Wibbly wobbly air right over there: Traps don't work on me. No one can see me. Traps don't work on me. No one can see me.
Me: You're just being paranoid. Why would wibbly air hurt an Operator?
Don't think I'll ever get over how well Jon's videos are edited, the flow just works perfectly.
Was trying to figure out what the title could possibly mean and sort of figured the fat man would indeed be the strategy; I told myself 'nah, there is no way FO4 betrays Jon like that at that VERY moment'.
This game is truly a gift that keeps on giving.
Thank you so much for the heart attack in the last few minutes, Jon. 😭🤣
I legit thought that a bug in the game was going to lead to the end of this series. THREE TIMES!!! 🤣 Wow, what a ride.
Lol he was just reloading
@@julesmasonlynch Was he reloading? Because the ammo counter didn't change one time during that whole bit, even up to the point where it finally fired. Don't think it was a reload, as I've had moments where my full gun refuses to fire in VATS as well.
@@julesmasonlynch I've had that bug happen fully loaded, but never back to back. Sometimes it just won't shoot for some reason. That was pure ridiculousness lol.
rad roaches are more menacing than a quasi-immortal overboss
Certainly more damaging.
The terror I felt when Jon bumped into hanging grenades during the bit where raiders take pot shots at you! That was more terrifying than the fight with Colter.
Imagine the hubris to have a ripper and NOT USE IT
“No, my slow baseball bat will be better at dealing with 6-7 radroaches than the fully automatic ripper will be.”
I think he doesn't get how FAST the ripper does that 8 damage.
He did the maths on 25 hp vs 8 damage, but not on how much it just tears them apart.
@@falloutfan2502 And even in the worst case scenario, the Ripper has some absolutely disgusting chances to stagger.
Wow that mini nuke debacle STRESSED ME OUT
My soul felt like your voice at that moment
"I could return fire, but then I'd be standing still and not moving on" shame we didn't find a legendary just before hand that offers damage reduction while sprinting... that would have been nice lol.
Wouldn't have helped; it was a melee weapon, and a terrible one at that.
@@silversungaming9451 it's a shit melee weapon but you get the DR while sprinting just from holding it. so swapping to it to sprint out of a mess you are in, it reduces damage by 15% and since going into inventory pauses you can do it with near 0 opportunity cost.
@@nevyns9285 That is a fair point. Don't know why I didn't consider the sprinting aspect.
@@nevyns9285 It's still a moot point because Jon avoided any damage from the raiders by staying in stealth. Had he sprinted he would have taken damage in the process. Legendary or not.
@@natsume-hime2473 yes in that situation, but for future use it's far from useless on this style run. And it's an extremely light item.
Jon saying demolitions expert 4 will never hurt is very ironic
Foreshadowing!
The dislikes are from people who only want adamantum skeleton even though its maxxed
Well obviously they want him to max out unarmed so that he can be like wolverine
My favorite part of last week’s video was that part near the end where Jon became Metal Gear Rex for a second to deal with that assaultron.
“Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, i’m Jon and this is FIRE THE COCKING NUKE!”
The power armor symbol is pointing back to the last power armor you got out of, which is in the Commonwealth, which is why it is at the Nuka World Transit Station.
Eggcellent shooting there, Jon...
Rapidly followed by getting extremely Fallout 4-ed...
And having a minor heart attack...
17:58 you don't need a jetpack there is lots of spots where you can get up on to the walls. And you can use the same trick in the safari adventure maze.
Once upon a time, there was a man.. No. A LEGEND !
His nerves were made of steal,
His agility was unmatched,
His cunning, unrivaled.
He did the unthinkable,
Traversed the impassable,
Beat the seemingly unbeatable,
And surprised the most cold hearted murderers the wasteland had to offer
All, with naught but a few scratches.
And yet... this might only be the start to his LEGEND.
Refused to use his Turret Override Program tape...
Med-X? Psycho-Jet? Ripper? Stealth? Sprint through? Nah.
Awkwardly stumble into a 2x2 meter room with a baseball bat? Yep, that'll definitely work.
This is not going to end well. If you can go through the gauntlet without taking any damage, I’m eating my socks.
