Mannnn god damn! That scene, every time... Incredible from EPIC at the time to craft such a story, it's left as an undertone until this exact moment. As a kid, I must say this was a horrific realisation that she's gone - even though she's right there. Pretty profound for a video game that is 90% viscera and gnarly gunplay Again, props in the video! Enjoyed it
This was a total walk down memory lane man. GoW2 was such an absolute blast. Had completely forgotten about pretty much everything, but it all came rushing back. I was one of those kids that made his dad go to best buy before going to school on the day of release. This was the only game i ever did that for. Good times.
21:30 if you notice marcus hears one gun shot, and then stops walking, listens for a second then keeps moving. What I think happened was marcus was listening to see if he heard a second gun shot, to see if dom was gonna kill himself too, but marcus doesn't hear the second gun shot, so he keeps walking. Something I never noticed until a couple years ago, and I been playing this game since the day it came out. I got it day one, and I never noticed marcus listening to see if dom kills himself. Heavy stuff, super intelligent visual storytelling , and something I've never heard anyone mention before. Rewatch this scene with this in mind, it hits different.
Well MS was the one that brought it all down. Constantly stood in the way and forced many studios down paths they shouldn't be on... *cough* Rare *cough*

Loved your videos But how do you not talk bout the fact that the Host, could make PAUSE in a MULTIPLAYER Game 😂😂 Sure it doesn't stay forever, " queeckly" patch, one week or a bit more, but woah that was umbeliveable A second fact really annoying, was the smoke grenade, and you talk about it The new thing was the fact it make you down now, but during weeks it was glitch as hell I remember that the Kantus Skin could fly into the air Ahah And months later they decide to make the Smoke just like Gow 1, no more Down It changes a lot of the Meta, specially in Gamebattles Matches Personnally, I still think Gow 2 is a clanky, weird games I got a lot of good memories on Gow 2 sure, but the sensation of the gunshot, they way the bullet touch the Body/chair, not as satisfying as Gow 1 I also found Gow 1 more beautiful strangely ^^ I think Gow 1 is stille The Goat Gow 2 is good, Great Story mode, but a little Broken Multiplayer But still a great Game Ty for your 2 videos, great work Man !
duuuuude. I didn't even know about the Pause by host in the first few weeks. It never came up in my research or chats with the OGs. Yeah I remember the change to the smoke grenade changing the meta of gamebattles, but I was out of the competitive nature of games by then. And the Skorge skin flying through the air was fun for glitches. I might do a video for the 3rd game, but it's not as nostalgic for me so I'm holding back.
@icecoldsnakeYT I think the Host who could Pause for Everybody was only on Private custom match. And since we've got a french communauty on Gow 1, we did custom match day one. And i guess they patch that quickly It was so ridiculous Ahah I understand for Gow 3 I have less Love for it too The maps were not really good, and they put the worst nightmare for OG Players : The sawed off Gunshot Worst idea ever This thing was Hell
I really wanted to get into Gears when I was younger but I hated it along with Halo because it was Xbox exclusive and my poor a** only had a PC in my former soviet country.
