I’m a new subbie. I’m two weeks away from turning 75 so I’m loving you giving us the yrs made. I remember the women in my family with so many different dishes. Thanks for the memories.👍💕
Yes! I just turned 80 and I see pieces that my family had. How I wish I’d kept a lot more things. I do have a nice depression glass collection that belonged to an aunt.
I smiled when you said the bear reminded you of fishing w your Dad.Ahh!Me too.I caught I think a carp and my Dad threw it back in without a thought !I was crushed🧸
Dr Lori, this is absolutely PERFECT!! Thrifting videos with Dr Lori? My dreams have come true!! I am so sure these are going to go crazy on YT. I’ll be waiting with baited breath for the next one. God bless!! ❤
Oh my goodness Dr. Lori!! I haven’t watched in awhile and I am LOVING shopping with you. These types of videos are amazing! It’s like going through the forest with a RANGER ❤❤ Totally bingeworthy! So proud of you!
Thank you! I have learned a lot from you and I've only been watching the videos for about 7 months. I have a lot more to learn! I have a lot of items that might be worth something. Got most from thrift stores in the Pittsburgh area. I'm starting to understand what to look for. I'm hoping to take your classes. Also hoping I can afford unlimited appraisals. I know people who keep things in their house for decades too! Thank you for sharing your education with us! I hope to be able to get an appraisal soon. Can't decide what item to do first though. Rosary beads, old cabinet or Ty beanies!
I really liked the picture with the lace in it I would have purchased that. I never used to like antiques but since inheriting many items from my grandmother I'm loving it. Thanks Dr. Lori for another great video I'm learning so much from you. 😊
New sub here. I'm not a reseller and I don't collect anything, just because I'm a former almost hoarder and don't want the clutter of collections, but I love to watch people who know their stuff, and you sure do! It's so interesting and fun to learn about things, and it's amazing what people donate. I love to thrift, but now only for things I need or can use myself. From SW Ohio.
Dr. Lori, you brought back a fond memory of fishing with my godparents. I caught a sunfish!🥰 But they had me pose for a picture of a rainbow trout! 😂 I love birdhouses too! Thankyou for this fun video! 🤗✌️❤️🦋🙏
Fabulous tour Dr Lori. That pair of mid century glass shades you showed near the beginning, were ceiling light fixtures in my childhood stairway. Though of course, they may have been produced as shades to sit on a base as you described, as well. Ah, the memories. Thanks for the look-about. Let me know if you ever cross up to Alberta Canada, and we'll go hit some treasure shops.
Thanks for continuing Thrift With Me. I have overlooked sooooo many items you find value in. ❤ I remember the bank and grocery store china sets. My mother purchased so much food to get those dishes. 😃
Thrifting with you are my favorite videos! I only wish they were longer. Maybe... Do full videos of one store instead of multiple videos? Just a suggestion. :) Keep up the good work!
I remember my mother paying for groceries with S&H Greenstamps and getting a piece of a set of blue and white china. It wasn't really worth much but it is a good memory.
Dr. Lori, you grab those 2 mid-century modern lamps things and make a b-line to where lamp bases are. With some luck, you will reunite them. Chances are 50/50, which is very high!
Found a Thomas Kincaid signed print, framed in local Goodwill wasn’t sure about it then found his book, new condition, said it was one of his 2 favorites and rarer then all the rest. Walked back and bought it. Also just found a Renoir print, woman sitting, high up on the wall. Bought it, walked out into the sunlight and saw it was the highest quality print you can buy. It is beautiful. If it hadn’t been on the wall I’m sure it would have been gone sooner.
Dear Dr Lori staff, I am so very grateful for this video sharing all her knowledge. I wish the ending was different. It felt like a used car salesman outro and she is a world class art historian. Doesn’t fit in my opinion, which means nothing really. I just wanted to share how the ending made me feel. Much love to Dr Lori and her team ❤️
I adore Dr. Lori. For some reason (I was probably off my meds lol), the first show of her’s I saw I did not like. Probably because one of her ‘call-in’ guests tried to argue with her about the advice she gave him about a piece that he “knew was worth more”. I thought that her pre-screeners should’ve done a better job or whomever was directing the show (if any) should have cut him off & redirected her to something more worthy of her attention…really. I later, (when I felt comfortable giving the show another shot, but only when they were filming in a different format- ‘on the road’- or something like that, got the chance to relax and enjoy the show and realize how much she knows about many different kinds of antiques. Most …or many I have met in my time on the planet (not that I have ever studied the history or subject of anything related to items leading to antiquities; with the exception of a few light courses in decòr through the centuries/ decades/ years and estimations for the future in conjunction with my career. I spent much more time in college & now independent study about color and art; later business for my MPA. My interest (rather, fascination) in antiques and collectibles stems primarily from growing up around my mother who was & is a self-studied/ taught and world traveled lifelong (near obsessed- only limited by our family’s lack of financial capital - at the time).
I would love to shop at a thrift store with you. I love this section. I have found really old games. Please have more videos like this. These videos are becoming my favorite, Thank you for all you do.
I love that she teaches us what to look for. She probably has pickers fallowing her every move so they can grab up everything she points out. Some pickers are rude greedy pushy people.🐖
Enjoy your knowledge of antiques and your entertaining videos. I am a new subscriber and it looks like you have a lot of videos for me to watch. Thank you.
Wow, what a nice Goodwill store everything looks so clean and sorted. I’m starting to really wonder why Florida just doesn’t keep up their stores as well as the ones you’re in. I lived in Minnesota for several years when I was in my late 20s…. Excelsior and Lake Minnetonka area what a beautiful place.
You got me on the Boyd's Bears. I have 3 really nice big ones and was ready to give them away. Everyone says there is no market for them but I think I might try them in my new etsy store because of what you said. Also the collectible porcelain dolls...my mom gave me two of them before she passed and I thought Oh dear, what will I do with these? Thank you for your knowledge given freely. I love watching your videos especially the thrift stores❣Noelle Stiles
That first clear elephant foot vase you picked up....I have one in red I've been trying to sell for darn near a year. Couldn't even give it away at a garage sale.
Have you watched my videos that focus on reselling? Have you read my articles on my website at www.DrLoriV.com where I talk about reselling? I also offer classes on reselling.
I used to fish with Mom & Dad. Standing in water, pole in one hand. Reached in with left hand and caught my first sunfish. Didn't get one on the pole that day. lol The birdhouses catch my eye too !

