yes. It will cost you, but you can do it :-)
Sooo… all external features most tractor buyers would construe as basic that should be included in the E Series, can now be procured with an optional Premium Cab… wow JD really nocking it out of the park in 23.
Thumbs up just for the Bible verse and outro.
Thanks Patrick!
BEAST! I have no need for one, but I sure do want one!
Tim, are you going to trade in Johnny 5 for the new Johnny 5 with the premium cab?
Probably not soon.
@@TractorTimewithTim ☹️. I bet they will have high demand for these new updates.
I want a DOC with my DPC for my DEF
Have to wonder who thought up the idea to force pollution control systems to be fitted to farm tractors and why they did.
because we all have to breathe your emissions regardless if we choose to or not
@@igneousc it does not work like that. The amount of emissions put out by a tractor or all of the farm tractors in the world is minute compared to the volume of Earth's atmosphere. Anyway I live in a country where the government did not decide farm tractors needed expensive tin cans that require more fuel to be burned in order to keep emissions down.
No Regens !
Way too big for my needs, but still fun to watch.
Great video. I’m wondering why gasoline engines are not used in smaller tractors. Sub compact and compact.
Not fuel efficient. And poor low end torque
Well time to go to the JD dealership and throw money at them then after that go buy land to put this tractor to work
Skip an episode???? Psh, NEVER!!!!!
LS has had the raise/lower button system for at least 3 years now, and I think longer than that. It's not new.
5075E is a top seller here in New Brunswick Canada. (salesman)
Rear wiper and a 200 buck radio for the low low price of 12 grand for the premium cab
I'm interested in a 5 series, but the finance committee is not. :)
Failed to mention the price tag
I don’t know it. Should be in line with previous, cept for inflation. The 5e is a cost competitive tractor.
I see an upgrade to the tractor time with Tim's lineup lol (just trying to help you out with the finance department) 😆 🤣
Do they still need government juice?
No, not this size (75 and below).
Aren’t these made in India?
Yes.
👍
If it’s not an “R” it’s not “real”
Excellent John deere is copying case ih with the 3 cylinder with no emissions 😂
🚜🚜🚜😎😎😎👍
❤️❤️
Typical John Deere move to copy the leader New Holland. These features all match the Workmaster 75 for the past 3 or so years.
‘Copy’ ? There are only so many things one can do…seems like pretty obvious upgrades to me…many of them brought down from the prior 5R and 5M.
You gotta be kidding me, New Holland will never come close to a John Deere!!!! No comparison
Don't get the deere
👍
