Just an update. I took a D2 dually wide pattern off of my truck. I am using 2 of them for back up lights while plowing snow. I wanted a kick ass light for mountain biking and as we all know nothing compares to rigid industries! I mounted the light to my handlebars and powered it with a craftsman 19.2v lithium ion drill battery. it worked perfectly and ran at full brightness for over an hour!

I have a question but First thank you for your very informative post not many good videos out except yours. My question is will I get good results from a pair of the d2s with a 12” spread mounted in center just above the bumper on an f150

greenwoodr83 D series pro in the drive pattern or the side shooter would be a good option

Hi, in this video demonstration, was one light used or two light used? What I mean was 2 diffused lights used at once, or was it just one? Same for the driving light.. Thanks!

G'day David, the light used in the demonstration was 1 x Dually LED only in each shot. The light pattern and model is as listed on each beam in the video.

SnakeRacingComAu Damn that's alot of output for one light. Which would be better for a back-up light and to light up my 20ft flatbed trailer, the D2 drive or the diffusion? I would flush mount it to the middle of my back cargo door on my 2500 yukon xl. Thank you for your videos, they are awesome.

      G'day Richard
A back up light i would select Diffusion as this offers the best spread up close. The drive pattern would be ideal if you were in a open area where to much light isn't a problem.

The lead from the Dually is around 300mm then it plugs into the loom which is long to reach the battery is under the bonnet and also reach the dash where the switch is mounted.

If you had a choice to get 4 D2's in the driving pattern or 2 D2 XL's in the driving pattern, What would you choose? Thanks!

+Steve Babine G'day Steve, this would really depend on application. What type of vehicle are you wanting to mount the lights to ?
Where are you going to mount them ?
What type of terrain are you driving.

Thanks for the reply! They will be going on a Ford F350 on the bumper right in front of the grill, below the headlights. The driving type will be 95% highway and back roads. I was also thinking of putting 2 D2 spot in the middle flanked by 2 D2 driving?

G'day Steve, a 10" E2 Drive or Combo with a set of D2 Drive on the sides would be a good option. really depends on how much of the driving you do is tight close range vs open long distance driving.

Hi SnakeRacing, I will look into the E2 thank you! Maybe you can answer me another question. I am looking at a rigid light for my mountain bike, believe it or not! I was looking at the SR series of lights for their lower amp draw. Is there any light that can run off of a lithium ion battery for about 2 hours? The battery Is about the size of a water bottle. thanks!

G'day Steve, A single D2 drive would be pick you would have to work out the amps on the battery to the light.
