    Great timing on this video! I was looking at both of these drones for my uncle who's a complete beginner. I originally recommended the Mini 4K but now I'm looking at the neo.

      Same here, didn't realize the possibilities the Neo has.

    Great comparison of DJI’s entry level drones. If video quality is important to you, there is a clear winner here. Thanks for sharing.

    I LOVED this video, I had zero interest in the neo (I didn't realize all it could do till your video) I now think the neo is the answer to what I have been wanting rather than the mini 4k. Thanks 4 opening my eyes to the Neo possibilities. DJI should hire you as their chief sales manager. Your a fantastic salesman. Thanks again.

    I think I got the best value for both worlds, with my Air 2S my new NEO. Can’t wait for the N3 goggles to be available in the US. 😊

      @RFC-3514 Місяць тому

      The N3 goggles currently don't work with the high-end drones, probably to "encourage" people to buy the more expensive non-N models. But yes, I'd say Neo + Air (3) or Neo + Mini 4 Pro is a good combination, since those all use the O4 transmission protocol, which means you can use the same controllers (assuming DJI doesn't artificially disable support for some).

    5:28 - The Neo Motion Fly More Combo includes the drone, motion controller 3, goggles N3, three batteries, charging hub and some spares for around 530€ (you can get it cheaper).

      @@billykyle - Trying again today, using different words to try to get past YTs censorship:
      If you can order the Motion combo from abroad (ex., from Europe), you might not even have to pay VAT (though you will have to pay for any US taxes and customs fees). I think it's available from some Canadian retailers, so shipping to the US shouldn't be too bad.

    I own both drones and for a start would recommend the mini, for learning to fly combined with recording video it is a great drone. If you then want to move towards the FPV side, then master the basic principles and you can get started with the DJI goggles N3, for example.

    • @RFC3514
      @RFC3514 Місяць тому

      Goggles N3 currently don't work with the Mini 4K and it's unlikely they ever will, since it uses the O2 transmitter, and the N3 goggles use O4. The Neo does use O4, as does the Mini 4 Pro (but the current firmware isn't compatible with the N3 goggles - probably to "encourage" people to buy the more expensive non-N goggles).

    • @quadroneld
      @quadroneld Місяць тому

      @@RFC3514 What you say is indeed true. It seems that the DJI Goggles N3 were mainly released for the DJI NEO, since the DJI Goggles 3 are three times more expensive than the drone itself. You're probably right about the compability of the DJI Mini and the new Goggles, something I found unfortunate myself, as I also have the very first version of the Goggles that were usable with the DJI Spark, but then not with the DJI Mini.

    • @RFC3514
      @RFC3514 Місяць тому

      @@quadroneld - While the Mini 4K uses an older transmitter, the Mini 4 Pro could definitely work with the N3 goggles (same as the Avata 2 and Neo), because they use the same protocol.
      But (so far) DJI has left the N3 out of the Mini 4 Pro's firmware, possibly deliberately, to force people who buy the 4 Pro to also buy the more expensive goggles (although it _would_ work fine with the cheaper ones).

    IMO, the 4K's low-light performance isn't better enough than the Neo's to justify its disadvantages (more expensive, bigger, more easily damaged, less automation). I'd recommend starting with a Neo and then maybe buying a 4 Pro (or even a bigger drone) if image quality, stability and low-light performance are important to what you do.

    Just asking. How you can do fly the dji fpv drone without connecting to your smartphone? Because Mine i can't fly if I'm not connected to smartphone with data or wifi.

      @@markellis03 - The 4K's sensor isn't that great either, especially in low light. I'd say get the Neo for fun and "carefree" use (it probably won't break - or break anything it crashes into - and even if it breaks it's cheap), get a 4 Pro (or better) for image quality.
