The mark @5:28 looks like the Greek letter ' Psi '. Also reminds me of a cactus. Could also be an ' I ' over a ' U ' ... let us know what you figure out. Those fireplace tools are nice. Keep an eye out for those brass fireplace screens, too. I found two at the same consignment shop for less than $20 each (think one was 8.99 and the other 14.00) and they list/sell for a considerable amount.
Absolutely! A while back I actually found 2 cast plates with Greek figures on them for $5 each. They were amazing. I actually sort of regret selling them. Thanks for watching!
Wow….Got both the auction n lots right….but was going to say the Eisenberg paintings at first…. to be honest, and maybe that portrait!!!…Anyway, Joe,…. All of these finds were fascinating..AGAIN !….Lucky Son of yours!.. to get the airplane, it’s so cool for him….loved the 1970’s cat picture ( coincidentally…Have just picked up a lovely ‘amateur’ watercolour tabby cat picture from a charity shop here 👍😄… how about that)….The brass fire iron set was brilliant…reminded me of the candlesticks I mentioned to you last time… always a winner, Joe… so beautifully made, and desirable….Really loved the ‘mystery’ glass piece..vase/ art glass, the mark on bottom was difficult to see, but hope you can identify the maker… because it could be very good MCM item, maybe….Pottery finds, also really handsome ones, particularly the dark blue example. My other favourite was the ‘naeve’football game painting…wonderful, will get a lot of attention, I feel…and a very good price…Enjoyed the variety of treasure this time (always )…and the challenge to pick out the auction lots ?!….I know they will ALL do well for you👍👏…Sue (UK)
Thank you so much Sue! It's always great to hear from you. And yes, I did decide to give the plane to my boy. Some time I will have to take down 2 other metal planes (currently hanging from his ceiling) that I found while thrifting. They are much larger and quite detailed...must have been made by an enthusiast. Either way, thanks again for watching and I wish you the best of luck finding treasures in the UK :)
As always, I enjoyed this video.
I appreciate that and thank you for watching!
I live in the tropics. So love beautiful fireplace items. Great finds as usual.
Thank you so much! The tropics sounds wonderful.
All nice items. Great job
Thank you so much!
