Nah, they’ve focused all the grief, mourning and hatred for the monster that took their children solely into this revenge trip on Jones. They wanted him to pay the GDP of France for having an unpopular and offensive opinion. That’s a travesty of justice and destabilizing for our entire culture.
I am so tired of people misusing the sour grapes metaphor. Sour grapes does not mean sore loser. Sour grapes is when you had a goal you failed to achieve. Then you rationalize that if you had achieved the goal you would not have been happy with the result. For this situation to be sour grapes, Jones would have be saying winning the auction would have been bad for him. Clearly not what he is thinking.
From what I can tell, the trustee allowed a bid that albeit creative, allowed for higher payments to unsecured creditors and possibly higher relief of Jones's debts. I read the trustee's request to complete the sale, and he valued the winning bid at effectively $7 million vs the $3.5 million bid of FUAC (yes - that's their acronym). So theoretically a win-win other than Jones wanting his confederates to win the bid so that they can put him back on air as if nothing had ever happened. However, that's not the bankruptcy judge's concern. His is for the creditors to be made whole to the highest extent, and Jones's debts being reduced to the highest extent. We all know what Jones is going to do, which is to hide all his future income and assets behind other people to try and prevent it from being seized.
But when they are selling his assets to pay down debt from the judgement, they are obligated to take the highest bidder. Lets say I get a million dollar judgement against you, and your property is being sold at auction and they accept a bid of 100 dollars, when there are other bids of 500,000 dollars that could pay down half of what you owe? The 3.5 million bid from the company affiliated with Jones is the highest bid, so they must accept it, or cancel the auction.
You’d have a point except the distribution waiver the CT families put in is convertible to USD which was fine for the auction and was agreed upon as outlined by the trustee. It’d be like if someone bid 1.75 million, but also included 14 crypto of your choice for this example, even though crypto isn’t cash, it’s convertible and drives the bid up. The reason the Trustee who owns Alex’s IP picked the Onion’s bid is it still got cash, while also reducing the overall debt Alex has, which is good for Alex in paying said debt. You can cry illegal, but that’s all it is, crying.
@@mimosajd Even after reading the trustee's request to complete the sale, I'm wondering about a few things. The bankruptcy judge's primary concern is to maximize the payments to the creditors while also maximizing the extent to which the debts that Jones owes are reduced. That's why trustees don't just take lowball offers. The trustee calculated that the winning bid by The Onion was effectively worth $7 million even though it was only $1.75 million in a cash payment. He also noted that (because of assorted liabilities from the sale) the unsecured creditors would have been paid less than $100K from the losing bid, while the unsecured creditors would have been paid over $200K from the winning bid because of the the proceeds waiver. I'm thinking the proceeds waiver might have also relieved Jones of some of his debt, which would theoretically also be to his advantage.
It's an obvious racket and collusion of several entities to violate rights in the name of politically targeting and assassinating the character of an individual at any cost, even if it means spending every dime collected milking the victim. This should be illegal.
Not the same when he put those parents on blast about the whole conspiracy theories surrounding Sandy Hook people kept harassing the kids parents because they thought they had something to do with it. That’s a big problem. That’s much different people still attack them today about those sorts of things because of what he said, and their kids just died.
Guess that's what they're running on now. lawsuits. lol. Nobody cares about actual news anymore they just sue each other. Hope they sue each other out of existence.
The onion “bought” infowars in an auction that wasn’t legally held With a bid that wasn’t the highest And will pay for it with money that doesn’t exist Is that weird??
The trustee assigned a higher value ($7 million) to the winning bid based on the Distributable Proceeds Waiver. It defined the "Gift Class" as the unsecured creditors other than the families who won the $1.5 billion judgement in CT. That included traditional creditors, the company that provided the supplements, and the families who won a judgement in Texas. This was from his motion to complete the sale: "42. Using these assumptions, the Trustee calculated the value to the Gift Class under the backup bid as well as under the winning bid. At $3,500,000, the backup bid yields recovery to the Gift Class of $94,050. In contrast, under the winning bid, at a $7,000,000 cash equivalent amount, the Gift Class would receive $209,550. To accomplish that recovery under the actual purchase amount of $1.75 million under the winning bid, the Connecticut Families would waive $173,250 of proceeds."
