I keep watching your video for 3 times already. Thanks for creating great video and providing good info. Now I am convinced to try the new Extreme Tour and MP racquets. In the past, I tried the G360 Extreme MP (yellow/black) and found it hard to control. The racquet is super sluggish and too powerful. A year later the G360+ Extreme Tour came out and I bought it right away. I like it better than MP. The Tour is very fast and whippy, but not enough power and unstable at times. Hope the new Extreme Tour 2022 is more powerful or Extreme MP 2022 has more control.
So how was the Tour? Please try it with some customization as (assuming it's not that different from the 360+ model) it's really lacking in stability without added weight.
Been using the previous 360+ Tour version of the extreme (Nite colors) for awhile now. It needs weight and once I got the swingweight to 332 it is a great frame. I spent a few days with the new Tour and MP and they are excellent. For myself they are not enough of an improvement that would cause me to switch out all my current frames, but I certainly would recommend people to put them on their demo list.
A little weight can really make a difference! Its a little like buying a new phone… I never upgrade when the new one comes out… I always wait till the next one! If they brought out a ‘blackout’ version, would you change you’re mind? 😜
@@TheTennisMentor I am the same, always wait when a new racquet or phone comes out. The Tour was very similar but, if they come out with a blacked out version in a year I would take another look especially since mine will have more mileage on them by that time. The MP was a big upgrade in my opinion from the previous version, but not my type of frame. Great channel btw, keep it up.
@@cekinekshn I got my frames to 338g, 6pt balance and 332 sw by adding 5 grams of lead across the top of the hoop. 3 grams in the handle plus an overgrip and dampener. I had my 4 frames all matched before I customized and they were a little over spec, so depending on whether yours are under or over will have an impact on what and where I added.
@@eincan1313 hey, I got mine head extreme tour. I couldn't measure unstrung weight coz it's used and already strung with hyper g 1.20. So strung weight without overgrip is 317g. Any advice would be much appreciated.

@@vanodne both of them:) i added a couple of gramm to the hoop. Honestly i don't know the specs after that, but they feels better especially on my one handed backhand. Auxetic feels a bit softer and plusher then 360+
@@Phoniq so swingweight over 340, probably. No issues with lateral stability? I have had to add several grams at 3 and 9 to get around losing power on slight mishits.

And, how do you think the extreme tour compare with other 98 rackets in terms of spin, control and overall quality? Is this the best? Have you ever hit with the Blade, especially the V8 16x19…. I wonder how this Blade compares to the Extreme auxetic MP… A 4.0 senior, one hander and want to go to lighter racquets… Ciao, John
I usually prefer 315+ rackets (I'm also a 18x20 speed pro user with a little weight at 12 + leather grip), but the Extreme MP felt really really nice to me. Great for flat hitting surprisingly. From the video, it seems like you didn't actually get to hit with the tour? I absolutely hated the tour, not close to enough feel or stability at that weight. Kinda disappointed in the Tour, but a big fan of MP! I would recommend the MP over the Pure Areo (though I haven't gotten to hit the new ones, soon!)
Is the Boom a bust? The reviews were positive but does anyone really play with it? Isn't the Speed better? Frankly, I wish that Head would give its racquets a shock absorbing handle rather than technology that only changes the racquets a little. Head's racquets lack shock absorption properties and in that respect are way behind Volkl and ProKennex.
I've hit with the MP a lot over the past couple of weeks. Really dislike the feel at impact - pingy, buzzy, flimsy, hollow, and way too firm - even when strung with a gut hybrid, and even with a little lead. Also supremely disliked the Graphene 360+ Tour so I guess the Extreme range is not for me... Good review though!

Bro you are probably a beginner. The head speed pro is a controlled racket with an 18/20 pattern. Djokovic doesn't use this racket but players like sinner, some wta players or russuvori use old versions of the speed mp. As a beginner you can't really swing such a heavy racket. You might also got it with poly. Poly+18*20 = no free power. The pros swing that fast and produce so much power that they actually benefit from unpowerful frames as they can swing harder and produce more topspin. You would probably play ridiculously bad with djokovic actual racket as it got an even higher swing and static weight and a way smaller sweet spot as it's a 95 racket. The speed pro is a great racket for high intermediate/advanced players and it's not the rackets fault that you can't get used to it
