I started playing mh recently and I figured that bazelgeuse was the most plane like enemy in the games. Turns out there's an actual fighter jet dragon. Great series.
This dragon is truly a marvel. Not only is it a jet plane dragon, but it's a jet plane dragon that can _slam into the ground at supersonic speeds_ and not only come out unscathed, but not leave any sort of crater. That means it can not only go from 0 to Mach 2 in mere seconds, but from Mach 2 to a near-full stop in a fraction of a second. The sheer G-forces from the start to the stop would pulverize almost anything else. It also has really good eyesight - it can spot a Ludroth swimming in open water from almost 30 miles up, and hit it with perfect accuracy, even accounting for the refraction and reflection of light on the water.
@@JanusHoWFollowing this logic, Risen Crimson Glow Valstrax had no reason to not aim his projectiles on the ambush attack. Imagine if each one of them was carefully aimed to land somewhere very near you, basically guaranteeing at least one hit?
@@athos9293 Crimson Glow Valstrax is in constant pain from its mutated/damaged Dragon sac - kinda hard to aim from that high when you're also trying to ignore the agony of having Dragon energy flowing through places it shouldn't be.
Ahaha imagine if Ace Combat make collaboration wt Monster Hunter, hunting down the Flying Wyvern and Flying Elder Dragon from Monster Hunter. Would be epic
I mean they had a kung fu fighting, lightning mosquito powered neon blue wolf-bear thing and his shad-ow the edge cousins, this is almost tame in comparaison
Yeah its weird, even for monster hunter, its still too weird. I mean, this is basically the first time i actually seen a jet powered non machine monster in action. Monster using nature element is not really surprising we actually have seen something like that before whether its in a game, tv or comic etc. But a non machine monster that have ability to fly with jet power? I can't recall anything like that.
Me when playing MHGU for the first time: ohhh! It looks so cool! I hope it wont be too hard to fight solo! Me after fighting him: yeah i feel like dying
To be fair, it's an elder dragon. The hunters don't know how it works, which means you can get away with some really weird designs, and just pin it on lack of knowledge on the hunter's part.
Between a jet dragon and giant horse that can control all four elements like the avatar, is why i absolutely love monster hunter. Also they got beaten by puny hunters carrying large boomsticks.
Rise's cutscene for CG was pretty cool. It was nice seeing it back but this is quintessential material to really get what this monster is all about. Soaring through the skies, a cut to its jet engine wings as it soars, looking for prey like an eagle. When it spots its prey it dives down, snaps like a properly working claw machine, and zips away with nobody even realizing what happened. It soars at max speed, clearing the clouds way, reaching the peak of its mountain home in seconds, drops its prey down and does a proper pose like it doesn't do this every other day. Yes, we all watched the video but I'm honestly kinda amazed at just how well one can sell something in the span of 40 seconds. I love this cutscene.
imagine being able to tame this beast, ride on its back, and roaring high into the sky in mach 2 from the ground up able to disperse an attack just by doing a supersonic flyby, boy you'd be unbeatable
A Jet Dragon!? What else a Tank now!? Lol. I love fighting these monsters in Monster Hunter it really proves the skills of a single hunter. Alone strong, Together Stronger
Well, if the Capcom cutscene team could take care of it, maybe we wouldn't get ultra-realistic graphics. But we would get something MUCH better. A majestic movie with In-game areas, crap tones of monsters, and pure monster hunter style. That's what we wanted, but we got a crap movie that should be called "Soldiers VS Monsters" instead of "Monster Hunter". It's not even close to this franchise (well, we got monsters in it at least).
This is why you don't choose between console and handheld, you play BOTH. Console gets the pretty graphics and intricate mechanics. Handhelds gets the fun experimental stuff. Like a jet fighter.
Fun fact: the Japanese name for Valstrax is Valfalk, which is the word Valhalla and Hawk combined. Capcom loves mixing words together to make a name lol
It was Valor and Falcon. The design of valstrax was based on the fastest living animal the Preregrine Falcon which in turn inspired the creation of Jet Engines.
I can’t even comprehend how hunters can fight this lol, unless he’s asleep or something because frankly if he wants to leave there isn’t anything they can do to stop it. In fact if it wants to do what it just did to those fish to hunters well.. how?!? The fk lol
the thing is if according to the LAWS OF PHYSICS if valfalk rammed into ANYTHING at full speed it would be melted by the sheer force alone and we know that its scales are evolved for maximum impact of roughly 60ish PSI (and this is only counting the BASE form)
You know I'm surprised people haven't tried making something similar based off valstrax like I'm sure mh engineers could figure out some kind of dragon energy powered system so they could actually have fast transport instead of flying around in wingdrakes
I really wanna know just what sort of evolutionary demand that dictate the necessity to evolve into having a jet engine for wings because we could use one of those.

Based on the lore it could make sense for Valtrax to be in the new world but sadly I don't think capcom has any major updates for MHW in plan.
