Ive went through all the bioshocks doing the hardest difficulty achievements without vita chambers etc and honestly the hardest part about them is how unstable the games are sometimes lmao
''Now, I'm normally not the biggest fan of theft, but needs be when the devil vomits in your kettle.'' That has to be one of the most british sentence I've ever heard! loll
3:01 in this clip, the Big Sister isn’t attempting to kill Delta. Big Sisters are essentially insane and have a singleminded mission programmed in their heads. All she’s doing, essentially, is just trying to nab the Little Sister and get it away from Delta as killing him isn’t her primary mission, it’s to collect little girls and make them into little sisters or yoink them whenever a perceived threat is presented to them. That’s why they only truly try to kill you after you Harvest or Save every Little Sister. Because at the end of the day: they’re either triggered by the Little Sister being killed, or alternatively enraged that a Little Sister was returned to normal.
Personally, I do still prefer the second one, SPECIFICALLY because of the story and characters. I never liked Levine's style of writing, where characters are realyl just cold tools for the twisty story, and the original really only holds on the twist. 2's story, however, was far more personal and spoke to my parental side. "Do it for her" the Game. And the charactres were much more enjoyable, especially Sinclair, who just didn't deserve this fate, but it was inevitable.
Bioshock I think would have been a masterpiece of a book or movie. It’s not a masterpiece as a game but it’s amazing . . . The first time. After the first time it just feels like a slog of bullet sponge enemy’s for a twist you already know. Bioshock 2 however has a great story and in my opinion, significantly improved gameplay.
I mean, I get what you are saying, but the fact that BS 1 hinted you all the time about the plot twist without you know it is well handed. Also, even if I prefer BS 2, the stages in BS 1 were far more iconic and memorable. A weakpoint in BS 2, Minerva's Den, Infinite and Burial at Sea was that the entire time I felt in a Maze and lost all the time, because there isn't a memorable point of reference to guide you instinctively.
What I hate is mandatory hardest difficulty achievements to get platinum...since I love fully exploring games but I suck on hard difficulty cuz I have no time to play...
I will say, the ending to both bioshock 1 and 2, as well as to the dlc, they always make me tear up. Even just watching the abbreviated version here almost got me there. Such beautifully written endings, and such raw emotion, like the writers for these games deserve some HEAVY praise. Even bioshock infinite is almost to the same emotional level, tho that ones a bit more mixed due to the revelations of it, but its still absolutely S tier. They all are. The best written games in all of gaming history, honestly.
Please never stop doing your teasers for next weeks episode, always gives me something to look forward to each week! Can't wait for Prey, played it after being inspired by your Dishonored videos and it immediately took a spot on my personal top 10 all time favorites. Cheers
Bioshock 2 is my favourite bioshock not because of story or anything, purely for getting to run around rapture after bioshock 1 as a tank and annihilate the splicers for giving me nightmares as a child
Can't wait to watch you play Bioshock Infinite on 1999 mode. 1999 mode is difficult but nothing compared to Akumu mode in The Evil Within so I think it'll be a breeze for you. Keep up the great content.
The Look at You Hacker achievement is probably the only other one that has a good name like 9 Irony: it’s a reference to the DOS installer dialog in the first System Shock game, which also played in the opening FMV of System Shock 2.
First video I’ve seen of yours. Really enjoyed it. Just completed the first Bioshock and loved it. About to start Bioshock 2. Watching your video has made me excited for it. Cheers
Bioshock 2 will like always hold a place in my heart since it was one of the like first proper games I was able to play and beat on my own as a kid and now 10 years later it still is one of my favourites and so is Bioshock 1, the achievements arent the worst but they could be better, you could like easily cheese the difficulty ones in Bioshock (from memory you can literally just make a save file before beating Atlas and switch to the hardest to beat him or just do the whole fight on the hardest since its piss easy) but you also can in Bioshock 2 since it has a funky glitch where you go godmode thanks to a **really** easy to perform glitch using Recon and a plasmid switcher machine, yes i did it to platinum it and no idc that i abused glitches, i still suck at games lol, still people like you have absolutely helped boost my need to collect platinums in some of the games i absolutely love
I would still say 2 is my favorite. I liked Delta. I liked Eleanor. I liked the story. I feel the combat feels much better than the first. I also like just being able to absolutely destroy enemies with the drill dash. I also actually prefer one of the neutral endings of the game to the good or bad endings. The one where Eleanor wants to absorb Delta, but Delta refuses. It's a somber ending, but it feels like the "right" ending imo.
I always liked collecting adam, those moments make you to max out your tactics and strategical thinking, like some kind of casual immersive sim tower defense.
@@mattymerr701 although, there's ton of ways to make your playthrough more unic and easier. Hack security systems, make enemies fight with each other, organize defence by placing traps, plasmids, turrets, customize your abilities and choose weapons for every situation... You can't hide behind a cover or shoot fast enough to never get hit, so you need to outsmart and outplay your opponent. Only that. Everething else is not an immersive sim at all.
i literally watched your bioshock 1 vid last night and checked to see if you did bioshock two to no avail, so imagine my surprise you post it today, the day after i saw the first
Okay, why am I so early on a bioshock 2 video on a channel I have never seen before? Is this like the beginning of another golden age of youtube or something????
I'm currently doing the Achievement grind for Dark Souls 2 and think that series would be interesting to touch on. They're mostly just beat all bosses and get all magics but if you're willing to put in the man hours you can get all of them without playing online
Ah one of the first 18+ games I ever plays (call of duty and god of war 3) it may not be perfect but it honestly a fun game to enjoy, this gem will always have a place in my heart
Stanley Poole is one of the NPC's where you can decide and i would definetly blast him to Smithereens even though i usually dont revenge kill in Games, however, when i did my Achievement Runs, i left with the Satisfaction of knowing that Splicers will flood into the Place and subsequently horribly murder him.
Loved this game. Almost went for the platinum one one playthrough (If I recall correctly) but messed up the photo one early on. Couldn't be bothered starting again so I just did a casual playthrough of it. Need to go back to it someday
Oh lol I didn't realize this only posted a few hours ago. I was wondering what you were talking about at the end with the ME sequel because I didn't remember you doing a video like that or mentioning it before. But I guess that's what happens when you binge rewatch stuff lol.
I have never played the original second bioshock, only played Infinite at a friend's house. And seeing that underwater stages with walking on the bottom appeared in the game, and some other moments, I can't help but notice that I felt the SOMA atmosphere throughout the video. SOMA is not a very good choice for achievements grind (there are only 10 achievements in it and they are all given according to the plot), but it is generally a wonderful game with a 10/10 plot. So if you introduce a category with the usual gameplay of games, I put it forward for consideration
the first game is better. but the 2nd one "gameplay" was better. having the guns and plastids at the same time was such a great change. which i think is why we remember enjoying BS2 more than the first. younger we like the faster easy to get into action.
Anger over achievements? How about the fact that it crashes every 5 minutes seemingly often, Even the best versions for computer, The only stable ones are original hardware, and after over a dozen crashes and finally beating it last night for the good ending (The only one that matters) until they completely redo this game from the ground up I'm never playing it again
"Look at you, Hacker" gets a pass from me for being a System Shock reference. That's all I'm willing to give though, the rest of the achievement names really do suck ass.
Never understood the morality system that has you committing splicer genocide one moment and then implying that murder, no matter the context, is bad the next. Of all the people in the game, including the splicers, Lamb deserved to die the most and I can't believe the 'good' ending has her saved.
You know, m8, you should be happy about Bioshock 2's ONE original achievement title ("9-Irony")! Otherwise it could be called "Threw a golf club at animatronic version of Ryan's head" and piss you even more.
I hated the good ending for this game... You die, they had a opportunity to have the little sisters and eleanor on land in a regular house having a cookout abd seeing delta walk out with a chefs apron and spatula making burgers. Seriously the thought of everyone seeing subject delta for the first time freaking out and the little sisters just saying "ITS OK, THATS OUR FATHER"
Is there a red dwarf reference in every episode? Or do you also splice in some Black adder and Bottom. Or various other british tv jokes. I will admit. I do feel. Sometimes. Its jarring to hear them and realise the reference. But its also nice knowing im not the only person on the internet who enjoys ye olde british humour.
So there is a Red Dwarf reference in every vid more or less, but with Blackadder and Bottom, i may sneak a quote in from time to time but i don't go out of my way too, and yeah they're my favourite and they genuinely steer my humour and jokes now xD

