Minor nitpicky correction; those are niqabs, not burqas. Plus you could literally see some women wearing your average Muslim hijab. Moreover, the narrator was describing a scene not often found in Saudi Arabia. You usually don't find men, women, or children together gathering for an EDM concert or a circus performance (both of which are pretty Western in origin).

Saudi Arabia is improving and I don’t think a lot of people see that. Saudi Arabia is not horrible, every country has its problems, you can’t ignore that fact. Saudi Arabia is trying to work to fix those problems and remove it. Islam is not the problem, nor is anyone that isn’t Muslim. I wish we had freedom of religion in Saudi Arabia. The problem is westerns think Saudi Arabia is so terrible and we need help. Stop caring about us, people help the people living under communism in North Korea or China, they need it more than we do. Help others than need help, we have food to eat, air to breath, and shelter, we have jobs and incomes. Help other that worry about the next time they will eat.

Always find it extremely simplifying when youth is almost automatically associated with liberalism. Modernism sure, but only in the sense of its close semantic relation to the word "new". Youth is not liberal, youth is easily seduced by the new trends, youth is seduced by the change - this is what history teaches us. And as fast as Arab spring turned into Arab autumn, and as much as the youth in the western societies is becoming more conservative and religious (USA, UK, France, Poland, Hungary) happily voting for right-wing parties - representing the change (just not the one liberal-minded people would want) - the same most probably will happened after short liberal revitalisation of Saudi. Without deep social change and with such a strong presence of radical interpretation of Islam in the society, liberalization is unsustainable, the more liberl Saudi will be just a short-lived, celebrated by the West oddity that will soon go back to conservative values... As long as religion and law are one, I'm keeping my fingers crossed but do not belive in the long-lived change.

Leftists in Saudi Arabia are a minority. They all belong to foreign families or weak bloodline. Saudi Arabia and nearby countries share the same bloodlines of families as big as the Royal family, from before the country exists, They still exist and they share a great sense of belonging to each other. Of course, they are strict with their traditions. even women. And Families refuse to marry from any bloodline outside of the big families.
In these videos Liberals always interview the minority because they share the same interests.

Though what I really want and mostly worried about is us losing all of our culture and religion in order to satisfy westerners. I hope that we can balance everything and not get too carried away. Not gonna say all of my opinions cus I know many of them might spark arguments. Love some of these changes though it is a little scary with all these sudden changes coming so quickly. I’m not referring to women not being able to drive as a culture but the mingling of men and women is something that Islam strongly condemns and yet western journalists keep on bashing Islamic country for practicing their religion.

How stupid was that. It's no wonder the world hates islam and your god allah. Your culture produces VIOLENCE in the world. Your so called false religion needs to be destroyed once and for all. Your religion hates everyone who is not a muslim. You know that, I know that. We do respect other people's culture, but we don't want VIOLENCE and DEATH !

why wouldn't they let women drive ?! this is stupid, I'm muslim too, from Algeria, I mean, women at the time of the prophet used to ride on camels, horses, they even used to go on war, the first wife of prophet Muhammed peace be upon him used to be the most powerful and most rich woman in Mecca, and he used to work as a merchant for her, what they're doing has nothing to do with islam whatsoever, there's nothing in our religion that opprosses women, in fact, islam tells us to respect them and love them and be equal, there's a whole chapter in the Quran dedicated to them, called "Women" (Surat al nissa), if women weren't important in Islam why would God make a surah for them and not for men ?, and the saudi arabian men are hypocrites (not all of them offcourse, but the ones who have this type of mentality) they want to force their women on hijab, and stay at home and command them, but they'll be partying in nightclubs with naked oriental dancers
