You guys have the most informative and in-depth videos I've found. I'm having a hard time figuring out what beam pattern will work best for me, but I've narrowed it down to one of the combo patterns. I was just wondering something about the E2 combo. On this video it seems like the E2 has a wide area of bright light, and a hot spot of super bright light in the center. Is that just because of the camera, or is that how it looks in real life? It seems like the E series combo has a more even spread of light. Do you find the hot spot on the E2 distracting while driving? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you guys again for helping me narrow down my options with these great videos!

G'day, thanks for the comments we try to make it easier as charts don't show real life what you see.
The E2 is a far brighter light and the hot spot you see is the Hyperspot, to a point it was a cold night and it is hitting the fog in the distance but you will still have a hot spot sooner or later when a hill or the light come in contact with something at closer range.
The key to picking the correct light is knowing where you mounting the light and then what do you want to see.
Also note that distance is not always the best option especially if the terrain is hilly or lots of corners. many make the mistake of selecting a light with great distance when more light up close is the better option for slower driving.

Very good points! I didn't give the terrain much thought. I just assumed distance was the most important. You have been most helpful! Thank you again.

Any plans on doing videos on the new Pro Series lights?

Steve Babine not at this stage, we spend a lot of time doing videos just to have too many complain about not offering what they think is correct.

I building out a overland truck based on a F550. The bumper has 4 openings for 4” lights and I can mount up to a 54” light bar on the roof. What would be the optimal set up? I was thinking E series 54” combo light bar on the roof. Diffused D series pro fog lights and D series driving lights both. Punted in the bumper. Should I add a hyperspot bar above my 54”light bar?

martin burzynski selecting the correct beams is important. What type of terain are you traversing. Roads, desert, tight tracks, hilly mountains all these change the beams u may use.

SnakeRacingComAu thanks for the reply. As we travel all over the world we will encounter all terrain challenges. We plan to spend a lot of time in Alaska and the Yukon before head to South America.

martin burzynski 2 x 20” e series pro drive on the roof angled outwarrds slightly would be a good option on the roof. U could add a 10” spot to the middle or dually pro spots between and outer edges. This would be far better than 1 combo as u would have more choices on what light u can turn on. Its not always about bigger. As for the bumper amber dually for fog, snow and drive for when general road driving would be a good option

SnakeRacingComAu thank you for the suggestion. I can see the logic of being able to turn off the distance beam. By spot you mean the Hyperspot? Would I gain much by increasing the size of the hyperspot light bar. I have tons of realestate on the roof so I can make anything fit.
On the bumper do you like the diffused fog lights or regular lens. Yellow covers or full on amber light?

martin burzynski having options with light intensity is important if yr terrain changes. Many think a beam with distance is a good thing this may be ok on straight roads with no hills or bends. A light beam is only as good as the terrain in front. Personally hyperspot is too tight a beam and offers no allumination. The pro series spot would be a better choice. Having more spots on the roof would be better than just one big spot. 4” or 6” e series pro spots with the 2 x 20” e pro drive would be a good choice. As for the amber in the bar u would opt for a diffusion as u dont want a powerful beam in white outs.
