- With TU5, we finally reached the final risen elder dragon in monster hunter sunbreak; Risen Shagaru Magala Vs Risen Crimson Glow Valstrax. Who is the stronger and better ELDER; time to find out in this epic Turf War.
Note:
All Monsters have lowered HP (keep fight length reasonable).
All other stats are all based on default values provided by Capcom
We also take no responsibility for any unusual A.I behaviour, as these are variables we cannot adjust.
These fights are not to be taken seriously and are not based on Monster Hunter Lore, I simply make them for people to watch and enjoy.

5:08-5:35 was one of the coolest things I’ve seen in these vs matches. Both transform and immediately clash with their ultimate moves.
The fact that Risen Shagaru still attacked Valstrax's dead body just makes the ending more entertaining for me, its like he just hates Valstrax.
Or dispizes him to a degree that got me thinking they had a brawl before they both bacame Risen elders...

And it finally happened.
The Magala's finally got one over Valstrax. It only took them being afflicted by a blood parasites virus and using all their strength to overcome it. It was a very good fight that went back and forth a lot.
@Im the Catman I just had a sneaky feeling these two would be really good rivals when I saw their fighting styles and the fight itself really lived up to that expectation.
Tbf they've mostly been fighting the variant who's core is on constant overdrive so they aren't exactly on equal terms
they are equal strength. It was so close that if we remade a match, valstrax could win

10:48 That Laser at the end had pure rage in it, probably Risen Shagaru's way of saying :"This is for all the times you killed my Brothers!"
All in all, absolutley incredible fight, both having the highest DPS in the entire game. Risen Valstrax was finally put in its place.

This fight really was the best fight you've managed to record as of yet. It could have gone either way, but I'm happy my boy Shagaru pulled through in the final stretch.

Hot damn. That was without a shadow of a doubt the closest fight you've done on this channel BY FAR.
At different points in time I found myself second guessing who would win every five damn minutes. Both of them were just....equal. Both had the ability to clap the other at the end there, but Rizzen Shaggy managed to pull through. Ngl I though Rizzen Valstrax was going to defeat him at the end due to the amount of times he was flinching Rizzen Shaggy as well as the damage he was dishing out, but somehow Rizzen Shaggy Magala, that absolute menace, managed to pull through. 10/10 fight, hands down.
@Khaleel Morris Thanks, it was really tense near the end there. They both have the fire power to really punish eachother it was just a matter of who landed the dangerous moves quicker.

That final combo Shagaru performed on the downed Valstrax was savage!
Gotta concur with everyone that the 5 minute mark where both became Risen AND used their ultimate attacks at the same time was absolutely amazing! And it seems that the king has finally been toppled once and for all! But of course, we al know the true king has yet to claim his throne, for Risen Shagaru Magala has never faced the might of SEETHING BAZELGEUSE.
We need a fight with all five Risen elder dragons at the same time (assuming it doesn't crash whatever engine you're on).

I'm glad Shagaru won this considering he lost to crimson glow in his base form. Also imagine fighting these two in the same quest. just pure pain

Wow. There was absolutely no breathing room in this fight. Spectacle after spectacle. Also I love the fact that R.Shagaru had a whole combo planned out for whenever RCG Val got knocked down.

Holy shit, that was actually really intense.
At first, it seemed like Shagaru had a general advantage, as he had quite the health lead, but after the two of them transformed, it became a genuine toss-up as to who would win. I was cheering for Shag (I love them both, but Shag holds a special place in my heart); I thought he was done for at the end, but then he got that clutch stun and kicked Val's ass. That was a genuinely epic fight.
This is an apocalyptic battle.
Man, was really hoping RCGV would clutch. Great matchup!

Thanks for the video. I just confirmed that AI doesn't dodge attacks. BTW, I think Shagaru won because it recovers from everything faster than Valstrax, like knockdown, its own attack's openings, non-risen status, etc. Valstrax still seems designed for human foes by leaving enough opening after each attack, while Shagaru's pace is on another level.

Thanks a lot. This is the fight I dreamed of! A rematch between Shagaru and Valstracs. As expected, the fight turned out to be tense, but I'm glad that Shagaru was able to win, he clearly deserved it and became my favorite MHRise monster. Thanks again for this fight!

