About the VR question. I do not have the gear, but I would consider streaming the iPad screen to the PC and maybe then it could be shown in the VR. However there would be no way to interact with it in the VR. I think the streaming is called mirroring. This would be all completely 3rd party applications and configuration.
I noticed in the last video, the emergency glide scenario had Austin circle away from the airport. Wouldn't the safest solution be to circle towards/over the airport?
Wow my question got answered !! if i asked a question about Microsoft flight would the team reply I'm thinking most definitely not..... all other simulations are toys compared to x plane
Hey Michael, gr8 video by the way, I felt in love with this mix x-plane Tesla video ,it was really awesome of you both, can you please ask Austin when will x-plane 11 have a AI traffic that really follows the departing schedule all the way to the destination like Aerosoft does with their AI traffic 360 for Microsoft Flight simulator ? X-plane needs the AI traffic to go from the gate all the way to its destination gate ,at the moment the AI traffic just appear around the plane randomly out of no where ,x-plane has more potential then the competition out there .Thanks
Hello Mr. Meyer, love all that you do especially X-Plane. I switched from Microsoft and P3D after decades of use to X-plane years ago, but I'm writing about Xavion. I'm not a licensed pilot, I've only flown a few real world aircraft including a helicopter, but as an everyday person I think Xavion should be required equipment. At least on commercial flights. I hope I haven't over stepped but just now I reached out to two you-tubers, Captain Petter Hornfeldt from MenTour Pilot and First Officer Kelsey Hughes from 74 Gear. I asked both of them to do a video on Xavion, which I assume they will see as an indispensable addition to safety. If you do not want this then please let me know and I will withdraw my posts to their accounts. Thanks, cheers.
About the Tesla fire thing, I guess things need to be in proportion. How many gasoline cars are in use and what proportion do catch on fire?. Now do the same with Tesla cars.
Does Xavion differentiate between classes of 3D airspace by color in the same way it is depicted on a VFR chart? I haven't had the chance to really go through the app yet.
I would get this app if the questions below got some feedback but there isn’t any. Also don’t understand why active TFR’s don’t show up on Xavion 2d map, sounds like an excuse, I’m not giving up that feature which works really well on Foreflight for this thing.
@ it is only for significant forces the wings flex.. I am talking add constant minute vibrations of wings relating to small air pockets/disturbances like you see on the real airplane
Just another great video from our greatest realism flight sim creator! Now speaking about best glide ratio, you'd probably want to fly at the best lift to drag AoA (of course, when known and shown) only by using the trim (to stop focusing on pulling/pushing the stick and follow speeds) and let the horizontal and vertical speeds settle automatically by themselves, even if a pitch phugoid will develop over a limited period of time.
The Xavion technology makes flying much simpler. I don't understand why it's not implemented in airline's aircrafts. It can be either a backup or even the main IFR tool, if connected to aircraft's INS and GPS. We had some accidents when pilots lost situational awareness and crashed. This can't hapoen with Xavion on board. I am an electronics eng. and a private pilot with instrument rating, so I never understood why the UI of modern avionics is so unnecessarily complicated.
If Tesla really wants to sell cars in SC then they need to come out with the "General Lee Model 3". Make it orange with a big Confederate flag on the top of the car....
Hello Antony. Obviously I can't speak for anyone but myself, having said that may I respectfully offer a possible explanation for Austin's statement. Personally I believe his comments on restricting Tesla sales is more closely linked to pure capitalism and not communism. Maximizing profits by crushing the competition. But in my humble opinion Austin is very Pro-business, and that he may have made a common knee-jerk response to what he perceives as a negative move by an authoritarian government. And authoritarian governments are normally associated with communism, but clearly not in all cases. Bottom line I do believe Austin has a good education and more importantly, talent and insight. If not he would not have been able to create both X-Plane and Xavion. Have a swell day. ;-)
This guy is so awesome. He is so passionate about all of this.
Austin is just over flowing with knowledge, What a fantastic instructor he would be.
I just love this guy. You gonna get frustrated, then move to Argentina.
Xavion was an amazing band in the late 80s- “Love Games” my favorite

X Plane run like shit on VR don't waste your time

Microsoft flight 2020 will most likely blow xp11 out of the water.
@@a-hvlogs2046 I would not be too sure

In case of iPad failure, could you not switch over to your iPhone? Would it be generally difficult to keep two devices ready to use?

I wish I could do one of these interviews with Austin Meyer
Man you are so right on with electric cars
What size iPad is Austin using with that stay level panel?
👍🙏🏻❤️ for rooting for Tesla and love your app😉 ..I have S 3 X and love them!
What is that panel he is using? Is that Stay Level Avionix or something else?
Stay level
xplane future suggestion : please add wing movement / flexing caused by flight loads / inertia

Dear Austin. Could you do some of your coding magic to remove the VR chaperone in X-Plane.
If I want to get a second iPad to mount on my C172 yoke to run Xavion, which one should I go for? (The primary iPad runs ForeFlight on my lap)
This software is amazing. No more ForeFlight for me. Would be great of the voice warnings could be a nice female soothing voice
This guy is inspiring
Can anyone help me I didnt know how to avoiad the : X-Plane
has no memory anymore Warnig, More Planes I cant delete...
Can you get charts
Will nobody comment on that LEFT magnet being used instead of BOTH?! :)

I love my model 3 too
Most instructors I know would about the worst possible time "fail your ipad" and watch you scramble to switch.
can you say iphone?
Open source wake turbulence information in the cockpit, now making the skies a safer place for the pilot.
+1 Humanity points
9TH!
why is that important enough to comment about being 9th????
7TH!!!!!
When the government makes good products illegal, that just make me want it more.

How is that communism - get an education.
