Thanks for the video. I ordered the same lights for my 2020 RAM 1500 Bighorn and they are a lot brighter and look way better. I replaced the low beams, high beams, turning signals and the fog lights. Your video really helped me out with the install! I really appreciate your time to make this video.
It’s actually easier to remove the bolts on the fender liners and reach up through the fender to get the low beams. They will be a lot less panting and cursing especially if you have larger hands.
Honestly I was just gonna watch a bit and move on but because I get DAD is the hero here a Gen X'er I can tell. Please continue to spread basic knowledge on the so called high tech cars lol. Thank you for explaining in such detail that does help.
I’m 40 and grew up pretty poor in north Louisiana and my dad fixed everything and I mean everything. He made me participate every single time. I used to really hate it but now I’m the dad with a son who is helping me fix everything 😂. It was mostly to be involved and learn the basics and at a young age I was so perplexed how he made these repairs when I wasn’t around to give wrenches and hold the lights. I still tell him how thankful I am and I’m shocked at the amount of men under 30 that can’t change a flat tire. Kudos to this family and keep the knowledge going! Also, I’m going to put a set of these in my Ram!
Your video has helped me tremendously & I appreciate you making/posting it. I'm in the process of installing fog/low/high beam LED bulbs & decided to take a break before attempting the passenger low beam....all I have left.
Hope you adjusted the lens down to compensate for the higher beam cutoff... You can see the difference at 11:57. Even this little bit is what blinds oncoming traffic. Just as bad as the idiots that raise their trucks without adjusting the lights...
Whats missing is you have to use resistors on all LED conversions for Big Horn or you get flickering or light outage. I have been through 3 sets of LEDs in under 2 years. It was such a huge pain in the butt, I went back to Xenon 6500 lights.
So a lot of people say you can’t just plug the led in and that’s it, you have to get the resistor that goes b4 the bulb so it don’t strobe or flicker on you!!
thanks for the video.well done. I was wondering if the bulbs could be changed or if I would have to buy new lights. will be making the same change. do not like the factory bulbs at all.
fuckin video wouldve been flawless if you hadnt fucked up the 2 most important pieces of info we all need.... the link to where we can buy them.... and did they throw a code on the canbus system.
I really enjoyed watching your video about the headlight bulb replacement. It reminded me of working on my car as a young man with my Dad there to guide me. Having him there to come to the rescue when I couldn’t get a task done or answer my questions. My dad saved the day lots of times and I learned a lot of things from him. Most importantly, there will not always be someone else there to get that stubborn bolt loosened or un-clip a connector. Cherish every opportunity to work with your Dad and learn from him because one day he will not be there to get you out of a tough spot. Two criticisms to point out about the video: 1. Work on better editing and Continuity of what you are filming. 2. Stop saying “Hey guys” at the beginning of each take. This is like nails on a chalkboard and almost made me skip watching. 👍
Hello, I have a 2022 model and changed mine using your video (great vid) but after a few days, the began to blink/flicker 3 time and then turned off. I ended putting back the originals. My questions is, did yours do the same thing? If so did you replace them. Whether your flickered or not, what model LED's did you get? I truly only want to do this 1 more time.
William - I did some similar upgrades years ago, and there are some extra parts needed, forgot the exact wording but something like resistors or anti flicker modules or whatever they were. small plastic boxes with some computer chips / wiring inside, which basically fix the issue between the new LED lights and your truck's computer. This video showing just swapping halogen bulbs w LED ones is complete crap - voltage is different so your truck's computer will either pop up error codes or shut lights out while you are driving at night.. google there are several places that sell complete kits, including those extra wires / boxes (some websites show them optional for another $20 ot so, be sure to buy them)
@@nicka8583 I changed the light to a different brand an lower wattage and they have been working perfectly since I wrote this message. I went form a 55 watt per light to 30 watt per light and all is good. Here are the ones I went with for both headlights and fog lights. It ahs been three months and no issues. I also do a lot of night driving and they are good to go. The other ones, the flickering began with in a few days.
So I had these lights for about a year maybe two and I've had no issues until yesterday it started flickering like crazy I felt soo embarrassed going to work in the morning people thought I was flashing them, they will eventually flicker but I guess they make a anti flicker harness for our trucks I'm going to order it soon. I'll be dam if I go back to oem headlights.
Alfi obd u have to go into the computer and switch the setting to led and it will be fine it’s a wattage issue where the leds don’t use the same as the halogen lights they actually use less power
At that point, you’re better off just trying to take the entire headlamp out and manually disconnecting it. That process in itself takes a while and it’s really relying on you not breaking any of the plastic.

Id like to do the same thing to my Bighorn. Would you be willing share the place you purchased those upgrades and the part/item numbers?

Just lift the airbox straight up. That's what I did. They're not bolted down. Just on rubber mounts.
Absolutely wonderful video!!! A huge help to me and you did and amazing job narrating and explaining! Standing applause!!
Glad it helped! Thanks for watching. Hopefully you subscribed to our channel as well.
Love that you guys working together

Great teamwork. Like seeing you work on my truck. Thanks.
The low beam lamps are much easier to get to if you remove the 4 wheel well cover screws, you can reach it directly.
good to know, I might consider this when I change mine.

Thanks for this bro! Helped out so much
Did you need resistors for these
Hi, I plan on ordering these for my ‘22 Ram Bighorn. Do they still meet your expectations?
fuckin video wouldve been flawless if you hadnt fucked up the 2 most important pieces of info we all need.... the link to where we can buy them.... and did they throw a code on the canbus system.
I've put the same lights in my truck no flickering or codes
And you can get them on Amazon
Thanks for the video it was a huge help
Good to see you have the regular hemi. Not the e torque crap. I was able to add sound to my 21. It rocks

How are does led bulbs holding up?

Great video and thank you.
21 is different on driver side, large cluster of wires blocking low beam.
Did these interfere with the radio signal and are they still working
Did you have to get resistors to avoid any flickering or codes? Or were they about the same wattage as the halogens?
Any issues with flickering, canbus or DRL not working?
Hey when can I get these same bulbs for my truck
They are plug and play ,no extra ballasys or resistors??
Any bulb out codes? Doesnt look like it on the driving vid but just wanted to be sure.
Same question as others. Do the flicker without ballast and/or throw code?

What year Ram do you have. And where did you buy them?
Thx

Are these lights compatible with the 2022 RAM 1500? Thanks in advance.
How has the longterm been for the headlights
Purchase link if you will
So what happens on the beam tech bulb if the fan stops spinning is it going to be a total meltdown since nothing is here to cool it down
What are you talking about? Led headlights get like 80 degrees F. What will melt?
They do not make these lights easy to get to… if you’re a big guy like I am with big hands that low beam is freaking hard to get to
At that point, you’re better off just trying to take the entire headlamp out and manually disconnecting it. That process in itself takes a while and it’s really relying on you not breaking any of the plastic.
Take off the fender lining. Makes it super easy.
Great informative video 👍🏼👍🏼
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching
where did you buy the lights
Great job!!!
How the fck is anyone getting their hand into the lowbeam... I can touch it and nothing else
What's the name of the bulbs
Do you have the purchase link?
21:15 go full screen and used you're phone to scan the code it work for me.
Make sure to pause the screen.
Will those LED’s work on a 2023?
My question too. I’m serious considering buying bulbs and having a pro install. I got big hands
