    I feel like it’s odd that you have rushed everything so much & don’t even really know each other. It’s odd that a guy would be so keen on moving so quickly. You have had no time together and just stepped into these “roles” just for the sake of being in them. Why do you keep saying “this kid” when referencing him? Lol wtf. You have a very privileged outlook on things; saying you are uneducated about things etc. get educated then. These are real issues facing women every day

    As someone who has had to have an abortion, saying 'it's killing a baby no matter what' is extremely triggering. It's fine to have your opinions, but I think there are kinder ways to talk about it than that. Some people don't have a choice

      Hi random individual sharing a different point of view. I have earned a graduate level education at 29 years old. I have also had very little conversation around, “safe sex” and came from an unstable household. My reason for sharing this is because I am someone who hasn’t got pregnant yet out of what some would call luck. I have been sexually active for ten years and for my personal beliefs have had, “safe sex”. I wanted to create a dialogue just to say I think having expectations that everyone has the same upbringing and current sex education is unrealistic in todays world. And not everyone has the same access to certain knowledge or resources. Like I said just bringing a different POV to light. (:

      @@afflaff34 I also grew up in household where talking about sex was very taboo and looked down upon, mostly for religious reasons. My parents are the two biggest prudes you’ll ever meet and never talked about the “birds and the bees” or anything like that. I learned everything on my own. I’m 27 now and still learning, and it doesn’t even really matter for me personally because im not sexually active. HOWEVER, if you are, the responsibility relies on you and nobody else. You are the one having sex at the end of the day so you really can’t blame it on the school system or on your parents. That’s like saying “don’t blame me for not cooking because growing up my parents never cooked.” You can still learn it on your own, it’s your responsibility. I mean really they are acting like teenagers. They shouldn’t be having sex If they don’t know how it works

    • @avolynfisher
      @avolynfisher Рік тому +12

      Yes. And to be that many years out of high school and still blame it on the school for not teaching you when the internet exists. Doctors exist. Adults who may have advice you can trust, exist.
      Anything else in life we don't know that we wish we knew more about we generally go do some research. We don't say, oh I never learned how to do xyz in high school so I guess I'll never know! 😅

    • @afflaff34
      @afflaff34 Рік тому +1

      @@avolynfisher I agree 100% that we have access to a lot of information more so than in the past. I also think life doesn't work out the way we ideally expect because we have access or knowledge 24/7, typically. I am simply bringing to light that many factors come to play in why a person may end up in an unplanned situation like this and factors outside of their control. Definitely healthy to agree to disagree sometimes. (: I do hope that we keyboard activists can take our opinions where there will be an action instead of just sitting on this youtube page. Thanks for the reply!

But with untested partners, it's worth still using condoms. I've had friends get STIs from casual flings and even a long-term relationship, they can actually pop up months after being together and people can be asymptomatic. Definitely worth ensuring your safety regarding both pregnancy and STIs. STIs can progress to more serious infections or conditions when you're not aware of them.

    Oh my god thank you for your part about women being uneducated about this stuff because seriously, I never had the talk at all about anything from my parents, they completely ignored it because taboo and all.. and my school didn't do nearly enough. I'm almost 28 and STILL learned the hard way about things, and other issues that women struggle with like having a hard time saying no and sexual assault too. Our culture makes that normal for women to stay silent and the conversations don't happen until you're even in late 20s or older.

    Girl no offense but you should really understand the way your cycle/ fertility works at this point as an adult, especially after a 10 year relationship. You are right, hormonal birth control is really bad for a woman’s body so it’s good you are off it now but the idea that a woman can get pregnant any time she has sex is very untrue. There is only a short period of time during the entire month that a woman can get pregnant, it’s called your fertile window. So you must have had sex during that time period when you were fertile. I really recommend getting the book “taking charge of your fertility.” It goes over the ways to track your cycle and understand the way your body and fertility works and it’s a very effective method, works 99% of the time. You can’t rely on the school system to teach you this stuff. You guys are acting like some teenagers. Don’t have sex if you don’t know how it works.

