- An all-electric Golf. Eco nirvana, right?
Yes, actually. In more ways than one. Mark shows you why.

Another bang on review. This channel over the last 6 months has become best review site on UA-cam. Great work.
It's an amazing car (got mine in May). The quietness is hard to describe, it's just so damn refined, and the instant power at 30mph is crazy push you back in seat
You guys crack me up.......Comedy and cars. I LOVE THIS CHANNEL!!
Cheers all.
The price list says the digital instrument display (Active Info Display) is a £499 option, not included as standard.
Bloody good review and funny keep up the humor....I too think the future's leccy but think they'll need to sort the charging time and distance but no doubt that'll come. And as said below, top gear should employ you you're miles better than the current muppets
Love this channel. I’m amazed there aren’t more subscribers!!!!
Order May 2018 - receive early 2019. That's about the same as every other EV your average English person might want to buy.
Tis a nice hotch hatch to be fair. Takes too long to charge though
Is the digital instrument display standard? Not sure it is
Why is this reviewer not on Top gear -- brilliant
What's the song playing at 1:20 to 1:50 and also is used in several other of your videos? Thanks
when vw makes a 300hp with 600+km electric range, that will be spectacular... faster than the R, silent, extra long range... maybe in 20 years I'll get one...
Tesla now has a Model X and S with over 500 hp, about 480 km of range and most, if not all, Tesla owners are very happy. No need to wait. Besides, Tesla offers free Superchargers. Convinced?
*Wrong, **_The SALES of ICE Engined vehicles_** is 2040 and their use is permissible long after that date. It's not going to be at Midnight 31/12/2039 that all ICE cars are not 'allowed' on the roads. Seems to me at present a better choice would be the GTE (Hybrid) with up to 30 miles on pure electric. EV has a very long way to go, however 20 years is a long time.*
*Convinced afraid not Model X **_FROM £83,700_** and Model S **_FROM £75,500_** -£87 k - Very rich men's toys.*
Great review. Liking the humour too.
When you use brake regeneration do the brake lights come on?
Because I'd worry that traffic behind you won't know your slowing until they're in the car with you.
They don't. It's not quite strong enough - BMW i3 braking effect is stronger.
I have a 2011 Nissan Leaf and the brake light is not activated by deceleration and I have never had an accident. Do you realize that ALL rear end crashes in other cars happen IN SPITE of the brake lights? Cheers.

Really? That's an exception to the e-Golf then. Afaik all other EVs turn on their break lights! 😅
Love your reviews
I drive an R, but with a guilty conscience. I think it's between this and a Tesla Model 3 for my next car.
Brilliant revue.
VW website says coming soon,
When's it available to buy?
It became available about a week ago :-)
45 minutes to rapid charge. This will definitely catch on.
my like for such as nice intro.
Great inserts. Subbed.
Thank you.
When can i buy one??
Is your idol andy carrol ?
It's Liam Neeson in Star Wars.
It's Depeche Mode Enjoy the silence - I believe that's where the bing bong came from hactually.
z00h Different key, my friend. :-)
That's what VW claim, they even made an ad for their e-range using enjoy the silence as a theme.
nah, it's DM "Personal Jesus" - awesome
Best car reviews on UA-cam!
Is Mark a footballer???
League One at best...
With so many tattoos he should be on the premier league!!!
Just not viable until the range hits 300+ miles
an electric car should be also basic specked
the real world distance it can do no good! bit like there diesels :(
Takes 3 days to drive London to Glasgow 😂😂😂
But think of all the marvellous service station cuisine you'd be able to enjoy. :-)
Scott, take the train instead but this car will, in effect, drive the 365 miles a few hours longer than a petrol/diesel car but about 80% cheaper. On top of that, zero emissions. :)
