I like shower steamers. You should make sure the bathroom window is closed and start running your hot water before you put the shower steamer in so the room is warm or hot you will get more of the scent.

It's easy to make your own and you can get the strength you like! They work best on the floor (away from direct running water) because the fizzing action is what helps the scent rise so you smell it. It's still no doubt a luxury.

Thanks for the tips! It did work slightly better on the floor vs in the bag but the scent was just light overall. Adjusting the strength by making your own sounds fun!😊

@@MeetMsMarie The most expensive part of making them is the essential oils, so I wouldn't expect much from most companies who mass produce them. Also, cheaper scents fade faster. They sell on etsy for anywhere between $2 and $10 each...and the expense of the oils is one of the main reasons! 😉👍

Thank you for your honest opinion I was familiar with bath bombs, but I was not familiar with shower steamers and the first thing I thought of it was gimmick and what you told me is exactly exactly what I thought a bath bomb works so much better cause you sit in the water the waters there it holds the stuff this one the water hits it and it doesn’t steam up

I've had more luck with other brands but it's not at the strength level you would get with a bath bomb. It works best if you take hot showers but that causes the steamer to dissolve faster.

I’ve never used shower steamers before! Thanks for the demo 😊 it seems like something I wouldn’t use. I think it would be better to just spray a mist in the bathroom before showering haha

I picked some up at Ross for like $5. Citrus/grapefruit scent . I figure for the price I would try them. I don't use a strong soap or shampoo so we'll see. I do love a good bath bomb. Some of those are pretty amazing and quite relaxing.

I wish I could use bath bombs. Sadly no tub. The shower steamers are nice subtle add on. Not super strong but worth a try!

I make shower steamers (for personal use and to give to friends) and I gotta say it's been a HUGE struggle for me to make the scent strong enough to smell, at least from the ground. I've pretty much watched every UA-cam video on how to make them and the recipes are all fairly the same but I could never understand how they would all say that it gives off a strong fragrance. I'd literally pour an entire 4oz bottle of essential oil (~18%!) into a batch and STILL could BARELY smell anything at all and all of my friends have reported the same thing. It smells a little bit stronger if placed on a bench at about knee height, but not by much. I've tweaked my recipe so many times and just wondered if all of the UA-camrs who make shower steamers are lying about how strong theirs smell (they all are sellers, I think). I'll try the little mesh baggy and include them when I give them away to friends and hopefully that'll help increase the fragrance. Thanks for this review, now I don't feel like I'm crazy when I make them and they smell so weak!

You are definitely not alone with feeling the scents are a bit weak. I've only had some success with the Bath & Body Works steamers but only certain scents so it's always a gamble. Thanks for watching btw and I hope including a mesh bag will help!