    • @kristadanciulescu

      Just ordered the book! 😁😁

    • @jessicahoward7138
      @jessicahoward7138 Рік тому +2

      @@kristadanciulescu good on you, it’s a very important and super comprehensive book, it literally goes over everything you need to know about a woman’s cycle and understanding fertility. It’s a very hefty book but in short, when your discharge is a more clear and egg white texture, that’s how you know your in your fertile window. So it’s best to abstain from sex or use condoms if you don’t want to get pregnant. You also notice it with having more hormonal changes such as a higher sex drive. And then when your discharge is thicker and more white/ creamy, that’s how you know you likely aren’t fertile and pretty much can’t get pregnant during that time. There are also fertility device trackers like the daisy fertility monitor that you use every morning. It tests your temperature and gives you a green or red light on if you are fertile that day bc lots of your fertility is based off body temperature. The book goes over all this. It’s really not that complicated and is something every woman should know to be empowered with. Especially someone who’s 30 and was in a 10 year long relationship. This is what women used to do back in the day before they popped hormonal birth control pills. Jolene brighten is a good resource too

    • @kknight0401
      @kknight0401 Рік тому +3

      Yeah I was a little surprised she didn’t know because my school system was the same. They didn’t really teach us about the ovulation cycle. We learned about condoms, the pulling out method, stds, Sperm and egg, but now so much the ovulation part. but as I got older I became curious and just researched it myself this way I had the information. Im aware not everyone takes it upon themselves to research stuff but I think if you’re not aware of something and if you’re ever curious , a good rule of thumb is to look it up :)
      Example: I bled before my period and I didn’t know if it was hormone imbalance so I researched and came across implantation bleeding which they didn’t teach us in school either but that’s why I looked it up myself and found the answers to my questions
      I always say “to each their own !” I’m not here to judge anyone. This is their journey and now that they know about ovulation , they can do with that information however they want in the future but it’s good info to have

    • @stephanier3300
      @stephanier3300 Рік тому +1

      let's give her a little grace. I'm 27 and the first I'm learning about fertility is because my sister is TTC. Otherwise I wouldn't know either. It's a lot easier to track when you have regular periods, but I'm on birth control and mine has been irregular for the last 10 years. She's also very slim so you never know if she went a period of time without her menstrual cycle at all and therefore thought she couldn't get pregnant. My mom got pregnant while on birth control and women CAN conceive the entirety of their cycle. It may be far less likely when you aren't ovulating, but I believe it's a myth that you can't get pregnant on your period. You can. Best piece of advice is to educate yourself and take all precautions if you don't want a baby.
      At the end of the day Renee and Zander are both adults, engaged in baby making activities lol, and evolved to make the best decisions for the baby and themselves. No it's not traditional, yes it is still a love story. I'm glad to see these two so happy together

    Hi! There’s a method called the FAM (fertility awareness method) that’s non hormonal and just helps you know exactly when you ovulate so your safe. There are instructors who teach it all. This is for all of y’all who feel stuck ❤

Sometimes you think your life is going one way and it does a 180 but often for the best! Wishing you two all the best ♥️💖

    100% agree with everything you said on abortion. Its sad we have to tip toe around our beliefs to please the masses and not be canceled. Babies are babies regardless of what age they are. So happy for you guys!!!

      It's sad how the western world is so casual about things like this. Yeah sure get into a relationship and start having sex immediately. There's no respect for building a long-term relationship or thinking about the consequences or the future. Get pregnant? Ops let's go fix it with an abortion. Inevitably they'll breakup and she'll just go on to repeat the cycle with a new guy without even a single thought. Pathetic basic bitch behaviour.

      I think the more we “normalize” talking about topics like abortion, the less divided we would all be. I personally love when creators share their opinions like this, in a real, casual way. It breaks our echo chambers and makes topics more approachable. It encourages real conversations, rather than heated arguments where neither side actually listens.

    Since I'm old enough to be your grandmother, the question was marriage what do you think we should do? The answer would be we need to ask God what he says we should do. Because the Bible's pretty clear on some issues and especially clear on this one
