Tails and Classic thinks that modern Sonic is dead, so they fight in the shadows don't knowing that Modern it's alive. And Modern Sonic works with the others not knowing that Classic it's there. Imagine.

omg I thought this was just gonna be a metal sonic reskin but this is actually kinda cool
another thing I gotta add: IM SO PROUD OF THIS COMMUNITY FOR ACTUALLY USING A MODEL THAT LOOKS AS GOOD AS THE CUTSCENES ONE!! Especially given that the cutscenes one is nowhere in the actual code itself
I thought the same but I was pleasantly surprised, I wonder if the whole game will be modded to this extent
I think that's because the cutscenes that don't have your original character in them are pre-rendered. To lessen the load of the game itself. Chaos doesn't appear in the code because he's literally just in a pre rendered cutscene. His only purpose is a nullified one

I'm honestly really happy and honored to have made the new remix heard in this mod. Chaos 0's reveal was extremely huge for me personally, so when I saw this update coming around, I wanted to play a part in making it the best it could be. Really excited to try the mod out myself sometime soon, everyone did an amazing job on this project!

This is legitimately really well made! It's missing some very minor things like the boss health meter and could use some slight improvements visual effects-wise, but it's pretty impressive for a mod - I hope we'll continue seeing cool mods like this made for Forces going forward. I also really like the music, it being a remix of Chaos' boss theme from Adventure mixed with Open Your Heart was a great touch. Now *that* is how you do a callback.

I really don't understand why tails can't fight chaos himself, he fought chaos 4 and he can't even try chaos 0.
Because sega really wants to put the spotlight to sonic and make the other characters stupid so he looks cool

Tails 20 years ago: *bravely fights and defeats Chaos 4*
Tails now when he fights Chaos 0: “sOnIc, hElP mE!!1!”
it has never been confirmed who actually fought and defeated chaos 4 since sonic,knuckles, and tails apparently fought chaos at the same time
And dont forget to mention when he saved station sqaure aswell and also had the balls to invade prison island to save sonic.

What I have to say: this modded fight is great, the way they implement a type of 3D with classic sonic going in a circle is awesome. The beginning part with rails flying away is cool. The boss battle itself is awesome and the fact that they were able to get or make the chaos 0 model is really really cool. I really wish sonic forces had more to it than just really really bad 2d sections and physics

@@chaoschannel3428 I'm pretty sure the mod creators made their own model, according to the guy who made the theme for the fight. (ua-cam.com/video/eLxq9rI6mIU/v-deo.html) I might be misinterpreting what the description said, though. Best do your own research.
Everything from the soundtrack to the model to the setting to the mechanics used, it's all way too good to be just a simple mod, but it's insane how far people go when they're really passionate about something
i'd hate to be a downer, but this didn't really have "passion" put into it. it was more a case of "look how much better we are then Sega." not to mention the team behind this mod is suppose to be working on another mod they've hyped for months and it's still not out.

If only fans could mod in new cutscenes somehow; imagine some talented SFM animators recreating this scene so instead tails gets ready to fight instead of cower in fear.
It can still go the same way but instead of "Sonic save me!" It's replaced with something like "I can do this, all by myself. Like Sonic!" which classic sonic runs in, as if he heard tails call his name; rather than beg for help.

At this point Tails had already taken out Chaos 4, no reason for Tails to be afraid of little ol Chaos 0. The writers did Tails wrong here.

Funny how Tails was able to defeat Chaos 4, while he's also scared of an illusion of Chaos 0.

@@GlitchanBlack Tbh he does make a fair point, I can understand the perception based because tbh tails story feels like one big fan fiction of tails getting the glory and defeating the big bad doctor from blowing up the whole city. But yeah it has been shown in multiple games that Tail’s can fight so i don’t understand the instant cowering in fear.

Took me a while but I realized that there was an open your heart remix! Pretty cool touch knowing that chaos came from sonic adventure
The actual fact that there's a Open Your Heart remix in the background says a lot about the good side of the sonic community.

I love how this boss takes longer to defeat than the late game bosses
I don't wanna sound negative broken record but why is it that the fans gotta do what Sonic Team was supposed to do from the very beginning? Now I hope that they can make a boss fight with Shadow as well cause he's left out as well. Man that false advertising trailer still bothers me to this day.
Because Sega is afraid of upsetting critics and haters, so they try to appeal to them! Fans, on the other hand, simply focus on making something that's fun!

Yeah the game's marketing was really awful in hindsight. I still remember them having to run damage control on the original teaser because it made it look like a sequel to Generations.

The only complaint I have is that the waterfalls don’t hurt you, but other then that, it’s incredible, and should’ve been in the game from the start.

I’m glad you included you taking damage. When people show off these mods and breeze through it, kinda makes it look like a cakewalk with no challenge.
The actual boss fight from a mechanics perspective is basically perfect, all it needs are some extra animations and some better sound design (he should make a unmissable noise when you actually hit him) and it’ll be as quality as something triple A

This does remind me of a 4chan post a while back regarding a boss battle that was cut from a game because it riddled with bugs that Sonic Team couldn't - or wouldn't, as they inmplied - deal with. I doubt its true - you never know with 4chan - but thats what came to mind anyway. Again, splendid job!

Amazing boss fight especially the soundtrack
Now that was a thing of beauty. You know, I was so excited when I learned that Chaos was going to appear in this but was disappointed they didn’t give him a boss battle. They gave one to Zavok, Metal, two for Infinite, gave Shadow his own story, and a final boss with Eggman but no Chaos. That and how hard the double boost is are the only things I would change about this game, that come to mind.
It’s incredible that this is an entirely original boss fight, I was convinced this was a restored version of a scrapped boss battle
So glad someone did this. Chaos 0 deseerved a boss fight.

Actually... This looks unbelievably impressive. It's crazy that a fan put in this much work.
Looking back at it... what was even the point of Chaos being in the game if you weren't going to at least have a boss fight? This is how the game should have been from the start and it's so annoying that fans have to do this work ourselves. Good stuff to everyone who worked on this, definitely going to be trying this out for myself tonight.

Incredible stuff from everyone involved. All it needs is a boss health meter and for sonic and tails to hold their poses doing nothing at the end of the fight for a full 10 seconds before cutting to the results screen and then it'll really feel like part of the game!
This is really amazing mod. An actual fight for Chaos and a great remix. Now all that's needed is a Shadow boss fight for modern Sonic.
This is an amazing concept. There could be other stuff that could be added I think, like projectiles that come from the ground and try to hit sonic

Chaos is one of my favorite bosses from the sonic series. It hurt so much when forces came out and he was just used as a cash grab to get the attention of adventure fans. This fan made boss battle for him really put a smile on my face :)
If there's anything I could ask for, it's the attack where he stretches his arm to attack, always have been a fan of that move for some reason
