Young audience is more exposed to non-Bengali commercial works (OTT, UA-cam, Pirated content etc.). Whenever a Bengali commercial movie drops, everyone immediately compares that content with the other available ones (English or other Indian works; even korean, japanese, spanish works are getting attention). Hence, the failure. At the end of the day, after a long tiresome week if I invest my money and time for a movie, I want to have a good time with my hard earned money. If Bengali fails to deliver that, I'll find another alternative from another industry.

Most of them are low budget ones, not over the top commercial ventures, but with intricate screenplays.
