If you only have (dry) food available and no drinks and considering that it's easier to die of thirst than from starvation, I always thought it would be wiser to leave the food and drink your own urine. Salts are excreted through urine and if you continue to consume salts through food, the salt content in your urine will eventually become so concentrated that you will die of thirst just by drinking it. Not saying you didn't mean it positively, but just in case, here's a little breakdown of what selfishness means in the context of decision making. If your family is very important to you and you want them to enjoy themselves more than whatever other alternatives you have, then it would be selfish to facilitate their enjoyment. Selfishness is a very misunderstood concept that is usually applied wrongly(?) in cases of egomania. Helping others is selfish more often than not. Being a teacher or donating to a charity is usually done because you value what you do. Not because you a ethically obligated. That's what teachers are. They are selfish. They teach others because they love doing that. I personally love teaching and have been a tutor many times without pay because I simply wanted to and found it extremely fun. People don't help others because they believe in the idea of helping others being the right ethical choice (most of the time). Helping others selflessly is idiotic because it has no rational referent in reality. It's an ethically fallacious decision because altruism as a leading ethic (sadly the leading ethic in most of the world) is fundamentally fallacious. It has no basis outside of faith (why is sacrificing values for others' sake the right choice? The answer is always "because it is" and not because there is an actual reason - there isn't). Always be rationally selfish. Always do what you value the most. If it's to play a video game or help a friend in need, ultimately the best choice is the selfish one. The one you value the most. And if you value your friends, helping them would usually take precedent and you will be extremely happy with your choice because the value gained is greater than the one from the video game. Sometimes it's the opposite. Introspect and refer back to past decisions to be able to make choices faster and see if they were indeed the right ones. As for the video, it deals with indecisions usually lead by perfectionist mindsets. If there is no clear cut choice and it would take too long to make a decision, just flip a coin or go with what's good enough. Read "The Paradox of Choice" for more on that topic. Your drinking to eating ratio based on the average human metabolism and statistics gathered from SAS survival training activities is roughly 4.5/1, that is for every 4 and one half rations of water you should consume one ration of food. Use these numbers to determine your priority based on the last food or water ration you had taken.
Logic traps and paradoxes known as decision theory. Where the logically most optimal / best choice can be the most irrational and worst choice just by matter of how we think and where impeccable logic becomes irrational decision making just by existing. Really interesting really :).
I think the minimum grains of sand to make a heap is 4. By definition, a heap is "an untidy collection of objects placed haphazardly on top of each other." This requires at least 2 levels, one on top of the other. The top layer will have one element. The bottom needs to provide a stable foothold, which we all know is made of 3 contact points minimum. This setup will also provide a heapy conical shape So 4
Honestly, the goblin man has me roped in with his promise to protect government officials from all sexual assault allegations. Not only that but his idea to separate people based on IQ really struck me as a good idea.

Farmed animals also feel pain and it's cruel to hurt them. Pigs, for example, are gassed in a way that suffocates them while burning their eyes, throat, and mouth. They scream in pain and thrash about to eventually pass out. Then they have their throats slit. This is how we get bacon and pork. So maybe we should just eat more plant-based food instead.

my family's the complete opposite I've been trying to voice disagreement with literally everything they do and they just don't care and drag me along with their decisions that I never agreed to anyways
their is probably a paradox that says that I should exist, but here I am now...
VSauce uploads... you drop everything and watch
Jeez, who had "Whang and Zach as guests in a Vsauce video" on their "weird 2020 stuff" bingo card?
I had Whang and Zach Anner. So close.
I did. For all my squares. I have ultra bingo right now. Still waiting for my ultra bingo prize.
I had Ron Jeremy and Mark-Paul Gosselaar. So close.
Wasn't sure if I should have liked or shared this video. So I just did both, don't regret.
Dang this video hit deep, thanks kevin.
Whang wasn't my first choice, but there's no way I'm letting Pebbles have another term after "the incident"
You mean the largest shooting in history that was carried out by a goblin, that Pebbles EVEN NOW refuses to comment on?
Sshhhh!! We don't mention the... *Looks both directions and whispers* the incident.
"Fighting to the death sounds bad. But I do like cheese"
I'm trying to work out what the first question was about
“hey vsauce”
“*i havent eaten in days*”
Micheall. Hel p
My loins are sweating with love for both
EDIT: I still don’t know what this is about but I’m glad I can have a “favorite vs favorite” as opposed to candidates today where it is “choose the lesser evil”
Your drinking to eating ratio based on the average human metabolism and statistics gathered from SAS survival training activities is roughly 4.5/1, that is for every 4 and one half rations of water you should consume one ration of food. Use these numbers to determine your priority based on the last food or water ration you had taken.

