She wasn't allowed on the site because she was not the coroner of record. The administration of the case was transferred to Calumet County. It’s it’s really amazing and sobering that a “Documentary” supposedly presenting “evidence” could be so powerfully spun so as to make its viewers feel like you are the detectives. You feel like you’re going through evidence, not realizing that evidence has been carefully tailored and altered to manipulate you to come to a conclusion-and when you reach they conclusion they’ve designed for you to reach, you feel like you’re better than the police and smarter than the jury. You don’t even realize you’ve been told what to believe.

I think ppl thrive off of hating police, in some circumstances I understand I’ve not always been treated well by an officer but to blame all ain’t right and the victim in this case is Theresa H and she was lost in that docuseries. Now am I thrilled with the fbi currently, hell no but I don’t view all law enforcement as corrupt. Exactly, this episode was suppose to prove how much we were lied to. They play footage of his cousin saying Steven was naked in his yard and ran her off the road, that was info already given to us in the original docuseries. We already knew this and yet none of that makes him a rapist murderer, it simply makes him a guy who's naked in his front yard who's license should probably be revoked. Way to many coincidences in this case for him to be guilty. As you said zero DNA in that trailer and zero of Stevens DNA on the key that some how ended up in his trailer after multiple searches had already occurred and he was locked in jail he then some how plants the key in his own trailer he no longer has access to. Then some of the main people mucking up this investigation accidently leave their names off the check in and check out list for accessing the property. YEA OK....... The medical examiner who was interviewed in the original docuseries second season, the older white lady somewhat heavy set she is one of the main people who gave statement who clearly painted the picture of the extent the police were going to cover up something.

Regardless of what may have been left out of the series or whatever there are always going to be two major things for me that stand out and make zero sense in this case 1 being that the keys were not found with so much searching but magically appear when the local officers search and I plain sight too with the outside officer basically saying all but outright accusing the local officers of being liars on the stand. And 2 being the fact that they used the boy's "confession" as a major pivotal part of these convictions but there is NO WAY that Halbach could be murdered in this way in that house without blood being found somewhere the only way this would be possible is if they burned both buildings completely down.

Brendan Dassey was unable to provide any details about the crime or the victim, during his 3 illegal interrogations. His court-appointed lawyer told the press that the boy was guilty before he ever talked to the boy. Then the boy told the judge, in court, that he wanted a different lawyer. The judge refused.
Steven Avery had just won a lawsuit against the same sheriff department who arrested him. Steven Avery was about to be paid 40 million dollars by the State of Wisconsin, and then the sheriffs and the prosecutor and the judge from his previous false conviction would have been in trouble. But they arrested him, and it all went away.
A few facts that no one disputes:
#1, the victim's body was burned somewhere else in the woods, and then some of her bones were moved to Steven Avery's yard.
#2, the sheriffs under investigation for corruption in Steven Avery's previous case were not supposed to be involved in searching Steven's house. Other sheriffs searched his house 5 times and found nothing. Then the sheriffs under investigation searched his house and found the victim's car key lying in the floor.
#3, three days before the victim's car was found at Steven Avery's junkyard - not crushed with his car crusher - one of the same sheriffs under investigation is recorded calling the 911 operator and reading her the victim's license plate number.

I do expect some answers to the following several things I have an issue with, however: 1) why wouldn't the woman's car simply have been crushed in the car crusher rather than just hidden behind some bushes; 2) why wouldn't the woman's body be put into the on-property incinerator that would leave nothing but ashes rather than what he supposedly did with her body? 3) after being stabbed multiple times and shot in the head while restrained on a bed in the bedroom, why was there never a single drop of blood discovered in that room? 4) same goes for no blood in the garage; 5) on the 7th (SEVENTH!) search the keys for her car are found in plain sight in Avery's room?
What I don't like about this is that you guys talk about his nefarious ways as a youth as damning while, in truth, NONE of that would even be allowed in a court of law. Why? because it's actually irrelevant to the crime for which he was accused.
So, Avery isn't a very good guy. I get it. But he was still wrongly convicted of a rape he served many years for. I need much more to convince me he's actually guilty of this crime. I'll watch the whole series to see what you've got, but the damning evidence against the police is pretty overwhelming

It's the nature of his younger crimes and what was omitted. You have to understand just how awful he really is from his past crimes that also reasonably put perspective on this. It's not that he didn't do it. It's how he did do it.