These 2 dragons are my favorite fights in the game and have been the ones I have been fighting the most on the road to 300 at 285 now. Going to get there before starting Zelda TOTK looks like that will be a few hours of gaming.
This fight was intense from start to finish, particular highlight for me was when Valstrax triggered its ambush and dive bombed into Shagaru’s explosion! If Valstrax didn’t get knocked over at the end I reckon it would of won! Excellent fight as always 😁

Awesome fight👏🏿 Tbh, it seemed that Valstrax with the "stick and move" way of fighting would have been enough to get the W, but Shagaru just tanked like damn near every attack and just had enough brute force to be the victor💪🏿

I am stunned these two were so close. I imagine if shagaru had had just one decent stun, or had to take a second round the world, this would have gone to Valstrax. I like that's despite being different in the powerscale by a fair bit, they're still very close

SPOILERS: I’ve been left in a stupor by the most ridiculous Risen-state synchronization( 5:08 ) I’ve ever witnessed. This is what ascension feels like, isn’t it?
Shagaru seems to have obtained a just wide-enough range of AoE’s to match Valstrax’s more constant output, and I’ll just say that Shagaru’s been waiting for this rematch(and his claim to victory) for the better part of 6 months now.
And to think that this wasn’t even their A9 or Special Investigation versions… Gonna agree with what someone else here’s already stated and hope no one will ever have to end up fighting any two Risen Elder Dragons at once, especially these two!
I actually didn’t expect something like this to be shadow-dropped so soon after the announcement of members’ exclusive weekly fights.
…I swear I was hallucinating when I saw this video disappear from that playlist of Sapphire Star matches I gaze upon occasionally not even 5 minutes after I first checked it today.
@•Xulxi• Yeah this rematch was hugely anticipated since the first fight and annoucement of risen elders and I gotta say it defo lived up to the expectation, with how much back and forth we saw during the fight.
Shagaru's biggest improvement for me was it's AOE and speed, which often time just feels really unrealistic.
Yeah their next and final rematch will be insane thats for sure!
I know it's off topic but have you ever wondered if capcom puts an Event Quest in the game in which you have to hunt all the risen monsters at once, as if it were a final test. I shiver just thinking about it. Anyway, a magnificent fight between two of the most aggressive monsters I've ever faced.

Fun fact:
Did you know, that in a game called Rockman/Megaman X DiVE, they had 3 collaborations with MHR. On the 2nd Collab, they released Crimson Valstrax Zero, then on the 3rd they released Shagaru Armor X. It's funny how the thumbnail says they're the perfect rivals, since Taiwan Capcom had two rivals from a separate franchise have these 2 elder dragon's powers.
That was a nailbiter. You could NOT tell who was about to win until the last unrising. Shagaru, even with all its aggression, still has NO poise to speak of and too much wind up to comfortably deal with a consistent attacker like Crimson Glow, yet it also has the multihit attacks that churn through any monster. That first double rise followed immediately by a clash of the ultimate attacks was beyond epic!
But our eternal beloved rival from 4U still prevails. Still, in a DPS race, they were NEAR EXACTLY EVEN by the end! Shagaru survived with 1,695 health. If they both had started from 34,310 and did exactly the same thing as shown here, Shagaru would have only won with 5 HP and a dream!!!
@Sapheiorus With how close the fight was and the back and forth throughout the fight, I think it's fitting that they are "Perfect rivals" to one another.
Also your right if they had equal fight, it would have been an even more tense finish 😬
Man I was waiting for one more dive bomb from Valstrax to end it all, but man I knew Shag was win, he doesn’t disappoint.

I think the deciding factor was that Shagaru could go risen the instant it gets up, Crimson needs to be in his charged state to do so.
That and the slight Hp advantage gave Shagaru the win.

Seriously tho, that finisher by Shaggy was brutal; he wasted no time into killing the downed Velma with all his rage he kept since his first fight, non-risened.
Although I'm upset Val lost, I'm kinda glad he lost to Shagaru. Truly a worthy adversary for the rocket powered elder dragon.
