    Great timing. 👍
    I have only got this and………gearbox service to do. (Both keen and a bit worried about doing that).
    Thank you, as ever, for posting a brilliant ’How to’. 🙏

      Perfect, this fuel filter is actually really easy it took me 2 hours but consider the video process this is probably more like a 30 ~ min work. But if you have upgraded engine you have bit more to remove to get access.
      I had not done any gearbox oil change for time being, would be interesting to do that also.

      Perfect it come to use. Not so uncommon at all is from the breather pipe.

    The resonator is just mb trying to push away self service guys. I doubt it has any resonator duty as even cars without it down make any resonance.

    Watching your informative and nicely edited videos is always very enjoyable and instructive.
    I don't know if you will switch to W213 but in W213 the fuel filter is located under the car and unfortunately it is more difficult to replace it.

      Thanks I always try my best get as much detail in the video process as possible : )
      I guess a W213 is in the scoop but it probably not until I had another 212 wagon at least, it seems I also already registered a W213 channel for the future.
      That’s sounds quite like a interesting place to put it 🥲

    If you have a newer OM642 engine, you probably have a resonator on the turbo pipe (see 2:50 in the video).
    The air line seal shown at 1:44 is definitely overdue for replacement. I've already ordered a new one and will be replacing it soon. If your seal looks like the one in the video, don't reuse it.

    Now time to replave PCV valve

    • @MB212
      @MB212  27 днів тому

      Can you hand me some more info about it is it due to the oil there? I honestly don’t know much about the PCV thingy 😬

    • @danpan6420
      @danpan6420 27 днів тому

      @@MB212 you have oil moisture around the PCV valve. oil blowing into turbo, oil consumption, oil leak etc. On OM 642 you want to replace PCV engine bleeder valve every 50-80K. You will see significant improvement of the engine work.

      Ok fair enough looked it up whole assembly is around 200€ so not to crazy repair then 👍

    Please fix the seal to the turbo. Its not correct installed its going to kill your EKAS since all of the oil is dripping onto it. Thats also why there is so much oil. I had the same issue.

    Instructions for W211 with inline diesels:
    Step 1: Remove one bolt and remove 2 hoses. Replace the filter.
    Step 2: Done.

      For sure the old ones usually are much easier with the service things 👌
