- Today we start the final chapter in the Bioshock book, by grinding every achievement in Bioshock Infinite, but instead of fighting in the depths of the sea, instead we're clobbering in the clouds of Columbia! So how will this rather interesting game fair compared to what came before it? Well thanks to the achievement grind, we're going to find out the intense grind this is!

Why was the Songbird annoyed at the Hummingbirds? ............ Because they didn't know the words.
Definitely took me a minute 🤣
@@lizhardy6318 I had slim pickings with this game 😂
Ba da tiss... 🥁
😭😭
Not bad, not bad ginger.
Fun fact: If you wait at the docks at the beginning you can actually get hints of future events that will be revealed later.
The two will talk about why you’re just standing there.
What do you mean? Are you talking about their dialogue as they row away, or is there something else after?
@@hemanownsyou They just sit there, if you don’t move.
I don’t know why, but I find it funny that jazzy never mentioned Fink even once, considering he is not only a minor villain for the “get the guns” arc, as well as the guy who is urging you to toss the baseball at the couple at the start of the game, and even the guy Daisy kills when she starts her villain arc.
It surprises the hell out of me you aren’t at 100K yet. This is one of the few channels I actually look forward to watching
I like how he said Slate is one of Comstock's biggest supporters when he's actually one of Colombia's biggest haters lmfao
28:45 - Oh man, I did my very first 1999 run not to long ago, and I agree, the Lady Comstock fights on that difficulty were BRUTAL. If I ever attempt it again, I'll have to try that trick of yours in the first fight, because I just ended up camping out in that covered structure near the graveyard's entrance to hide from the soldiers, and waited for her to come to me, so I could get in a few shots before she flew away again. Rinse and repeat until she was defeated. Tedious and nerve-wracking it was, but it eventually worked. lol (I still love this game to pieces, though, in spite of its issues.)
Return to sender makes it a pretty free fight ngl
Bioshock is such a beautiful series! Glad you love it too 🤙
Dude, thx for finally covering this! Recently found your channel and loved it!
Booker and songbird are some of my favorite characters, songbird because hes a super big daddy and booker Dewitt because of his design and characteristics reminding me of p-3 from atomic heart, still i missed the bee powers
I can not believe Jazzy still doesn't have 100k subs, he deserves that and more.
Look now. The prophecy has been fulfilled.
Idk if it was sarcasm, if he's just mistaken or I'm wrong, but wasn't Slade against Comstock? He accused Comstock of lying about being part of a war. He was rather a booker supporter
Yes, you're right. He was a supporter prior game events, but at that moment in story he was already working with vox populi. In timeline where vox was winning, Slate was fighting side by side with Booker
Been waiting for this, great video big jazz👍
Yeah jazzy i did the 1999 ghost fight too i feel you
Sniper and Shotgun and some hard liquor.
Been here since your original dishonored grind (my fav game of all time) and been hooked with your channel ever since, honestly love seeing that upload notification. Youve inspired me to get back on my own grinds, just hit my 30th platinum (pretty low, I know) recently with cyberpunk. So glad to see you're getting traction, you deserve it all. Much love from Australia 💜
Seeing you play this series has been an absolute treat !
I love this game so soo much.
Fantastic Video Jazzy :)
Loved your video and opinion on my favorite game. For me, it’s always been like going through a good reliable roller coaster at your favorite local theme park, crossed with a museum.
Im shocked you maxed the health first. Just max shields first, you start with a good chunk of heath, and having a large recharging shield means you almost never take health damage, and when you do, its very minimal and easy to heal off! Maxing the health first just means youre gunna spend a LOT more time looking for healing supplies than you otherwise would.
And then salts is salts, that one can be maxed anytime depending on playstyle, the only important thing is shields before health lol
100% agree I found that out when I levelled my health and shield equally that’s an op option
Im shocked he did half as well as he did with that choice as well hahaha, i did shield and salt first then put my spares into health
Depends on difficulty tbh. In 1999 mode, upgrading shields is almost always useless, you get to tank like 1 extra bullet before the shield breaks, even if you get it maxed out. And if you're against snipers, grenadiers, patriots and handymans, it's completely useless, because those enemies all have attacks that break the shield instantly. However, health is drained much slower then shields, so it helps a lot more in 1999 mode or Clash in the Clouds 😊
Salts > Health > Shields imo.
Shields on paper is good. Who wouldn't want regening health? But there's some good gear that requires shield breaks to use. One of the best imo is the one that makes you faster when your shield breaks. So having your shield break more often means you move faster more often. As for the healing supplies thing, that's not really too much of an issue because of the amount of food lying around as well as more gear perks as well as Liz being able to toss health kits. Shields are just pretty much meh.
