Amazing video. So does the red and blue wire you tied together go to the positive of the unit I'm trying to turn on? Also do I tie the negative of the switch, the negative of the unit,, and my extra red and black wiring I'm connecting to my battery terminal?
I have some questions on how to wire my boats old switches to bush button switches. I’ve been looking at “Bullet Automotive Buttons” but I’m am totally lost. I was hoping I could send you a picture of my old switch and how it’s wired up and how to wire the new ones.
@@diyboomboxesintexas2805 I know I'm dense but what does this look like? I wired my switch all up except this one. I have the positive and negative from the switch going to a fuse in my fusebox. So do I put the device negative on the same fuse? Thanks for the vid BTW only one I could find to get the other pins hooked up right lol.

Do I need to wire in a relay for items that draw more than 2-3 amps?
I don't think so. Over 5 amps I would use a relay

Where does the negative wire from the device (in my case a radio) connect to?
It connects to all the common grounds goimg to your battery or power supply
