These things are fantastic. I had the same thought at first. But I went ahead and got 2. I've been finding great uses for them basically every day since. They're my most used lights at this point.
As a mechanic of only two years. I did not even know that light existed! Thank you for the information. I have several of their AAA and AA flashlights. And I love them! Including my i5T EOS from them! Always in my niteezy pouch with my Leatherman, small crescent wrench, marker and a mini Bic. That light could be useful. Even with all the cons! God bless you. And great video.
Hey, thanks for providing good, practical tool reviews. It’s really valuable to have the expertise of someone who uses tools a lot, and can tell us if something is useful (vs. just being a flashy gadget.) (FYI: A use case for the flashing red light would be for anyone out walking or running after sunset, esp. in a neighborhood without sidewalks. Reflective tape is helpful, but a blinking light adds just a little more safety.)
First time purchasing from this company. It is everything you said it would be. Effective, solid build, I like it very much. Thanks for the recommendation.
I've been a fan of Olight for ages. I've used them on all of my hole-punchers except for my duty hole-puncher because the manufacturers of the belt mounted hole-puncher holder haven't designed one to specifically fit Olight attachables. I really like their rechargeables with the magnetic charging points.
I have a bunch of Olights and the I1R keychain light is simply amazing. I'm always completely amazed that something slightly bigger than a pencil eraser can put out so much light and be rechargeable.
Firm believer in Olight. Highly recommend the Prerun mini. Its small wotj a 90 degree head and magnetic base. Easy to throw it up onto something you're working on. It lived outside for a month during the rainy season and came out fine. Cannot recommend it enough.
I would be lost without my collection of O'lights. From those on my keychains to larger clip lights. The charged batteries last forever. The magnetic charging system is amazing. Happy Holidays to you and your family!
I have a few powder actuated tool lights from o light. They seem fine. They do get a lot of hate from the operator bros who pay too much money for some of the other brands, but they never really say why.
Because "They aren't battle tested" and no one gives them any respect when they're LARPing at the range... IE wrong name on the light. I consider these people the same people that look down on anybody that doesn't use snap-on tools or a Daniel defense rifle or ride a Harley or use an iPhone. They just want to drink the Kool-Aid and be in the Cool Kids Club. I have half a dozen Olight weapon lights and I've had zero problems. Plus... It's a light. The gun will still go boom. Not mission critical
Home depot was going to toss about 10 of those small cheap headlamps because people would steal the batteries or break the hinges. I asked if i could have them, they said sure. I glued a magnet the back on a few and they work perfectly and no bigger than what you have. The olight may be smaller but the other thing I like is it's rechargeable. my hack jobs take 2 aa. As a company, Olight is just awesome. They take their warranty seriously. If you need it. Got 3 on some of my bang bangs and lose set screw once, they sent me a whole new light in 2 days, free.
You do make me spend money, although I don't regret switching to the old man safety razor for a second. And I'm still on the first box of blades since that video came out. Thank you for your service o7
Olights for “power actuated hole punchers” are generally regarded as a no-go. Much better options exist for the same price point (ie - Streamlight). Olights handheld/utility lights are great. They are constantly innovating - releasing dozens of new lights a year. The OClip is one of their best new lights and I really like mine. FYI when the light is on you triple tap to get a ping/strobe mode good for search and rescue.