Edit: looks like I won’t be eating any socks.
He did really well, you should eat 1 sock
@@janecowie3626 uhhh. That’s not how this works.
He didn't do really well, he took about 35 damage from some roaches. That's more than the stealth failure from early on (when he got shot up by raiders with automatics near the old church/Pickman's gallery). I say OP's socks are safe!
That ending was phenomenal it couldn't have been any more tense. I see the title was amazing
Who is ready for another heart-wrenching version of power sneaking and armour legendaries?
And you shot Harvey. 50+ playthroughs and I've never done that! Gonna be a good episode.
"Ant swarms... are what it says on the tin..."
For the last time, I will NOT eat bugs! lol
In Britain that phrase is best nown as an advert for Ronseal wood varnish so I must question your diet lol
@@farshnuke Oh neat. Was wandering where the phrase came from.
Here in the US that whole "I will not eat bugs" thing is somewhat of a meme since for whatever reason some people push replacing regular meat protein with bugs. Needless to say, not everyone likes the idea.
EDIT: looked up the ad and it's pretty good. But i do hope Jon won't adopt any phrases from the "Ronseal apology" video any time soon!
Power being down in the arena by 30% obviously means you kill him 30% more.
Obviously that means that the arena is using 30% less power ... and that the power bill is 30% less ... or something.
Or that its 30% harder to lock on to him with a mini-nuke, which is why it failed 3 times in a row.
Or maybe it's just that the bumper cars all go 30% slower, yes that's probably it.
It obviously means there’s 30% more “it just works” due to the loss of the fusion core draining the energy from the PC.
Actually, It means the thirst zapper is 30% more liquid
I’ve just been watching the level one nuka world survival run so this is perfect to watch now!
Oh great. Now I've got to hunt that down and watch. :P
Been watching Frost myself
Dust!
53:29 that's just the icon for the last power armor you used, and since it's in the Commonwealth, a different map zone, the game's telling you to use the train to get to it. Does the same for Far Harbor, or quests in Skyrim vs Solstheim, etc. Also, I'm pretty sure he was doing the reload animation since he had just picked up a mini nuke and the gun had to put one on the chamber, so to speak
Jon: "One of the reason I came here straight away..."
Me: ~Looks at the title saying Part 32~
Here we go. I've had my eye on this one for a while...
brilliant lol
So you're saying you shan't say no to it then?
You can bypass the maze by jumping on a crate at the beginning and running along the top of it.
I almost forgot this was on tonight. What a lovely surprise seeing this in my notifications!
Jon begs for MONTHS for a good rifle weapon. And then the game gifts him a PLASMA rifle with the ability to do 50% more damage to ghouls right before kiddy kingdom... And he leaves it
Ghouls are so easy though his combat rifle is more than enough to deal with them really. The only ones that pose a threat are like legendary gangrenous ghouls but a crit will deal with them easy. Not to mention leg shots.
@@mrcheesemunch knowing Jon’s luck he’ll be killed by those ghouls
Plasma isn't hitscan though. It's projectile based. And projectiles in FO4 are super wonky when it comes to VATS/crits, which his build is mostly reliant on.
@@nevermind3630 If Jon does get killed by them I can guarantee the plasma rifle wouldn't have saved him with whatever he done wrong or forgot in that situation lol
@@mrcheesemunch From the radroach baseball bat incident, I can safely deduct that even if he did pick up the legendary plasma weapon, he'd still go for the bolt-action sniper in close quarters with ghouls because "it's got higher per shot damage"
Jon, please don't throw molotov's next to any solid object, my heart can't take it!
You must have been just out of range of the splash, since the molotov hit the edge of the teacup when you were throwing at the flying ant swarm...
Only 54 minutes? Uh oh, maybe.
Edit: SPOILERS BELOW
36 damage from the roaches, ouch, but still, well done; this gauntlet was probably the point in the game where you would take the most damage anyways.
But with one Med-x....
Could you edit one more line in so the beginnings of the spoilers don't show, please?
@@alfonsmuller2318 sure. Sorry on desktop it was fine; guess mobile was a bit different

Even though Far Harbor has the constant fog, I think I'm going to be MOST stressed during all the Nuka World sections.