But hey, that's the beauty of games. You can play them in many different ways.
I bought this when it was on sale recently, and here you are going to make all those hard achievements look easy
The fight with lady Comstock was totally trivialized if you use vigors that destroy the corpses (like the flame vigor) because then there are no corpses to revive. Eventually, it's just you and the ghost.
I assume this still works, haven't played the game in forever, but I did 100% base game achievements back when.
Excellent video!
I have to thank you my man, if not for your vids on the series I probably would have never replayed this masterpiece of a game franchise.
Glad you found another way for the ghost part as I agree it was hard as hell. Agree the story was weird, really hoping the next one in series is much better. Looking forward to the next video!
Finaly i have been waiting this video since the first video about bioshock on his channel i am so exited for the next video that he will publish
"Convoluted" is an overstatement. Infinite's actually pretty straightforward: two versions of one man's lifepath converge on who is, would be, and was his daughter. That's really it. It's a series of "What if I (as Booker/Comstock) regretted this?" questions followed by pretty direct answers.
I think Infinite is the better pick between sequels, here. It's BS2 that failed to really add much to the games, imo, but I acknowledge and appreciate that people have alternative experiences.
Sure, but at the same time, a lot of stuff doesn't add up. My massive gripe with the game is that it goes beyond multiverses and brings in time travel, which is pretty much always a nightmare to write. The game essentially ends on a Grandfather paradox.
If there is no time travel, Elizabeth just drowned one of an infinite Bookers and nothing changed.
If there is time travel, drowning Booker and - somehow - deleting every Booker/Comstock, she was never born and was never alive to drown him, creating a paradox.
I gotta say that I downright hated the ending here. It's just... sloppy.
@@Darkhunter441995 It's not that it's actually all that sloppy, it's that the narrative we're following in Bioshock games isn't the video game in exclusion: we're no longer just in the pretty straightforward Atlas Shrugged* mixed with The Giver as in Bioshock, we're in Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead mixed with Arcadia - and of course all their games have Brave New World vibes.
What we're seeing in BS games is an exploration of how philosophies affect characters, not an explanation of events. That doesn't have to click with you as an audience member and gamer, but you ought to appreciate the difference.
*People will say The Fountainhead's everywhere in Rapture, and they're right, it's just more superficial.
This give me nostalgia. I haven't touched this game in years. My first ever bioshock game that i tried.
Oh yes, been waiting for this one! Good luck with the blue ribbons ;)
Hi Jazzy I coudn't have watched your videos because I was in the hospital but now I am going binge all of them
Jazzy keep up the good work I’ve watched nearly all your videos after finding your channel 3 days ago I love them you’re explaining made me want to revisit mirrors edge
Ah bioshock infinite a game of infinite confusion on the story line, either way cant wait to see the blue ribbions!
I quite enjoyed this game and I see what they were going for, they convoluted story wasn’t an issue for me either, it’s just that it didn’t land quite right.
Oh, that's what's missing, the end of the game review! I spent like five minutes wondering why it felt like I didn't completely watch the full video, and that explains it. Hopefully, I didn't miss anything about those. Anyway, thanks for yet another amazing morning coffee video, Jazzy! They've been really good, especially for these past few events of mine.
Didn't think you would ever take on the Spider-Man games! I'm really happy you're doing them, I remember commenting about it in a post requesting suggestions.
Today is my birthday and I found out this morning that my uncle died of cancer whilst I was asleep. Overall it’s been a pretty crap day but I’m glad I can at least sit in bed with a cuppa and watch Jazzy. Your videos always make me smile mate.
My sincere condolences for your loss friend, hope you and your family persevere until better times. God bless you and yours.
1999 mode was, like you said pretty easy and i got to the mother boss in one sitting. it only took me 3 WHOLE DAYS for me to beat her, i didn’t know that trick and had to do it the hard way by running and camping everywhere but i did finally beat the game. the rush you get when beating her is insane. definitely the hardest thing i’ve ever had to do in a video game
always love you vids jazzy
I’m agreeing with you on the fact that the scene was absolutely stunning throughout the game I’m looking forward for the remake of bio shock to come and part 2 to infinite
Really makes my day when i see that you’ve uploaded a video
Always love a Jazzy upload
I don’t know if this even matters since you already beat the main game but the yellow infusions help the most. The shield is HP that heals without items and can save you from being one hit.
Just finished the base game and had a lot of fun. Funny that you make a video after
Love the video!
Best game ever made for me it's story and handcannon it's just awesome
plz keep making videos I luv u
I remember when I did my achievement grind on the remastered Bioshock Trilogy, doing it all on 1998 mode sucked so much.