So, this is only one episode of ten. I haven’t seen the full thing, so I can’t speak to the entirety.
I believe this is relevant only because Making a Murderer made it relevant by saying “hey look this guy has made a few bad choices but not that bad …”
Episode 2 shows more of that, including his behavior in prison during the time he was wrongfully in jail. It doesn’t shy away from yes, he was wrongfully incarcerated, but here’s the stuff that went on between him and his family during that time.
What I have seen up to this point has been “was this guy capable of the murder he will be charged with” and my answer to that is yes, absolutely. That doesn’t mean he did it, i want all the facts before I say anything that clear. But because Making took the time to make it sound like he couldn’t do it, Convicting took the time to show his pattern of escalating issues that tells me he could. Two of the 3 indicators of future murderers are inappropriate fires and animal cruelty. Spoilers, but you’ll find both in episode 2. You’ll also find escalating in intensity conflict with women so i am seeing his progression of getting worse and worse.

Because you can't just drive an entire car into a car crusher. You would need to drain the fluids, remove the engine block and transmission, remove the wheels etc, and then lift the car into the crusher with a large loader. It would take a single man several hours to prepare the car to be crushed, and be extremely noisy and involve several pieces of large machinery. The car was parked in the part of the yard where the crusher was, and Steven was obviously waiting for the right opportunity to perform the work without his family or anyone else noticing.

I never came away from watching making a murderer thinking Steven Avery was a wholesome guy or thinking he had never committed any crimes. I did come away from it thinking there were some very suspect elements of the evidence against him though. Steven in ways reminds me of my eldest brother who, in his youth fell in to the wrong crowds and did some very similar stupid things…drugs and alcohol also changed my brothers behaviour. In saying that, I know my brother no matter how aggressive he could be was not a murderer or rapist. He now has completely changed his life and is a grown man with 5 children and a great job. I like to get all the information, I agree Netflix laid it on thick with emotion but that doesn’t in turn equate to everything in the series being a falsification. I look forward to learning more and will reserve judgment. As it stands, at the very least I do believe Brendan Dassys confession was coerced and certain elements of the crime scenes don’t match the narrative of the prosecutors.

I'm not sure what the goal is here, but hopefully the aim is to shed light on some very important details.
Starting with the sudden appearance of a key on search day 7, devoid of Theresa Halbach's DNA, and found by two officers who had conflict of interest due to the deposition they had only days prior. And found in a spot that had been search multiple times, and no key was found.
Another is why the forensic scientist was not allowed near the original site of where her remains were found. She testified to this and found it incredibly suspicious.
Additionally, according to Dassey's "confession", she was strapped to the bed, naked, was stabbed, and had her throat slit. That was all supposed to be in the bedroom. Not one drop of blood found anywhere in that room. That mattress should have been soaked in blood.
    Blood remains absent.
Kratz got on Dr. Phil and tried to say the garage "lit up" after the application of luminol. Yet no mention of any luminol used in the bedroom? Where he supposedly cleaned so thoroughly? Where luminol would have undoubtedly lit that room up like a light show.
Was a murder weapon even obtained? What did he use to transport her body to the site where he remains were found? When did all of this take place? Why was the blood vial tampered with?
I expect all of these questions to be answered in this series, otherwise it's presenting nothing more than conjecture.
I have watched the first two episodes and so far it's just exposing his past behavior, before his wrongful conviction. The attempt here is to suggest that some of his shitty behavior was nothing but à ticking bomb waiting to go off, and Theresa Halbach was the victim.

Well, if you took a moment to look at the trial transcripts, it is all easily explained: Teresa was last seen/heard from Oct. 31. She was declared a missing person Nov. 3 - the day the cop, Colborn, got the call to be on the lookout for this missing girl. He was on duty, in uniform, in his patrol car. He got the call and scribbled it into his notes. Then he pulled over to confirm that he got the info right by calling the dispatcher. THAT'S how he knew the license plate.
It's all in the trial transcripts. Go ahead - look it up.
Funny that MaM somehow "forgot" to mention any of that.
Also funny that the dispatcher, Lynn, gives an instant answer when Colborn asks for the info - as if she were expecting the call. Looks very dodgy. Except that it didn't happen that way: Lynn spends about a minute with small talk, asking Colborn if he speaks Spanish and such, then she gives him the info.
MaM did some very "creative editing" there.
Once again, don't believe me - look it up.