I’m tempted by this light for the clip option. My magnet light has been rendered almost useless since changing jobs last spring (almost every surface is stainless)
I've carried olights for a long time I really like them they're good flashlight for the price they do get a little warm but as long as you know that you're good
I got this NEBO rechargeable head lamp 2 years ago and it's tuff and a bit bigger than yours (huehuehue) but what sets it apart is it's 4 settings. Dim, bright, very bright and POWER OF A THOUSAND SUNS.(for about 60 seconds) Not even kidding it's brighter than the arizona sun in the summer.
Pretty funny I bought one of these the other day , bright little Fucker. Wish there was a mode where it wasn’t such a direct beam but whatever it’s pretty neat .
I have one and these are useful lights. The only downside of these lights is the light color is on the green side. I didn't notice this until I watched a different review and then compared it with other lights. Hopefully Olight will change this in the future.
Would love an update in the future after you've actually used the thing a bit. Maybe after the first job you get into a fat hand dark spot jam pull your phone out and give us a quickie on it's practical application.
Neat, but I don't think it's going to replace my i3t. I carry that little thing everywhere in that little coin pocket in my jeans and the clip can go on the brim of my hat for a quickie headlamp. Instead of a USB charger, it just uses a AAA cell. The boost circuit really kicks out a lot of light somehow!
Make a small wedge that you can mount in the clip part so that you get an angle when you need a slightly different angle on the light. New thought, you can use a different size nut to adjust the angle of the magnet clip if you need to.
I wearing a glove now had on all day , only covers top of your hand and the thumb and pointer finger lights up , they’re awesome and cheap enough to use till battery die and throw away you won’t even notice wearing , “ temu”
If you're doing a lot of electric work where the color of the cables are important you might want to look for the high cri version. Cri meaning color rendering index, the higher it is the truer the colors will look. If colors are not important the higher the color temperature the more lumens you'll get out of the led. More lumens more light, more cri more colors.
Olights are great. Only ones I'm not impressed with are the AA and AAA pen lights that they frequently give away when you're ordering their more expensive lights. I just use them as stocking stuffers. Yes... I bought that many of the more expensive lights. 🤷🏼♂️
@@FunkFPV nice , I bet I can get it for 3$ off temu , of course the quality isn’t top notch but it’s a lot of tools supplies we would only be able to get quality and never buy . I got a baby vice half size of your hand , more to laugh at but it does work lol
And odd clips and fasteners that always come in handy that only mechanics would use or know about is why I like the place , the only bad things is they will blow up your phone offering deals .
Great review. However idk if for the first 5 minutes you were trolling or my hearing is off from years of using impact guns w/o hearing protection, but were you saying “Flesh Light”?
Just don’t forget you stuck it inside an tight spot I lost an olight prerun mini that way never to be seen again it’s probably still there if I ever go back to that company.
Olight is one of the worst manufacturers. Overpriced, trying to make a cult out of their products, trying to oversell their customers that have fallen for their scam. Do your own research and get an actual good lamp without spending a fortune.
I’m not a hole punch enthusiast, but I still have had really good luck with olight around the shop, at home, and while camping.
I like your tool reviews! Please keep them coming.
😎👍🏻

