This movie was awesome on so many levels, but, IMHO, the Matt Murdock cameo was even bigger than the Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield cameos, because it ties the Netflix Marvel shows to the movies, and now Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage are all fair game to appear in the MCU! Just saw the movie today and I had to come check out Tony’s review. The movie was amazing. It was so awesome seeing Tobey, Andrew and Tom swinging side by side. Pretty sure my soul left my body Dr. Strange style 😂
Loved the movie. Hated how Dr. Strange continued to blame others, specifically Peter, for his own mistakes. He scolded Peter for jumping to magic to solve his problems, but Peter can't cast magic. So, Dr. Strange ALSO failed to ask any probing questions before just jumping into magic. THIS is why he should stay fired as Sorcerer Supreme. He's so irresponsible.
This is part of the reason why i can't give the movie a perfect score, its writing choices like this that annoy me. There could have been smarter choices leading up to Dr Strange doing the spell, and then his reactions after were just so out of character. Still like him, but maybe not as much in the spiderman film.
Yea I really wasn’t understanding that. I felt like at the end Dr. Strange would realize he was equally to blame but he put the blame on a high school kid with such certainty
When the MIT woman started in on Dock Ock, someone in my theater just went 'black women won't hesitate to tell you how much you f###ed up' and everybody cracked up. Lmao

Yo Tone! You made a good point about the college recruiter lady, I was bugged out by that too! Do you think the people of the marvel universe are kinda used to the heroes saving the day? Cause as I’m thinking about it, they be real casual when they interact with the heroes or get saved by them…
In real life, there are ppl that would have reached like her. Some ppl can "save" their reactions until they get somewhere physically safe for them or with someone they feel safe with.
I pretty much agree with your whole ranking Tony! The only difference with my ranking is that I put spider verse into number two and Spider-Man 2 is number 3 but that's the only difference spot on!
The amount of dopamine release we all experienced from watching this movie should be illegal😂 Much Love Tony, Condolences on your loss, keep up with these reviews and the "CRAAMM"😭
One thing I disagree with, Dr. Strange had NO RIGHT to blame that issue on Peter. HE is the magic expert. HE didn't explain the consequences of the spell before he started. Peter had to edit on the spot. PLUS DR. STRANGE didn't ask the logical question to the 17 year old going through bad PR for the first time. Did you reach out to them? HOW OLD IS DR. STRANGE?? Get real, he was just excited to do the spell. I'll take my seat though. I loved the movie, saw it twice opening weekend.
The cameos and crossovers were Crazy in this movie!!! Great movie but I was not happy with the ending, it was so sad to see Peter alone.....I wonder how they're gonna continue this story line of Spiderman. Is Flash going to be the next Venom, like in the comics? And will MJ and Ned ever remember who Spiderman really is?!!
When I saw Spider-Man into the spider-verse I knew the 3rd Spider-Man movie was going to have the multiverse too but I was hoping they would introduce Miles Morales into Marvel
I think Tom will be a mentor to Miles. Also the age of Uncle Aaron played by Gambino places Miles at like 5 or 7 in the MCU. I think Tom will have to age up a bit before Miles becomes Spider-Man.
Big ups Tony great review and I feel you on the Aunt May scene was deep, but I gotta say I wish the stakes were a bit higher before he went to Dr Strange…. Like all this because his friends couldn’t get into college 🤦🏾♂️….anyway my ranking is - Spider-Man:Homecoming - Spider-Man: into the Spider-verse - Spider-Man:Far from Home - Spider-Man:No Way Home - The Amazing Spider-Man - Spider-Man 1 - Spider-Man 2 - The Amazing Spider-Man 2 - Spider-Man 3
I really enjoyed this movie (already saw it twice) - but yoooo, Dr. Strange activates a spell that can shatter the fabric of reality without taking 2 minutes to tell Peter how it works?? Big trash. But the movie had to happen so I guess I'll let it slide lol SPOILERS LOVED seeing DareDevil - that brick catch scene make me squeal! The 3 spiders were perfection - the "cool youth pastor" quip got me, as did seeing them thwip in unison, and Andrew catching MJ. SO much good stuff! Sony was smart - now they have negotiating power with Disney because they wiped the board clean of all Marvel stuff (no more suit, no more marvel connection, no more Avengers).
Gah this was good and the movie was unreal good!!!! Only thing I think was also cool was Andrew-Peter saving MJ that was dope and redeeming for him I think. Thanks for review awesome as always!!!