Dr Lori, like many of your other followers comment, going thrifting with you to various stores is a real treat.

Always love your Goodwill trips Dr. Lori. Thank you so much for what you do, I appreciate it.
I never realized the tall clear vase was meant to be a hearth vase. Makes sense! Thank you.
Those frames are immaculately displayed! I love a thrift store that is organized
I smiled when you said the bear reminded you of fishing w your Dad.Ahh!Me too.I caught I think a carp and my Dad threw it back in without a thought !I was crushed🧸

I’ve got my grandmothers and great grandmothers harlequin fiesta ware.
The stores you visit are incredible and nothing like the Goodwill stores near me. I'd be there every day! 😄
I love the colors in the two small paintings.
Thank you Dr Lori for so much knowledge. 💕
Yes,dr lori, i remember filling my hope chest with stuff from the bank giveaways!
Dr. Lori, you brought back a fond memory of fishing with my godparents. I caught a sunfish!🥰 But they had me pose for a picture of a rainbow trout! 😂

Hey first I love you!!!!!’ I left you a question and you answered it so quick.

Awww I loved the outro! I felt like she left the goodies for ME! It was short and to the point!
😂
I thought the ending was very fun loving.
I adore Dr. Lori. For some reason (I was probably off my meds lol), the first show of her’s I saw I did not like. Probably because one of her ‘call-in’ guests tried to argue with her about the advice she gave him about a piece that he “knew was worth more”.

Wow, what a nice Goodwill store everything looks so clean and sorted. I’m starting to really wonder why Florida just doesn’t keep up their stores as well as the ones you’re in. My Mother collected Royal Daulton. I got a few peices and look for it every time i. In the thrift stores
My husband just bought me a huge two stobird house but I could never put it outside tho because I want to keep it nice always.
Thank you for the tips. Stop in Utah for your next thrift stop and I'll take you to all the honey holes.

Wowzer!!!! You have a very stocked thrift shop....I wish mine were as full!!!