Thankfully I found an exploit to max out all the vigors by becoming rich at the fair by utilizing a loading glitch that respawned all the money and this thankfully gave me more than enough to have for the constant respawns and on top of it I only used scavengable items because I also went for the no vending machines achievement in the same run.
My dreams have been complete, I have never seen the dlc so I can't wait to watch those!
Yeah baby! That's what we've been waiting for! Wooooooooo!
I think most people can agree the story and gameplay is underwhelming, though elizabeth is probably what draws attention as a character
Om. My. God!
The Bioshock game with actually original achievement titles!? Ah, finally.
Loved that game as a kid. I still remember that ghost boss I couldn't defeat in high difficulty, so I had to lower it to "easy".
(I wonder if I can defeat her in "hard" nowadays)
This is what i have been waiting for. Blue ribbons are PAIN!
You can Unlock 1999 mode by inputting the Konami code in the main menu making it the first achievement you can unlocked.
If you think Charge is the worst vigor, trying pairing it with a bunch of Skyhook gear and a shotgun. Spamming that is a very good strategy against Lady Comstock.
The hardest thing for me was trying to do heartbreaker and the mother fight on 1999 mode
PSA return to sender trivializes the Lady Comstock fight once fully upgraded youll take little dmg and the collected bullets just shred her
...there were ghosts in Bioshock 1
Nice! Can’t wait to see Spiderman, I’m still 3-4 cheevos short of the 100% on that one XD
definitely my favourite game by far ever.
I've just recently played through it and the story is absolutely amazing, extremly deep and i am still mind blown
You called the luteces’ a bickering couple when they’re actually the same person from different realties
Lets go my guy. I have also 100% these 3 games, main games and DLCs were all a delight (except for clash in the clouds), easily one of the greatest trilogies in gaming ever made
Kinda hope he is gonna do LA Noire in the near future as well, such a classic deserves some love
L.A Noire has been grinding, the video will hopefully be coming soon!
Jazzy I also think you should make a channel dedicated to your hilarious explaining of games them type of channels boom on UA-cam
I accidently got Heartbreaker when the Handyman pinned me in a corner and I could only shoot his heart. I'm not complaining, but it was definitely unintentional.
Totally agree....when i played BioShock infinite, i stopped playing at the mother Battle because It was not possibile and the game was not as i expected....i was hoping for a return in one of my favourite games and instead got this other strange thing
28:50 With Return to sender Ability, you WILL pass through this battle in your first attempt
Infinite is still my favorite of the series
If I know anything you will go for dlc now good luck with blue ribbons I saw another person try and get them and there quite the headache
The antagonist's name Zachary Cumsock, i think
Finally… a bioshock where achievements have funny names?
You are such a great youtuber bro, you are underrated in my opinion. I think you should 100% Outlast 1 and maybe 2. Outlast 1 is not MEGA hard but it has an achievement where you need to beat a game on a difficulty where you cannot save (basically game in one sitting [1.5 hour max]). And it's also mega hard, most enemies kill u in one hit. And if you die, you begin the game from the start. Outlast 2 has the same but much harder and compared to outlast 1, outlast 1 is pretty easy.
I believe thst the first two games take place in a different universe hence why there will always be a light house for your main character to climb and there aways a city so the ending of Infinite saying if took the Baptism you become Comstock and if you dont you stay as Booker so in my opinion the ending infinite makes sense to me
Because there a univers where you stay as Booker and one where you Become Comstock
1999 mode is actually how I always play this game, it's like the game was made for this difficulty.
hey jazz, you shouldnt put the hardest in the thumbnail, idk maybe its just me but i enjoy seeing whichone you thought was the hardest
I HATED THE BLUE RIBBON ACHIEVEMENT!!! That took me like an entire 4 day weekend to complete. God Speed on the DLC
The easiest way to beat Lady Comstock is to electrocute all the enemies to death, as that will not allow them to be revived at all. Shock them either with your vigor or slap a shock mod in your hook and finish them with any of these electrical hazards to make the battlefield empty and the ghost sad and pathetic. It works a charm in 1999 mode. Hope this helped!
the blue ribbons broke me, thats the only achievement im missing on infinite on the xbox...
figures you got a hard time fighting lady comstock. i mean, look at that vigors combo.
Although this *is* a different bioshock from the rest, it does beg the question of what it could've been, as I've heard that there are quite a few things that got cut from the game, which includes the rather... condensed storyline? Which imo does feel a bit off-putting for a first-timer like me grabbing a hold of this game, and it becoming my first in the series, as despite its beauty, it does feel as if its to fit an agenda, rather than a free-flowing beauty like its predeceseors.