Clicked this review soon as I got the notification. Loved the film and will be going to see it again. OAN: I am in the small minority I see. I cannot understand why so many ppl put Raimi Spiderman 2 in such high regard. I just don't see it. Outside of that train fight.
I'm glad you included Into the Spider-Verse in your ranking and even in the top three. For me, I'm not sure where I'd rank those three (ITSV was first before this, but now it might be a toss-up between that and NWH), but overall, I think our list is pretty close.

This was a good time, I think I'm going again on Christmas eve/Christmas. I really enjoyed the surprises- there were some things I was like mm..kay. I am upset about Marvel with these trailers. Stop showing us so much! WE'RE GOING TO COME. Thanks Tony!❤🍞❤🍞
I 😍 loved it, glad to be able to comment like the old days
The best Spider-Man movie ever!!!! To me, perfection done
Totally agree on the college recruiter part! Too calm!
Lol you forgot to mention Murdock/DD
Uncle Tony.. You the BEST” at this reviewing ting. Blessings to you & yours from the UK 🇬🇧 via Jamaica 🇯🇲 & Grenada 🇬🇩. Hotep!👊🏿🤴🏿👊🏿
I pretty much agree with your whole ranking Tony! The only difference with my ranking is that I put spider verse into number two and Spider-Man 2 is number 3 but that's the only difference spot on!
Always come for the smooth jazz review
electro: there has to be a black spider-man out there
thumbnail: oh you have no idea!
Aye!! I been looking forward to this review! 🍿👀🥤
Definitely the best Spider-Man movie out
I thought about you doing this review, as soon as I left the theatre.
Same!
Before I even watch the review I just got to say this is easily top five best marvel films I got it top three
Your ranking is exactly like mine. Great review!
Also big constructions give them plenty of places to web too.
Boy, I've been waiting on this review.
Walking out of the theater, my daughter and I were saying “Tony is going to love this too”.
Glad you back fam !
The cameos and crossovers were Crazy in this movie!!! Great movie but I was not happy with the ending, it was so sad to see Peter alone.....I wonder how they're gonna continue this story line of Spiderman. Is Flash going to be the next Venom, like in the comics? And will MJ and Ned ever remember who Spiderman really is?!!
my husband just said this to me!!
i missed your recaps Mr Baker. Welcome Back.
Could not wait for this review!!!! Grab the popcorn 🍿
Meet me in the trap 😂😂😂😂😂
So sorry about ur son big bro. Glad to see you back .
The fan service was EVERYTHING.
When I saw Spider-Man into the spider-verse I knew the 3rd Spider-Man movie was going to have the multiverse too but I was hoping they would introduce Miles Morales into Marvel
I'm sure they're teasing it when Max thought Peter was black cause he was from Queens
I think Tom will be a mentor to Miles. Also the age of Uncle Aaron played by Gambino places Miles at like 5 or 7 in the MCU. I think Tom will have to age up a bit before Miles becomes Spider-Man.
I’m sure eventually they’ll introduce him but not anytime soon. I think it’ll be after the next Tom holland trilogy
Big ups Tony great review and I feel you on the Aunt May scene was deep, but I gotta say I wish the stakes were a bit higher before he went to Dr Strange…. Like all this because his friends couldn’t get into college 🤦🏾♂️….anyway my ranking is
- Spider-Man:Homecoming
- Spider-Man: into the Spider-verse
- Spider-Man:Far from Home
- Spider-Man:No Way Home
- The Amazing Spider-Man
- Spider-Man 1
- Spider-Man 2
- The Amazing Spider-Man 2
- Spider-Man 3
30+ min spider man review. Wow it’s really Christmas.
I really enjoyed this movie (already saw it twice) - but yoooo, Dr. Strange activates a spell that can shatter the fabric of reality without taking 2 minutes to tell Peter how it works?? Big trash. But the movie had to happen so I guess I'll let it slide lol
SPOILERS
LOVED seeing DareDevil - that brick catch scene make me squeal!
Yooo you're right! Sony did good. They can go anywhere they want with Spiderman now. Hopefully rated R. Please!
if so I see Venom being introduced to this spider-man universe in a more rated r version if that’s the case 🤞🏻
Fantastic review TB aka Review McGee. Garfield’s performance was amazing. You are Amazing!!! Did you catch that when Toby gave him his props