Just saw the documentary few days ago. Wow. The initial 'making a murderer' series was an absolute tosh! If you going to make fiction based on true events just notify viewers at the beginning, cause then you have morons threatening lives of others over things that never happened. Steven's criminal profile absolutely puts him on high probability to commit this crime. Then evidence just seals it. Those, who watched this, and still believes he's innocent, need to drop out the tunnel vision. I know admitting you were wrong is hard, but it's a sign of strength not weakness. The only one I feel sorry for is the kid. He had no proper support from his family, nor legal team.

I was so confused and bewildered about the lack of information i was receiving watching making a murderer. I knew there was wayyyyy more to the story. Always is and always will be. No one ever said he was a good guy, but the fact that the detectives fed Brendan the story that they used to convict Steve is crazy. NO blood, NO hair, NO fingerprints of Teresa in Steven's home/garage, but they believed that he raped/stabbed/shot/tied her up and killed her in his garage. C'mon now, you gotta be pretty phucking stupid to believe that they cleaned up that garage.
Then he covered her car with a branch...it's laughable. How about when Wendy planted a bloody band-aid in Teresa's car? I bet you guys didn't hear about that. Now why TF would a cop go in and plant evidence after they had already arrested him and they had already found her bones? it's complete BS!!! The way they "found" the car keys. The way they checked the burn barrel, took it off site, brought it back and then magically found evidence is beyond ridiculous.
This was just pure corruption, but Candace is just going to talk about what kind of person Steven is, which is pointless. The man did 18 years in prison for a crime he didn't commit, and now he is doing life, so what's the point of trying to destroy his character further. Why doesn't she do a documentary about Brendan, and see how competent he is to stand trial.

    • @thebiowatchlist

Isn't it interesting that Avery had all that trouble with a cousin who was talking bad about him, the cops put him away for 17 years, then he gets out and gets put away again, there's a doc made by 2 women that paints him in another light and now there is another woman making ANOTHER documentary that paints him in a new, negative, light.
Anyone going to figure out that this is all just an endless story told by women about a guy who was a complete drunken moron when he was a kid seeing what they can get the world to do to him through their story?

Of course, the Netflix show was biased, but that doesn't mean Steven is guilty, or innocent. These later shows are also biased toward their political views, but their bias doesn't mean anything about guilt or innocence. The only thing either side shows for sure is that their god is politics and they are willing to sacrifice lives for those gods.

Your belief is based on personal background and not any kind of smoking gun findings. You have a hunch he did it. The reality is many people are fooled by narrative framing and that's what the purpose of this show is. The problem is they have their own framing going on here.

We have yet to learn what evidence or information was left out regarding Manitowoc police involvement in the case. It is to be determined. Framing is not something i particularly accuse The Daily Wire of doing. Of course they conservative leaning so they are going to view this case through that lens, but facts are facts and if things are left out, we have the right to know, and in my opinion the show makers of Netflix should be held accountable for omitting these facts.

I'm not saying she is wrong for bringing into question the legitimate reasoning behind the Netflix show, as i actually agree. How did 24 jury members and a judge still find him guilty after being given the evidence, yet the viewer thinks he is innocent per the producer of the film? I 100% believe they obly presented what they wantws you to see and not the full truth.

I wouldn't give as much stock to the jury verdict given it's in a small town in a sparsely populated area. If the family has reputation, that could cloud the judgement of a jury where everyone knows everyone. All directors/producers/editors show you what they want you to see, though, and it's no different from this documentary (although for me, I already know to give Owens a large grain of salt). As long as there is reasonable doubt, there really should be no conviction. Better to let the guilty free than to imprison the innocent. That should've been the lesson learned from the original conviction.
Personally, I think Owens is just trying to cash in on a perceived 'gravy train'. So be skeptical.

Your statement makes it sounds like the car was in the middle of the lot and the searchers went straight to it without looking at any other cars. That is the opposite of the truth, which is exactly what the MaM scum want you to think.
The searchers started at the entrance and looked thru all the cars in a straight path in the along one side and happened to find her car hidden in the corner after looking thru all the cars along the way. Anyone searching a large area works back and forth across gradually working your way down until the whole area is searched. Either searching E-W paths gradually moving N-S. Or N-S paths gradually working E-W. So there was a 50/50 chance they would start their search in the direction they did. Also, the car was hidden in the corner of the lot that had trees and brush that made it more secluded and would be an obvious spot to look for a vehicle that was hidden.