I have multiple Olights & 5 of there orb lights all fantastic light's.
Olight is one of the few Chinese companies that are actually worthy.. They are super innovative
I just got mine a little bit ago… but it’s already been one of my favorite purchases in that last little bit.
Always like your videos 👍👍

Best Wishes to You and Your Family for the Holiday Season.
Thank you and the same for you 👍🏻
Olight makes great lights. The "Obulb" lights are also really great. Put out good light, last a long time, magetic base and waterproof.
Awesome little light. Been using their products on my "powder actuated hole puncher" for years, pretty decent. I'll have to pick one of these up!

These commercials are great. I just bought one.
not been in a tradesman role for ages, but still find ya highly watchable. Wishing you and yours well this Christmas C:
Really enjoy these reviews funk always showing tools and things I’ve never heard of or considered
I got one in copper....because i like a bit of copper with a patina. Same handy dandy light though
Love my Olight edc flashlight/laser pointer. Great light, long battery life, awesome product.
I might try one on my welding hood, thanks hoss

Bought a defective one off a 3rd party seller on eBay and they kept true to their product regardless and sent me a new one
10/10 company

I have an Olight attached to my springfield xdm 10mm. It will light up the tree line. They are a great light.

The ever stopped the exploding issue?
I have one. Never had a problem with it. Olight Balder S
I have a few o lights for my powder actuated tools, that laser excited phosphor light is absolutely insane😂😂😂
I have 6 Olights lights... Not one issue in over 5 years.
Guns and Gear dropped one in his lake and fished it out the next year. Worked fine.
Love olight. Been using various ones for years. This looks great.
Thank you sir. The compact size is really nice. Goode price point.
I’m tempted by this light for the clip option. My magnet light has been rendered almost useless since changing jobs last spring (almost every surface is stainless)
I have a bigger Olight that I saw Diesel Creek using and bought, and it's been great.

i can imagine the both red modes might be very useful for stuff like hiking along a road

Try their baton line of lights. Very handy.
I like the term "powder actuated hole punchers" 😂 gotta start using that in more formal settings
I got to use work-arounds for certain words 😜
I just don't hang out with people where talking about firearms is frowned upon. 🇺🇸

Yeah, I generally like more of a floodlight for work.

You had me at
Mini flashlight
Been using a nitecore tip for well over 5 years at work but its getting a bit temperamental, this might be its replacement 👍
It's only at 300 lumens for 1 minute before stepping down to ~180.
Would love an update in the future after you've actually used the thing a bit. Maybe after the first job you get into a fat hand dark spot jam pull your phone out and give us a quickie on it's practical application.

😜👍🏻
You're 100% correct?
Clip's are good for clipping. 👍 There you go.
They’re very clippy 😂

I have an Olight mini torch on my keyring for fishing, awesome light. This one might just replace it, moonlight mode wont ruin my night vision

I love my Olight Baton 3. I have the little charger case for it b
I’ve had pretty good experience with Olight so far. I’m carrying the arfkfeld pro right now and I like it a lot.
I have 2 olites there both great 👍

Have you tried the Fenton lights? They are a little expensive, but you do get a fantastically built light I love their headlamp and flashlights.
I’ll have a look at them 👍🏻
I always wonder about premium prices with lights like that. This helps.
There is a difference. Whether or not it’s worth it is up to you 👍🏻

It would be nice if you could clip it to your hat bill and use it like a headlamp.
The olight arkfeld pro is the best edc from there company in my opinion you should do a review on it
You should also check out the obuld from olight
Triple click from off for strobe👍🏻
Nice solder matt

O-ring light.
👍
Olights are cool, just don't use their weapon mounted lights if you wish to retain all your fingers.
Decent
O O O ORileys
what's the odds on when he loses the light? lol just kidding. My kids would find it any lose it for me.
I recently heard on the scientific channel that they now have satellites that even can spy on Uranus 🤔🥴🤣🤣
Old guys need flashlights, it's a thing . Talk to a 21 yr old on the job he doesn't own a single flashlight
Now that you posted that, have you received 79 requests from olight to review the entire rest of their catalog?
I actually got that before I posted this 😜 I’m not really interested in making this the olight channel.
As a flashlight goes much less than 500 lumens IMHO not much help in illminating anything. There you go.
😊
Seems like Olight makes terrible weapon lights but pretty good normal lights.
amazon says it won't ship this item to Canada....
I think you guys have a different Amazon. I’ve clicked links from Canada and I get the same message.
The guy rating sellers has become one.😂
Please go back.
I’m not selling anything 🤷🏻♂️
Does it get hot? I mean, uncomfortable to hold in a bare hand hot.
It gets warm. I wouldn’t call it uncomfortable
....sure, I'd most likely lose that small thing in a few days, a week max. They should make it smaller
Yikes, pricey 😯
They make Maglite look cheap... 😬
jesus $40 for a tiny light like that
My link is $30
Man O light is really trying hard to get attention. Every tool UA-camr I watch literally has been given a gig by them now.
I bought this one.

The light seems great but the fact that I gotta time the scroll properly probably means I'll never pick one of these up. Far too inconvenient.
The switch seems shitty enough to piss off every user.
I’m not a fan of “press and hold” style switches but there’s not much room for anything else on this.
there is a joke in here somewhere
ologht products are grossly overpriced... that is all.
Funny enough, what got me to stop watching Doc was him shilling for Olight every few months. But hey, to each their own.