No vita chambers is the best way to play! Great job

my fave achievement hunter and my fave bioshock, this is gonna be a great video
No offense intended Jazzy. But I never seen someone get so angry over bad trophy/achievement titles!
Understandable, I just dislike the wasted potential, I might be a touch dramatic 🤔
I agree there could be some creativity put into the names

I'm liking the Red Dwarf references in the last few episodes. The King of the Potato people is pleased.
1:53 The timing mate! XD
"Family matters" or "best big brother" would've been better names for the achievement for helping all the little sisters
I'll be honest, I gave out almost the exact same chuckle when you hit the cat with the drill.
Watched this for the unprompted Red Dwarf reference. Fortunately Mr Flibble did not have to get very cross.

Found your channel through your Dredge video. Love the content!
I strangely want to see you grind all of dying light 1’s achievements but “GD Parkour Instructor” is hell

Bioshock 2 is pretty far from an immersive sim

Since you do BioShock 1 & 2,you HAVE to play Bioshock Infinite, can't wait for that...... 😊
Tenenbaum: "Vy can't you just be normal?"
Big Sisters: *Microphone Feedback Screeching*
Mr Fibble is enjoying the references
For a sec I was worried that you wouldn't make a vid about Bioshock 2, glad that I was wrong!
Personally my favorite games are the inverse of when they came out (Infinite, 2, 1), so I can't wait to see you do infinites achievements.
Perfect timing ❤
Loved this game. Almost went for the platinum one one playthrough (If I recall correctly) but messed up the photo one early on. Couldn't be bothered starting again so I just did a casual playthrough of it. Need to go back to it someday
I never used guns in Bioshock 2. I never even turned the drill on, I just bonked people with the drill. It's like the wrench in the first game fr!
Babe, wake up. Jazzy uploaded… again!
Honestly this is my favorite game in the bioshock series as it also have the best protagonist, subject sigma from minervas den
Awesome video bro.
Amazing vid as always Jazzy! Have you considered playing through the master piece that is Titanfall 2?
Titanfall 2 is definitely on the list, will hopefully get to it some time soon! ☺️

YAY ITS SUNDAY
Would love to see you do The Orange box

I love how something so simple as a cat body is so memorable, I remembered it too... (I also punched it too but thats not the point).

C’mon jazzy, grand daddy is a great achievement name too

Where were the stats at the end?
Can't wait to see you do infinite, and will you be covering the dlc?
Coming soon including dlc... stay tuned 🙂