I have never seen that glitch with the Fatman before! That was nerve -racking.
I had serious doubts that Jon was going to make it all the way through the Gauntlet
and be able to enter NW. Good Job!
Pretty sure he was doing the reload animation since he had just picked up a mini nuke and the gun had to put one on the chamber, so to speak
Well, I just lost my death sweepstakes. Excellent run through of the gauntlet! I didn't know about the hazmat suit at the gas room. It didn't work for me during one of my playthroughs, but that must have been a bug.
I'm still in the sweepstakes with "fall damage"...he's going to fall off something eventually.
@@polygondwanaland8390 My bet is still on Demolition Expert being the end of him. I wince every time he thinks about taking rank 4 of that perk.
Jon, it doubles the damage, and every grenade you've tossed this far seems to barely be JUST outside of range to hit yourself.
What? We are getting straight into Nuka-World?`Oh wow not some elaborate 4 part getting thing A for getting into building B do get macjibble C for reasons unkown.
Wonderful ^^
You monster, you killed Harvey. He's just an innocent victim, well, he was when he had a head.
I love this series to absolute bits! :)
Well done! That was easily the most stressful episode is a long time, so much could have gone wrong
Jon - "Just because I don't like these bloody monkeys"
Freeza - "I support this"
It's actually wild that Jon didn't use the ripper, it wasn't even close to a question. Shocked by that decision
Ghoul Slayer Plasma Rifle = Kiddie Kingdom
Got to love a game that will just stop working at key moments
Once, Twice, 3x it just werkkks, yolo. - Gawd Howard.
I *think* the VATS misfire happens when your hit chance drops to zero because the target moves before the fire animation happens.
my guess for the "power in the arena is down 30%" means it takes less squirts for Colter not to have a shield, but can not check, cause im low level in fallout 4 rn
I would like to give a superlike for this episode. Well done. This was the most exciting one so far.
Looks like Jon forgot you can shoot all the enemies who'll shoot at you in the "Audience participation" section of the gauntlet before you even enter that part.
That no firing fatman was more stressful then any movie

"FIRE!"

Jon... you can't fire a fatman without first loading a mininuke in it...
The little voice break with "fire the cocking nuke" just cracks me up. Jon you need to do a 2hour long compilation of your finest cocking moments.
I love the sheer panic with the nuke not firing
Begs for a "good" legendary weapon, turns down a "Ghoul Slayers" plasma weapon...😂🤔
Before hitting Kiddie Kingdom... *facepalms repeatedly*
It was a plasma flamethrower though, so not so useful, as he doesn't have the Science to mod it it to something longer range.
I'm stunned he didn't panic at the end and completely fluff the whole thing like he normally does
Psychojet....... This is why you gave carryweight issues, you carry things for situations, but when the situation comes, you dont use the thing!!! 😂 you're killing me here, I thought the run was over there!
My heart can't take that kind of fight again. My god that nuke...
Jon I think you were doing the loading animation for the fat man, which takes effing forever. Hard to tell cause of stealth
That's an early upload, will watch it while it's still hot!
The mini-nukes failing was Todd Howards divine intervention. He made the fat man fail until Colter was at a safe distance as a reward for making "Fallout 4 is better than you think". Normally you can only get Todds Blessing by sacrificing money to the atom store.
Jon panicking using the Fatman in VATS is the most beautiful reaction I've ever experienced in YOLO. Tears went down my face from laughter.
Also Jon could have use the stealthboy with the ripper on the roaches. Then again... he ran past the cooking station he was looking for in Sunshine Tidings Co-op in one of the beginning episodes.
“Demo Expert 4, that is never gonna hurt!” Said Jon about the only perk that might literally hurt him.
The map always shows you where to go to get to the last set of power armor you wore. In this case the cell sees that your power armor isn't on this map and instead shows you the nearest door you can take to get to the cell that does have you power armor, in this case the monorail is that door. You can tell your power armor isn't in the same cell by the upward-pointing arrow next to the power armor icon, showing that it's on the other side of a map load.
it is immersion breaking for a giant crab to have a ghoul slaying plasma rifle on its corpse.