Although I've yet to gauge out the facts from fiction, so its best to take what I say with a grain of salt, as I'm purely going off memory and the words of others, but nevertheless, thank you for another video to binge! And would love to see more of it in the future!
This man's been "murdered"!
This was the first, and so far only Bioshock I have played... it was on the PS3, so the controls were not great. Overall, enjoyed the game and setting. Actually, I still need to go back and do the DLC...though if there is a way to cheese those blue ribbons, best believe I will find and use it haha
The choice to limit our arsenal to only 2 weapons was bad.
Feel like the dlc wraps everything up a lil better
It has been 6 months since this video was made and I do not see the dlc achievements video but the end of the video says it should be out in a couple of weeks 😢😢😢
The story for me was decent and glad to see it somewhat disconnected from the first couple games. however i loved the vigors and all the combos you can do with them. Undertow plus Shock Jockey was truly broken
So it wasn’t just me having issues with the Lady Comstock fight. It made me rage a bit other than that yeah 1999 more wasn’t too hard.
I've really come to love the Bioshock series although it's taken me quite a while to finally play the games, I think april '21 and while I enjoyed all of them I think I liked Infinite the most.
It has a great story, some great gun- and skillplay with all the vigors and last but not least, Elizabeth. She's such a great addition to the game and character/buddy/NPC in general.
Booker! Catch!
I didn't really like the story either. Yet every review or anyone I talked to claimed it was a masterpiece and some of the best writing in a video game. It's one thing to not like something, it's another to have practically everyone disagree with you. Nice to find someone that also didn't like the story very much.
we are the goats!
Yea lady comstock is pretty tanky even in normal mode. Best bet is to ignore the soldiers and kill her as quickly as possible. I just used the sniper with upgraded damage and the head master apparel piece that increases crit damage by 50% as well as the tunnel vision piece that decreases damage by 25% when hip firing and increases it 25% when aiming down sights. Dome her in the head several times before she gets a chance to resurrect too many people. Bioshock infinite also gets much much harder when you're constantly swapping weapons. I get you might do it when you're out of ammo but trust me you wanna pick a weapon you like and commit to it cause they all eventually get power crept as the game progresses and you only get enough money to upgrade a few guns and vigors. My first play through was pretty rough even on normal but every time i replay it now i just commit to the hand canon, sniper and maybe the carbine if i can afford it. Bucking bronco is also probably the most op vigor in the game too. Makes it so enemies are rendered incapable of shooting at you, massivley increases damage dealt to airborne enemies, incredibly cheap to use saltwise and can refresh its duration and spread to more enemies every time you get a kill with the upgrade. You can clear entire rooms with one use and it does wonders for your ammo economy. Also you made the game harder on yourself than it had to be by upgrading health first. Health is the least important of the infusion upgrades. Unlike your shield it doesn't regenerate and you can't use your vigors as often to help in combat
Only helps in the rare instance you get hit by something that can potentially one tap you like eating a rpg or getting sniped
I loved bioshock infinite. honestly preferred it to 1 and 2. I never played 1 when it came out but I played 2 when it came out and then 1 so tis not as if I never playd them
As a gamer that plays there first time on any game on the hardest mode it was impossible to defeat Lady comstock I did that fight 12 times before making the difficulty on easy
The DLCs do a reasonable job of trying to tie everything together and give you a better idea what's going on with the story. Personally really enjoyed the story, but I do enjoy complex stories and times where causality starts to go out the window.
But now time for me to once again request one of my top games, Neir Automata. And while there isn't any time travel or parallel universes, it definitely does have its own complexities and twists.
Isn't there a bit of time travel involved with the chapter system or even parallel universes?
Or it could be that everything keeps repeating itself so you're not going back in time, you're just going further into the future and fighting those same battles over and over again...
@@stylesrj
1st and 2nd playthroughs are more just seeing events from different perspectives... although whether that is simply going back to replay the first cycle, or this being a repeat of the first cycle is definitely something up for debate. 3rd playthrough is further down the line with the cycle definitely starting to wobble.
the bio trilogy one of the best 100% I ever did
9:25 well not anymore, he used too until he found out comstock started falsifying history
Right infinite I remember playing this game when I was in high school is beautiful and amazing but the story yeah this story is probably the most confusing thing I have ever heard I couldn't understand if this game is a prequel o a sequel?
I think this game would've been so much better if it didn't hop universes. Whenever a story does that it just seems like the biggest cop out
YEEES ANOTHE VIDEO
At what point does all the censoring UA-camrs have to do for video games become considered the censorship of art and storytelling? Because good god it's ridiculous how much people are starting to need to do it.
Best of luck towards 100,000k Jazzy!
you should do a game like slime rancher
Can you try Crypt of Necromancer? Very comfortable and pretty game
