    If you go opposite with the roller than the way inside corners are being bazooka you will have less wrinkles in the tape and stretching.

    Unless you are working by yourself most of the time; running the head on the wall to add a tiny bit of mud on the first couple inches of the tape is a waste of time;. The mud will find its way there by riding under the tape when you wipe it...I mostly try to wipe the tape by starting in the center of it and wipe in both directions .Also, in the long run; refraining from running the wheels on the wall will save the wear and tear on those guiding wheels .But, If you do work alone; then the added mud on the end of the tape will minimize the risk of your tape coming down...specially on ceilings. I noticed you don't seem to drag the tape at all when you run the angles...any secret there? ....I have a hell of time with that part....good work sir....

      Yup the only draw back is more trips to the pump but then again that's what makes it lighter. 🤙🏽

    I always see guys run the taper with the left hand on the bottom and their right hand on the cutter. Is there any reason for this besides that's just how you learned? I was taught that way as well and could never get the hang of running it. When I started on my own and bought my own I found it was easier to have most of the wait on my right hand as that was my dominant hand.

    • @csdrywallhawaii
      @csdrywallhawaii  4 роки тому +1

      It all comes down to preference. I can run it both ways but feels weird on my left side. I guess since the right does moving up and down the gun its easier to control for most of us since its the dominant hand. I have a cousin who coats with his left but does every thing else with his right.

    Whenever I'm running my drywall master bazooka it siezes up halfway through the job. Its not a paper jamb, the wheels just lock up and won't turn anymore. Any idea what could be my problem?

    • @csdrywallhawaii
      @csdrywallhawaii  3 роки тому +2

      Sounds like the internal cable is have problems pulling the plunger maybe the gasket in the plunger needs to be replaced or the push rod that engages and disengages the wheel when going for a refill might need to be replaced. Next time ot gets stuck make sure the gate is open and tape moves freely. If it does push the left side of the gun head in a little and try turning the cable manually. If its super hard something is stooping the cable from turning. 🤔

    U always have the best tools bro, I have the best of the best too and it does make the jobs go that much faster and smoother but some of the very high dollar items you got me beat, im still running on old tex-spray 1000 texture machine by graco and no automatic tapers.... Im going to break down and buy an entire kit to start doing new construction and remodel work like you do and get away from closing up new manufactured homes... I was looking at the level 5 kit which has all your boxes and automatic taper... what brand do you prefer? if you could only choose one brand for your entire setup forever sticking to the brand, what one would u choose?!!!!! I value the heck out of your opinion and consider you the authority so lmk! ALSO!!!!! If you had to choose one texture machine would it be the graco RTX or the marsheltown Duotex sprayer???????

    • @csdrywallhawaii
      @csdrywallhawaii  2 роки тому +1

      Thanks brother shoot that's a hard question but here's my favorite from each brand since I am not really just with one and blessed enough to have tried all of them. My favorite gun is the columbia predator, favorite screw spotters are the columbia brand. Best boxes are tapetech. Best box handle is the drywall master extendable. Best angle box is the columbia throttle box. Tape tech and drywall master glaziers are bot top notch. I would pick the graco since we pretty much only do orange peel it's light weight and a real work horse the duotex is solid but a drag to load and unload by yourself since it's about 200 lbs.

    ... good job guys.
    My question is, how many trips to the bucket to refill for a roll of 500 ft. tape?

    • @csdrywallhawaii
      @csdrywallhawaii  2 роки тому +1

      It holds about 35% less than the regular gun so a bit more than usual.

      it is useless get an automatic flow machine Tape Tech. I have 3 guys we do an 9' on 8' 10,000 board foot in 3 hour with bead cookie cutter.

    How do yous not get "wrinkles" at your 3 ways ? I do my internals first to try and half the chances but even doing square stop I mess about pushing any loose tape out of the 3ways before continuing the other way over the top

      Took a bit in the beginning but it's just practice brother just keep at it tape drag and wrinkles is part of the process.

    Hi Men. Is there any advice for me ? When I 'm running my Bazooka Plaster it's not coming out with the tape despite the fact I have mud in the Bazooka. What am I doing wrong? Sometimes the Plaster is coming out slightly but not enough to hold the tape to the wall.

    • @csdrywallhawaii
      @csdrywallhawaii  Рік тому

      You have to roll the wheel out on the walls about 4 inches prior to pushing the sleeve up to push the tape up. The wheel makes the inde cable move up to push the material up onto the tape before starting.

    Idk do you really think its really worth it? Dont get me wrong love the bazooka tube but if you are close enough to reach with this tiny one, wouldn't it be just as easy to grab a banjo?

    • @csdrywallhawaii
      @csdrywallhawaii  2 роки тому

      Yup this is more for smaller stuff I use it for stuff were the banjo doesn't make sense and it's small enough to not have to carry around the full size.

  • @loreec90

    Don’t waste your time with a small gun(more trips back to the bucket)man up and use a real gun… you’re talking about weight…you wouldn’t have made it in the days of heavy weight mud. I did commercial work and never would have used a baby gun on a lift…guess what , you can adjust lift to the perfect hight for whatever you’re doing