You've probably been waiting this video to comment for four years.
that's ironic not paradoxical

Logic traps and paradoxes known as decision theory. Where the logically most optimal / best choice can be the most irrational and worst choice just by matter of how we think and where impeccable logic becomes irrational decision making just by existing. Really interesting really :).

I think the minimum grains of sand to make a heap is 4.
By definition, a heap is "an untidy collection of objects placed haphazardly on top of each other."
This requires at least 2 levels, one on top of the other. The top layer will have one element. The bottom needs to provide a stable foothold, which we all know is made of 3 contact points minimum. This setup will also provide a heapy conical shape
So 4
you can make a heap with just 2 by that definition, a smaller grain of sand on top of a larger grain of sand

Honestly, the goblin man has me roped in with his promise to protect government officials from all sexual assault allegations. Not only that but his idea to separate people based on IQ really struck me as a good idea.
IQ is a terrible measure of intelligence
I have always wondered about this and it feels so good to finally have a logical answer, I've never understood why competitors were so close to each other, like, wtf? Now I get it, what a relief lol!
My advice when faced with a decision: flip a coin and be right half the time, better odds than agonizing over it will get you.
I just choose based on alphabetical order.
Sociologically, you're supposed to flip the coin, and while the coin is in the air, you will already know what you want, and no longer have to rely on the coin-flip.

@@tannerman46 a lot of your plant based foods are still alive when you eat them. They may not have pain receptors or brains but how can you definitively say they aren't suffering?
Edit: Also, why advocate for the adoption of veganism or vegetarianism instead of more humane slaughterhouses?

It’s amazing how this guy can make the most simple question soo complicated
So thats why glow squid won over iceologer。
no, iceologer's loss was caused because of multiple rounds allowing moobloom and glow squid voters to team up to prevent a possible 2nd phantom. solution: passive and hostile mobs need seperate votes

What is with Zach's obsession with Thunderdome-style death match events?
He’s looking for someone to finally end his streak
If that doesn't scream fun for whole family to you then I don't know what is
He joined the cult of jeff bandelun and also appreciates his love of the thunderdome
Definitely have fallen victim to the Abilene Paradox. I made some baguettes that were really good and offered the last one to someone else to be polite, saying, "I'll eat it if you dont."
"Okay I guess I'll eat it," she said, and I could tell she didnt want it, she just didnt want it go to waste. If only she knew how much I wanted it, haha. Lose-lose for both of us :(

We need a six star system. For too long now we've been using a 5 star system as a way of knowingly putting content creators, 'in their place,' as UA-cam big wigs put it. Everyone gets 5 stars. 5 stars is a participation trophy in this millennial america. "Wow...thanks for clicking on the only option you had."
6 STARS however. Wow now that's something there isn't it? With 6 stars, a whole additional star over 5 that is, we could finally begin to both differentiate between and appreciate the REAL content creators and the layabouts. And we like showing our hardworking content creators just how much we appreciate them, yes?

I’m just here for the Zach cameo. 100% worth it
I'm just worried Zach would center his policy around the game CROC.
"I saw the little creatures in cages and I thought hey, that's not so bad".
The gap between his "right?" And "wrong!" is decreasing 👀
Eat because there is probably water in the bagel bites
Unless you burned them until they were 100%dry
"Eat or drink?!"
Ummm they're right in front of you, right? Why don't you just take both?
Bagel bites are a childhood treat but Mountain Dew is the epic gamer drink. Tough choice

One time I was at Wawa and I saw Zach, Tomar, and Jaxxi. I went over to say hi and shook their hands, but when I got into Tomar's grip he pulled me hard and threw me into Zach. Zach started screeching and then Jaxxi looked me in the eyes and Tomar saw it. Tomar started hitting her and Zach's screaming gave me goosepimples all over my body.