They didn't follow the rules of the auction. The families colluded with the Onion and disregarded the highest bid. Why would they want less money? They're actually becoming who they said he was.
There is also a big difference in when a lie is told one Said (alex) that an entire group of people being gunned down were fake bodies and that parents were actors and the other (New networks) stretching the truth such as misrepresentation of quotes, poll numbers at worst unless your a conservative then welcoming people under investigation for sex trafficking for state reps and people convicted of SA and 34 other felonies

Absolutely. The harassment they've endured for years was inspired directly by Jone's lie. How can one grieve? How can one move on when getting harassing calls, texts, emails, and even recurring visits from Jone's lemmings every week? Plaintiffs were able to prove Jones continued to lie for years because he was profiting from it. If you want to see their shambling defense and watch Shroyer come off as a total clod and watch Jones come-apart at the seams you should watch the trial.
Imagine your son or daughter has just been murdered and someone has the nerve to say you are liars and paid actors??? And all you can say is it might have hurt their feelings…
@teamginger9134 They weren't. The parents were going to give a guarantee for more money some time after the sale. The terms were payment in full day of. So not only were they going to take a lower amount, but pay themselves later. They don't want the settlement paid. At this point they're sabotaging their own settlement to be petty and keep messing with him.
1. There were two rounds of bidding, with claims to be submitted by the 8th, with the final chance to up the bid on the 13th. 2. Just to nip this, it was a sealed bid auction as decided by the trustee. It was open you just couldn’t see the other bids which was to ensure a greater chance of competitiveness in the bids. 3. The person above is wrong on the SD Hook’s part of the bid. The CT families waived their portion of proceeds from the sale, in return to help settle some of Alex’s debt. This was done via waiver and was convertible to USD, which is completely legal and above board. 5. The Onion was the highest and best bidder. They didn’t submit the highest cash offer but given the addition from the families, it allowed for due payment from the CT’s family to be converted as payment, which reduced Alex’s debt while helping pay Alex’s creditors. To conclude, if Alex didn’t like the reality of him losing his business, he should have never intentionally misrepresented a mass shooting causing him to face legal action resulting him needing to declare bankruptcy and have a Trustee control his assets.
@@anthonyj202000Sued him because "he lied" lol what planet are we even on anymore. And now this, amazing how much meat the vultures can pick from the bone after already violating the law, they do it again!
@@anthonyj202000 It was a big more complicated than that. I believe they willingly gave up part of their share to be redistributed to the other creditors. They also agreed that some of the revenues from the use of the sold assets would be paid to the other creditors in the future. I don't think they themselves were looking to be paid later. The families that agreed to this represented something like 96% of Jones's outstanding debt. I found this description in the trustee's motion to complete the sale. They were saying they would get more than just what the sale netted but a share of future revenues. "28. In addition to the cash bid, the Connecticut Families included consideration in the form of a “Distributable Proceeds Waiver”, which is set out in section 2.c of the bid letter attached to the GT Initial Bid and which is attached hereto as Exhibit E (the “GT Initial Bid Letter”). The GT Initial Bid Letter provided that, the Connecticut Families would waive their right to receive proceeds from the sale and assign the right to receive those proceeds to all other unsecured creditors such that those creditors would receive a greater cash recovery pursuant to the GT Initial Bid than they otherwise would under a bid with a higher cash purchase price. This waiver was, in essence, a bid trigger that would increase the value of the bid in response to the amounts of alternative bids, requiring a recursive and contingent analysis based on hypothetical competing bids that may or may not be made. The GT Initial Bid Letter also provided that a portion of future revenues derived from the sale of the assets to Global Tetrahedron would be provided to the Connecticut Families and the Texas Families as an additional form of consideration."
