She's smiling because now she's free. Basically Mikasa killed someone she loved so Ymir was finally thinking about how she could've let King Fritz die by the spear despite her love for him.

I don't think it's just a simple vision of the cabin, or Mikasa in the coordinates for just a moment, Mikasa and Eren spent much more time there.
1.Mikasa knew with all the certainty in the world that Eren was in the titan's mouth.
2.Mikasa knew that Armin and the others had already talked to them.
3.Mikasa knew about Ymir, she knew about the king, she knew information that only Eren had.
4. Mikasa in the coordinate tells Eren that she promised not to talk about that topic anymore, meaning that they had been there for a while, and when they talk about being together for 4 years, there is a knowing smile.
5.Another curious fact is the way they are already accustomed to physical contact, Mikasa before when she hugged Eren she did it in extreme situations, and any approach with him made her very shy, not here. I think I'm right, and that's what the author wants to tell us because it wouldn't make sense for Mikasa to have all that information out of nowhere.
To be precise, it was 4 years. After those 4 years, Eren died, because of Ymir's Curse. After Mikasa cut off Erens head, the short scene, where Eren looks like he was sleeping on the bench with Mikasa saying "See you later, Eren", he was actually dead. After Eren died in the paths, Mikasa's vision Eren showed her ends.
The boy in the very last scene after the credits is just a symbol. He resembles the humans of the future, just like Ymir Fritz resembles the humans of the past. Both of them moved into the forest (remember the metapher of Sasha's dad to "get out of the forest" meaning leaving behind your hatred, moving on and try to understand the opposite side, the tree is a symbol for the forest). Both of them were and will be confronted with lots of hatred and misunderstanding. Ymir Fritz becoming the Firts Titan Shifter is a symbol for past humans not being able to leave behind their conflicts and misunderstanding and beginning an era of wars and bloodshed. So, Ymir Fritz wasn't able to get out of the forest. Whether the boy and therefore the humans of the future will be able to get out of the forest and begin an era of peace and understanding each other is up to everyone to decide. There are many questions, AoT leaves open, because Isayama doesn't arrogate, that he has an answer for all of those questions, no one can really answer.

The way I see it - the "connection" that Ymir was seeking was for there to be someone like her. Both Ymir and Mikasa unconditionally loved someone who committed terrible genocidal acts, but they still loved them despite that. My guess is that it took 2000 years for Ymir to basically find someone who would do something as awful as King Fritz (Eren), but still have someone love them.
It is fucked up, but that's AoT for you. The world is cruel.

Eren said he tried many times to change things but we NEVER see him try to go against what he foresaw. At least not in the moment where Grisha takes the founding titan and the rumbling.
Rewatch season 4 part 1 and tell me if you believe dat still because I could’ve sworn he grabbed up hange asking if she had any other way to go about the marley. Eren had been trying to go against what he had seen for the longest but regardless of what he did everything happened exactly the same way he had seen.

Because some people are only capable of thinking in terms of black or white and the whole point that Isayama was trying to make is that the world doesn't function like that (and not talking about the reactor btw).
why are u so mad at Eren girl? Mikasa, Armin, Levi and anyone else would’ve been dead since the early seasons if it wasn’t for him lol. The amount of sacrifice this guy did for his friends is too much. His method wasn’t morally right but he did solve multiple problems at once for a period of time.

Without the rumbling probably humanity would have killed themselves in only 300 years after destroying Paradis.
This is a world that revolves around violence and war, Eren had to kill at 6 because some people wanted to sell Mikasa to be abused, that would been Mikasa destiny if it wasn't for Eren, Eren also saved Armin, Annie, Reiner they should have supposed to die in a couple of yeara instead they all had long lives like they deserved it, Eren made genocide to a world that wanted to genocide them.

Marley literally reunited the most important people around the world and declared world war against the island and Eren is the ONLY bad one for doing the first attack? Because of this, because the world already had anti titan weapons and Marley power revolves around titans, this is the REASON Marley attacked Paradis to steal the founder because in the next 100 years the world would have massive weapons to kill titans, so Marley needed the founder to have access to the rumbling as well and remain a top nation.
Marley and the world destroyed themselves, the captain of Marley literally say it, this is their punishment, what is happening with the rumbling they're the ones to be blamed, again is not hard to understand it you have been watching, this is a story about war, in war there is no winners and no good guys, just people fighting for their own lives.
